If I Were a Poet

If I were A Poet

If I were a poet, I would write a poem celebrating your nuptials
I wouldn't call the moon by it's name, but call it your visage instead!

If I were a poet, I would...

I would whisk you away like perfume on the wings of the breeze
All my life, I would keep you hidden from the world's prying eyes
Even if my heart asked after you, I would not divulge the secret!

If I were a poet, I would...

My good fortune fills my heart with a strange dread
Lest some enemy's evil designs befall these moments of joy
What could I do but utter prayers to ward off the Evil Eye!

If I were a poet, I would...

As my last duty of love, my life would have fallen at your feet
And to this duty of love I would expound as prostration

If I were a poet, I would..

May the Bride flourish, may the groom prosper
May this poem of mine forever remain the preface to our love
Like someone praying on the rosary to ward off evil
My poem guards you like that of last verses of the Holy Gita!

If I were a poet, I would..

Whatcha Thinkin

Whatcha Thinkin?
by Barbara C. Agarwal

If you're thinkin 'bout me
Then I'll let you be.
But you're thinkin 'bout her
I'm gonna change your thinkin, Sir:

Kiss you all around
And up n down til you beg me
Beg me for more sugar--
Sugar sweeter than mercy--
You'll beg me for your brain,
Beg me to recall your own name,
Beg me—you'll see--'gonna,
'Gonna make your mind whir,

'Gonna do one thing for sure, Sir:
'Gonna letcha make my body purr
So you just think about me,
And no more thinkin bout her--

Twenty One- Yearning Bliss

A good time to introspect did I felt
Twenty one gave new aspirations
A time to move out from pamper shell
Show to the world I do exist on my own
Planning and moving with a sketch
Stroke sudden threw it all from me
Senses lost for days and months
Time elapsed going to a moron journey
Dreams still breathing path walked lost.
Twenty one meant to give results
Seeds sown since childhood after all
Out of sight seemed all that meant
Let it go, How come? How come?
Joined the pieces together with pills
Racing to the similar though lately
Alone, all alone have to find recovery
Dream woven soul, eyes enclosed all
Reached the path of success finally
With lessons beyond books ever hold
Twenty one lane - a yearning bliss enfolds.

Stockings of Love

World surrounding the small wonder
Dreams of innocent presents
Careless life of childhood
Little socks spread fun

Precious socks treasured all
Hope speaking every second
Expectations in eyes
Love so pure of child

Stockings woven pure pleasure
Guesses diving deep and high
As if world is enclosed
Ecstasy forever

Glitter of Life

Wishes came along from many sides
It was the day of world’s first sight
Partying around with gifts and buys
Still something missing I deeply felt

Is some luxury desired in life still far
Or some wonder sketched in dreams
Among such a large group lonely…I be
It was the glitter of eyes wishing near

Owners of my heart were distant today
When I am looking for happiness outside
Glitter of life brightens each time to see
The angels so simply smiling for my light

Only wish tonight and ever to address
Go again to the true glitter always mine
Wonder fulfilled turning stars so bright
Night has its charm back completing all

Now I call it a special day forever to go
For am near to my life seeding souls
Let there be pause for some time…ever
Fill myself with that aura of glittering sight

Holy Light, Christmas Unites

Illustrator all the years through
For the roads laden with dew
One day a fat man will arrive
Winds to fill with sweet drive

Scent of togetherness flows
Streets of hopeful stars glows
Cold breeze turns the nose red
This color of love widely spread

Smiles of tinkling bells filled joy
Dreaming sleigh ride as a decoy
Decorations tying the cities alike
Special treats being the delight

Rushing to shops to buy and buy
Presents and gifts touching sky
Listening tree the most desired
Adorning it together like a child

Hymns cheer the heart to unite
Santa must be soon by the side
Hopes and aspirations tie family
Christmas turns heart go homily

Magical Spell

A beautiful morning as something new
Whatever I am wishing is turning true
A book nearby candling enchants few
Ringing the bell and here is the view

Till so long I waited for that only “ONE”
Who knows true commitment in relation
Finally I have that beloved companion
True prayers delivered magical wand

A union of hearts with no selfish reason
Bell tinkled to spread adorable season
Feels like a dream being in holy benison
Book read it all as taught in magic lesson

Candle lighted showing way to Soul Mate
Till now involved and lost at wrong gate
Finally I have what I ever wished in fate
Magic did helped but no evilness or hate

Close the book, ring the bell, light the candle
Mark it as the dawn of true love idol
In this ruthless world magic may handle
A life of endless love never to dwindle

Magic spelled my heartily wish of fairy tale
Book read to start with bell marking hail
My wish to light the candle of love trail
Only to recognize, no continuing artificial

Musical Mate

Rapture when it voice embraces mine
Encapsulates the beauty of each sound
So clearly describes my mood all time
Makes me traverse the world round

The notes adapt so easily to emotions
Like a mother’s love without imitation
Strength of strings vary to give notions
Like a blessing coming from heaven

Bridges and pegs modify for happiness
A best friend guiding my soul forever
Taking away all thoughts of sadness
Satisfying the loneliness if I feel ever

True companion of hot summery days
Turns winter nights beautiful with tune
Plectrum strikes to giving joyous space
Renders ecstatic smile not easily swoon

Relives each time when the chords play
Like a child resuscitates a fading heart
Inspires to move ahead whatever may
Music creates an ambiance to re-start

Lost in busy life gives a worthy break
Spending time with whole self and self
Gives the desired while takes away fake
A Companion my life just waits to delve

Dusky Beauty

Relax and solitude from the chaos
A walk by the side with soul yours
Night sneaking out from day hours
Even the dull face gives no farce

A meeting of soul after being lost
Quietness lends beautiful talks
Life turns on such an easy walk
Momentous time, I am engrossed

Going back to the loved ones
After a day’s tedious run and run
No worries in mind but true fun
The dusk gives so much to learn

Shy wind blows over the face
Evaporating tensions far to gaze
Stars slowly twinkle at all place
Without expectations of grace

Hope of new rise stirs in heart
Past always taught to tear apart
Move on ever with joy and mirth
Forgive and forget the past

I Am Bored With Day

I am bored with day
Lovely sleep it takes away
Only work and no gay
Same task an option to pay
Nothing goes as i say.
I am bored with day
Life turns in a serious way
Deep and dirty reality plays
No dreams to see and pray
Any wish to party in dismay.
I am bored with day
Restless life hides the smiling ray
Speculations of not or may!
Each hour turns dull to gray
Wish to escape or run away
I am bored with day!

Meditation-A Music of Soul

Mused by the rising waves of ocean
The whirls of wind gives sweet breathe.
All around nature music tries to soothe
Turning back from tumultuous world.
Few are those who actually appreciate
Rest are blessed not in unusual sense.
Meditation reflects the inner harmony
The best music of world than ever produced...

2012 Researches - a Satire

Rat race is still to survive
A never surpassing desire
Years may come and go by
Life will breathe even in cry

Scholars at one end aspire
Speculate for time to be dire
Indicating evolution to retire
Fear of evil raises such satire

No steps to be heartily clever
Exploiting nature like never
If Technology will go reversal
Why wearing the cap of fervor?

Commandments of science
Corroding effect in life lines
Then why hatred still alive
Is not this greed just a futile?

Rather than a hilarious write
Each one should get up to join
Procure and nurture the divine
2012 and years will be bright
