one life
Go chase
Leave your trace
Abandon rage
Flip the page
Leave the cage
Don't lose hope in life
I promise it's worth living
Even if Learning to enjoy it
Is harder than aerospace
Don't underestimate your potential
What goes around comes around
Go find yourself
Put that screen away and look around
All you need right now is passion and patience discipline
Be who you want to become. Be who you want to become.
They can't copy your spirit
I know you are full of merits
Hard working, like to dance
Really just Like Just Like ferrets
I know when I see a good person
No need to prove it
Make them say
Holy cow they really did it
Better than an oops than what if
You you can do it
So start taking action you B
Stars are a wondrous sight in the night
They are a most dazzling precious light
Not only beautifying the sky
But guiding the way for you and I.
Dancing angels out in aerospace
With fineness full of heavenly grace
Around the moon scattered stars align
In eyes they twinkle, purely divine.
Devoid of stars the nights would be dim
The man in the moon would lose his grin
Alone in the dark, no company
No angels singing in harmony.
Stars were made as a stunning duo
From the all-powerful supremo
Starlight and moonlight go hand in hand
Beacons that glow on earth's grand bandstand.
Each star has a pattern of its own
That stays unidentified, unknown
They are there for folk to reach out to
With a way of making dreams come true.
A journey that beckons to explore and expand,
Awaits to awaken my spirits,
A path unwinding, where I take my length,
One false move opens the Pandora's box,
Shatters the bricks and mortar of my dreams,
But I'll arise just like the Thar,
I'll take the leap, into the great unknown,
My heart's desire, my soul's deepest design,
The passion that burns, a soul alight,
Aerospace, a realm where my heart surprises,
A relentless pursuit, to explore,
Design and build cosmic messengers,
The thrill beyond compare,
For people, sky is the limit,
For me, sky is my home to foster my dreams,
Let the flame in me, guide me through,
Fan the flames of curiosity,
Inspired by space and the celestial chariots!
A scientist once took to the skies,
With aerospace dreams and questioning whys.
He'd listen intently, a thoughtful façade,
Then go his own way—decisions, unflawed.
"Don’t argue!" he'd say, with wisdom so spry,
Yet soon he'd be caught in a passionate reply.
Papers unwritten, his ideas took flight,
But work clipped his wings before he could write.
He painted once, under a teacher’s gaze,
Brushed fleeting moments, like love’s passing phase.
Hearts he would chase with romantic embrace,
But Cupid, it seemed, had a brisker pace.
He speaks of greatness, of lessons profound,
Then segues to laundry and chores all around.
A couch-bound dreamer with active intent,
Age is the anchor; his will's not spent.
An inspiration wrapped in quirks and delight,
A tale of ambition, humor, and light.
Through all of his whims, one truth is clear:
Life's vibrant spark shines in him, year to year.
Started high school days, with science and math,
Dreaming of becoming an engineer's chosen path,
Time flew by, engineering degree achieved,
No time for novels or poems, I believed.
Limited vocabulary, science fiction in my hand,
Never thought poetry would be part of my plan,
Married life changed, loneliness took hold,
Expressing pain at 60, stories untold.
No syllabus, no foot, no poetic grace,
Yet pain in my heart found its own space,
Love poems flowed, in free verse they danced,
Expressing emotions, life's intricate romance.
Worked as Aerospace scientist for many years,
In the vast expanse, where innovation steers,
Crafting the skies, dreams taking flight,
Navigating realms, reaching new height.
Retired now, from the aerospace domain,
No accolades linger, no applause remains,
The once vibrant mind, now silenced, it seems,
In the quiet retirement, lost in dreams.
As a grandfather now, laughter in the air,
Kids' plays and joy, a love beyond compare,
Penned verses celebrating this beauty,
Yet, loneliness lingers, an unwavering duty.
Her Christian name is Constance, but I call her Auntie Confidence.
She spurts self-assurance as easily as a strawberry popsicle in July.
She oozes confidence. Some of us stand close, hoping it will drip on us.
If you say, “women can’t,” she will show you that this woman can.
Dare I brag, she was the first female engineer in the aerospace program?
Our family falls under Auntie Confidence’s spell when she stops by.
She is like a meteorite - teaching us to be real, to be confident
To be ourselves and let no one stop us. I am blessed to know her.
I
watched
attentively as
each fold was
creased so carefully and precisely,
and then tested with great care to exact the chosen form.
It was made worthy
of long, sustained
flight to compete
with the other
boys, whose
fathers also
taught them the basics of
aerodynamics from the
kitchen
table.
Deep into that darkness landscaping
By the grave I saw the quantum mechanics
The blackness covets the stars white dots so dramatic
Deep into that darkness space scraping
UNIVERSE-
By the grave I saw the quantum lights misbehaving
When I thought of the universe vaping
In a kingdom full of storms, comets rains
When I thought of the universe as I glaze
UNIVERSE-
In a kingdom full of storms
Beware, be for warned
Deep into that darkness landscaping
the cosmic constellation canvassing
Theirs is the darkness complete
Theirs is blackness sweet
I felt compelled to sniff the planetoids
Such a coved musty odor
UNIVERSE-
I crave the asteroid, astrophysical aerospace
Mixed eyed views of mistrust missed placed
and the atoms never grounds keeping
As the constellations just keep gyring
UNIVERSE-
Dimensioning and dimensioning within my development
In stepped a developing 'cosmic bay'
There is spectroscopic occultation
Laughs sounds of moving constellation
I crave the prograde, plutonian partial eclipse
Amongst this the beauty of this…UNIVERSE-

On Twenty Seventh of July
Two Thousand and Fifteen;
Traveled to Shillong at request -
To Indian Institute of Management;
There in an auditorium luminous,
Students and greatest of intellectuals;
While delivering his lecture brilliant,
Only five minutes, lo, ‘Cardiac arrest’!
‘Pulse down’, they said, he collapsed,
The audience stood stunned as though dead.

A Staircase in Cosmic Space
I had a dream that seemed so real
In which heaven’s wonders were revealed
I journeyed on a floating staircase
Exploring wonders of cosmic space...
A staircase appeared into the view
Surrounded by an angelic crew
“Hop on board” they were calling to me
Something made me aboard willingly.
I stepped onto the spiral staircase
Which rose right up into aerospace
Each step I took filled my heart with awe
Simply enjoyed the thrill of the thrall.
Moonlight illuminated blue yonder
Stars glittered in a crystal wonder
Angels were there each step of the way
Sweetly singing along the flyway.
Round and round I stepped throughout the night
Knowing this was God's floating device
Was off to where eternity starts
That’s the feeling I had in my heart.
At last I reached those heavenly gates
First thing I saw was the dear Lord's face
He was waiting with His outstretched hands
To show me around His promised land.
All was as I were led to believe
Exquisite flowers, evergreen trees
Colourful rainbows, bluebirds galore
Fields of Eden behind heaven's door.

Birds Drop In With Questions
(Birds Don’t Catch Falling People)
Fly high on the happy open sky little ones
Sometimes birds collide with jets in flight
Humans have the right of way in aerospace
Why is there so much traffic?
Passengers like to step outside for fresh air
Sometimes they forget their parachutes
To confine people in small places is wrong
What ever happened to imagination?
Birds wonder why people don’t eat more bugs and seeds
How do they fly without feathers and wings?
Colliding with birdies is the least of their problems
Birds don’t catch falling people all the time
In fact never if you don’t mind
Don’t worry about our friends in free fall
They think about religion and politics going down
And how to lose weight at the gymnasium
And make a loud thud upon landing
Brilliance and Madness
Howard Robard Hughes
Famously rich recluse
Dreams led him to the lap of luxury
Followed by nightmarish mysophobic OCD
Rich playboy aviator Howard Hughes
With movie starlets kept himself amused
Dated Katherine Hepburn
Bette Davis took her turn
And still more, which kept the tabloids confused
Born Howard Robard Hughes to a rich family
With English, Welsh and French Huguenot ancestry
Enjoyed a successful multi-faceted business career
But aviation and aerospace were his favorite frontier
Getting older and falling from grace
Never left the town of her birthplace
Year after year working on the same data base
She suffers from a serious bout of commonplace
Life just seems like a constant race
So much so she’s looking for a hiding place
To take a break from the insane rat race
‘Cause she’s nowhere ready for her final resting place
For some fun and to pick up the pace
She brainstormed ideas to give chase
Since she always had an interest in aerospace
She booked herself a trip to outer space
Outer space sounds just right to find her inner space

It's fast and it moves
It rides the wind like waves
Their feathers sheer the sky
A moving amalgamation
Natures hive-mind
Dominates the aerospace
The everchanging form
An orchestra of grace
But not the dischordant flutterer
Who zigzags in its pace
The off bird in aerospace
