He waits at the edge of morning,
ears angled toward a distant sound.
A single breath, a quiet length
then he bounds, unstoppable
through the thin gold sliver of sunlight
that slips underneath the door.
His eyes bring the weight of wonder:
Each step a question, a story.
The flick of his tail is a language of love.
cherishing quiet contentment.
I kneel and he rests in...
A soft warmth burning against my hand
and for a fleeting, perfect heartbeat
the world is nothing but fur,
sunlight and the trust
that lives in the spaces between.
Every flick of his tail brings
a story only our hearts recall.

Can a lie be true?
Unwittingly!
Can truth be a lie:
unable to see?
Is what I perceive the only truth;
or, just my angled point of view?
Where is the bird’s-eye scene:
the whole, the real
that holds all things, and all of time?
Surely, that is God’s:
not mine.

Planting a seed of deceit to escape the blame,
Even the blind could see the trick in that dance.
Tangled deep in the web of truth-coloured falsehoods,
Dodgy as a broken glass that reflects beauty.
Only the trueness of its heart sees clear the truth~
Giving its forked tongue some time to rue its regret.
Care nor love enough to make a pet dog a pet.
Attention to fakeness won't turn it to truth.
Nothing but pure honesty makes truth a belief~
That deceit has only a few nights of good rest,
Before the truth shatters it into smithereens,
Ensuring lies don’t last beyond dawn’s first crow.
Only truth-coated innuendoes could fool so much,
Unless the ears that hear are clogged with thick wax~
Rolling out deceit as though not meant to deceive;
Pretending it wasn’t intended to sound absurd,
Ensuring that its belief was clouded by lies,
That made a lifeless toy believe it was a pet.

Cantankerous cancers found my blood letting from the slit,
Is it avarice of me to desire the love begetting of Lazarus?
Enjoying life cadaverous like forgetting the want to live,
Is it glamorous for me to die while God desires I live?
Forgo the solid ground,
My feet dangled off the edge of a jagged cliff.
I fought the howl of squalid sin,
I caught the wind sending back the fire of my padded spliff.
Below I spotted a town,
My feet angled to squish what I saw down to the earth’s crusty skin.
Got calls asking where I’ve been.
Like,
“Just,
Just been wondering.”
Yeah yeah.
Yeah,
I guess you’ve just been wondering?
Could’ve made it better before I made it end,
Would’ve,
Should’ve,
But I wouldn’t have liked to make amends.
A couple foot of rope set up to further suspend,
Just to be an easy way out for whoever he is?
I misunderstood a friend on what is perpetuity,
I just want to live forever,
Instead I pretend to breathe on incongruity.
And as I descend upon,
I felt alive again when I grew dizzy.
I felt alive,
In my life,
I felt alive as I grew dizzy.

Plain droplets plink downward risk-free.
Rain, that bristles on panes, weighty.
Rip-roaring, soaring, not boring,
as wind assists an outpouring.
Angled and claustrophobic dance.
Can’t see the light; cars take a stance.
Sky, a blue-gray, wiper flip-flops.
Shy, the soft pelts of ho-hum drops.

Several voices
From the seas to the mountains
Valleys to the shores
Liberty and Freedom
Forefathers before us in their wisdom
The Constitution
“We The People”
Standing on principles on solid ground
America’s Legislative bible
Value of our rights in continuation
The tone and setting
The White House honoring
The Senate Uphold
Again, We the people
Granted and expelled
Our Rights
We are the component of government
Angled words being heard
Power in multitude
Never a conclude
Having prove
Left and Right
Govern Principle
Lifting every voice
Exercising strength
Utterance no longer tolerance
Strong in endurance
We and Up to the people
One Nation under God
We the People
America’s rise

Reality words
Standing alone
A story told
Woes seen
Between mysteries after another
Circumstances encountered
Down to broke
Pavement living
Cries full of desperation
Mistakes that were made
Gambling and Drugging
No excuses for actions
Time passed on and beyond
No Family nor Friends support
Lonely
All alone
Winters came
Shivering in the cold
Roasting in the summer
Begging to survive
Human rag thrown out
Life was no longer mine
Who was I?
An unknown on the streets
As I walked, a voice said “BE STILL AND WAIT”
I moved slightly, and the voice repeated, “BE STILL”
It was a human voice, but a spiritual one
I began to kneel, and gave praise to the Lord
Life was starting to change
One must believe
Blessings started to pour
My feet planted on solid ground of a new revelation
The discovery with an honor
Encouraging words so true being my follow through
Pavement no more
Living all assured
Divine goodness
I am the witness
The Story
Glory

Sugar and spice, sweet in dice,
Salt and pepper, melt the vice,
Honey and mint, dreams entice,
Lemon and lime, tangy, precise.
Tickle, fickle, whims unshackled,
Wobble, stumble, life detangled,
Giggles, whistles, sassy angled,
Whirls and twirls, elements sandaled.
Tom and Jerry, amuse the ferry,
Popeye sails in waters merry,
Olive Oyl, with charm so airy,
Is life a small wonder, fleeting and legendary?

Sides
Look for sides of a

do that
very much.

It wasn’t clean at Calvary,
no tidy hill-top site,
neat-kept and swept
where tourist cameras
crowd
wide-angled
in the holy sweat
of multi-pounded package tours.
It was a common place
of cruelty,
and blood,
a skull,
Golgotha death
and mocking hate
and sorrow deep-confused.
In retrospect,
a place of wonder
infinite,
for here
the eternal God,
forgiving,
gave his life
for me.
“The Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

HOW CAN I PRETEND ?
PART 4
Innocence, zest, curiosity
remain intact protected
crimson hymns I earned
when Divinity composed
a skin of cheetah brown
amused at a white chin
where my masculine’s
fuzzy beard ought to be
HE raucously laughed
aloud at my horrored
‘Don’t You Dare !
O Great One !’
Then asked ‘What will you do?’
I meekly replied : ‘How can I
pretend ?’ which was instantly
rewarded with a claim of
‘That’s my Girl !’
To leave forever this
evolving Globe of
potentiality instructing
from another constellation
how Hearts are to commune
with robots or skullcaps
or election sweaters putting
forward theories of Peacock
Republics, my foot ! a cosmic
activist gone haywire
I turn or wait or patiently
watch your angled angst
royal regret, pea pleads
weak emojis, boastful
escapes to water caverns
You have to do what I
did to earn your colours
true without Pretence
‘s’ replacing mishap
fourth letter here as
four is my number true
Presence slithers like
a Plumed Serpent
she steps forward
dualing with Pretence
coffined cold

Emaciated test-tube mutations
Raised apart in pristine distillations
Conceived in dexedrine celebrations
and the crazed, ecstatic inhalations
of the professor’s choicest pheromones
Right-angled, inverted, and star-spangled
Drained and dangled till their nerves were jangled
Nearly psychedelically strangled
Quantumly, at a distance, entangled
On celestially balanced microphones
Their unproven kaleidoscope harmonics
Haywire mk-ultra histrionics
Phosphoric rhapsodical symphonics
And their backward time-lapse polyphonics
Transcribed on interstellar xylophones
For homunculus scintillations
Splintered, syncopated oscillations
And desperate mute gesticulations
No one beats those galactic sensations
Our own mad-twin Splitzmodic Vibratones

Spring
Took me
By surprise
Redbud blossoms
Doves coo early on
More species come to feed
Somehow spring has subtly sprung
Sunbeam shakes her yellow hair down
Angled 'pon violet covered lawn
Winter locked up the buds, spring held the key

Our nation is being privatized
By selfish politicians
Who are manipulating us
And their hate filled cries.
The question becomes a stark why
We ask the dark unwise
Driving us to laced dimes
Or writing rhymes.
Love is the answer I surmise,
Nobody else buys.
Emotions have no value in the marketplace
Unless you're of a certain race
That reminds them of their former master
Then they're more likely to share their wealth.
We need more than paper
To tear down these paper walls.
The order becomes too tall
When we apply an objective concept (currency)
To a subjective principle (value)
Our ideas of value get tangled,
Our empathy is mangled;
Our discourse becomes angled.
Discussions turn to wrangles
And our lives never left the jungle
But there's always a rumble.
Regimes always tumble,
Humanity continues to stumble
Earth's health starts to fumble.
Molesting the nation like a creepy uncle
Until we see our follies unfold
Then will we be so bold
To say we can do it on our own.

"Pleasure is the carrot dangled
To lead the ass to market or the precipice"
And when it is astutely angled
It will its objective more than suffice
How many have fallen for such a reward
To find themselves embedded in ice
While hoping for a lustful concord
There comes no greater fall in a trice
When tangled in such a honeyed trap
For which must be paid the price
Of leaping ere you look to take the rap
