“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, for in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.” - Khalil Gibran
----- A Sam Scott poem 15th February 2024 -----
I always want to be Your friendly voice The station you tune into When you feel there's too much noise I want to be the harbour For your boat when there's a storm The gentle fireside flicker So the cold returns to warm So often life is rocky Or the waves can overwhelm We need a guiding hand-hold Or companion at the helm You say I'm being gracious It's not charity you see Just love in paying forward From that friendly voice to me
