The Question Is
By Frank Daub
How could I have doubted
in that sky-colored look of yours
any
words spilled in the air between us.
With the melting honey fragrance of
your hair
and the litany of intentions filling
the pale luster of your face.
How could I have questioned anything.
Or would it have been less fruitful
if I had not said
that I was not certain.
To give you stronger opportunity to speak
assurance.
It is a young game
that keeps us young and close --
the question is.
And the answer comes from the sky-color
of your eyes –
in a soothing torrent of yes.
tuck your head
under my arm
keep hope
i assure you
you'll weather all storms
repose in
comfort
j e t t i s o n
all woes
of the day
you'll find peace
with your faith in me
let's dream of tomorrow
n o w...
let's drift into...sleep
I know you’re scared that nobody loves you
And you are frightened that you’re all alone
And how you pray to the God above you
In hope a little kindness might be shown
I know your past continues to haunt you
And you’ve got baggage you cannot let go
You but wish another heart might want you
But fear that’s something you will never know
Try to change, maybe someone will notice
Try to purchase their affection with gifts
Down on your knees you light every votive
Spending all your nightly dreams on what if’s
But, my dear, if you will look you will see
How I choose to love you eternally
I opened the door to my heart
and had let it speak without a fence.
If you did close the door to your heart
"Do not worry", I give you that assurance.
Just be a keeper of the trust
by not using
any of our free and fiery conversations
to suddenly break my heart and the world
in an instance.

The limericks that herein you meet
Were tested for pressure and heat.
Confirmed for all nozzles,
And yet, if one wozzles,
Return, if you kept the receipt.
TO BEING IN ASSURANCE OF SELF***
In your life’s sojourn,
Step off in undying faith;
Hope leading you on:-
Fear not death’s shadows,
Let grace light up your pathway;
Reflecting the trek:-
Believing in God,
Also believe in yourself;
Team working life’s course:-
With God as your guide,
There is no mountain in life,
You can’t overcome:-
As if a lost lamb,
Let God be your Shepherd;
His rod…your compass:-
If it is God’s will,
Nothing is impossible;
Achievement assured:-
Know this and be glad;
Enjoying each day in life
Your God navigates:-
Walk in Faith
Every Length
Every Kneel
Praying
The Connecting Talk
God’s Glory
The Testimony
The Look up
Overcoming Despair
Lord’s Care

Circumstance Vibe
Heaven’s Strive
The Provide
Head Up in Knowing
Blessing Showing
If you cannot help falling ill,
Maybe, best is blithe be and chill.
But if you be discreet
And decide to have it,
With prayers do send your claim bill.
It is your truth versus their stealth,
Who’d carp, contest your claim
And deny Refund Dame,
They, not in business of good health,
Would rather win for them good wealth.

Poet’s note: Medical insurance is in news these days. First there was this hospital in Gujarat that performed operations never needed just to claim insurance money from government’s scheme for old people. Then, an insurance company CEO was killed in USA by a disgruntled policy holder denied the claim. Yet, public sympathy does not seem to be with the CEO who lost his life. Strange, but true. Medical insurance is very expensive, claim settlement iffy and dicey. And yet, not to have one is very risky. This ditty dwells on this dilemma.
I slumbered, half-dead, lost in oblivion's night
Unaware of my surroundings, a fleeting, fragile light
Sleep, a battleground where life and death entwine
A struggle to survive, a war to reclaim the divine
But when I wake, the night's dark battle's won
I've emerged victorious, the morning's golden sun
And when I sleep, unbroken by the day's fierce strife
I've conquered the day's battle, a warrior's hard-won life
I rise, hale and hearty, with morning's vibrant dew
And praise my Maker, whose mercy saw me through
I fought the night's dark battle, and prevailed to see
The dawn's triumphant glory, a new day's destiny
Oh Lord, my God, guide me through the day's ordeal
For many rise with morning, but some will not reveal
The battle of life's crushing weight, its merciless design
Many will fall, but I, oh Lord, will rise, with heart and mind.

teen held wee life neath lamp light ~ what you doing ~ it’s the drugs dear good night
By faith and fate, we heal
Heaven will mend the way we feel
Sunrise will come, sky turns bright
The horizons will all turn white
Gray clouds will fall and feelings turn right
Prowess will show in all their might
Guiding stars will show the way
To where the stray souls will stay
Installing in my heart desire
from wickedness to save my soul,
refine me, my Lord, with fire
to fit your purposes and goal.
I am your daughter and your servant,
I want to glorify your name.
Oh let the Spirit pure, fervent
burn in my heart a sacred flame!
Turn into cinder worldly sorrow,
burn down envy, pride, and greed/
Provide assurance for tomorrow
by giving everything I need.
Your Spirit heals my soul's pain,
ignites compassion, love and care,
helps always in You remain
and saves me from the devil's snare.
Whip-poor-will, whip-poor-will, whip-poor-will all night
Security, assurance, delight
Defender of the small nest
Or out on his quest
For his mate.
Rest
What's his fate
Will he pass this test
Conquer, mate, rear a success
Life isn't easy, some fright, much delight
Whip-poor-will, whip-poor-will, whip-poor-will, all night
The dawn kept her promise and
erased the dark..
A ruby red cardinal throbs his
song of the heart..
A robin hops thru the grass
eyeing twigs for it's nest.
The mallards stopped eating,
their breeding I guess.
It's now apparent, a seasonal
change in the air.
The assurance of spring is every where.
I always want to be
Your friendly voice
The station you tune into
When you feel there's too much noise
I want to be the harbour
For your boat when there's a storm
The gentle fireside flicker
So the cold returns to warm
So often life is rocky
Or the waves can overwhelm
We need a guiding hand-hold
Or companion at the helm
You say I'm being gracious
It's not charity you see
Just love in paying forward
From that friendly voice to me
