Premium Member Ignoring a lot of Shoulds Today

I sit and think about all the shoulds
I could get off my duff and do it all
but I like staring out into my lovely woods
enjoying myself this wonderful fall

things need to be cleaned and tidied up
a plethora of messes should be put away
but I enjoy sitting out here with my pup
maybe I will do them all another day

26-8-2025 I’ve been sitting on a lot of mediocre

Surely one day,
I won’t know ‘alone’.
Surely one day,
I won’t go,
I won’t go anywhere alone.

Surely one day,
I can hold on to you,
Whenever I’m cold.
Surely some way,
I can hum to you,
The tune to our song.

I don’t know no dance,
But you make me laugh,
Smile,
I’m stuck in your trance.
You know you cross my mind,
You make my heart beat,
So fast,
I wanna slow dance.

Premium Member WE HAVE A LOT TO LEARN

At this time in our country’s history
when so many people are so headstrong…
where so many think they are right…
while everyone else is wrong…

It would behoove us all to understand
wisdom, like respect…is something that we earn…
That no one has all the answers
and…
we all have a lot to learn.

There is a lot of history and a little of you

Living off the glory your ancestors lived through
You need to go out and live your life for you.

Patriotic pride from an historical stride,
a war that was won before you were alive

the struggles for freedom
the heroes who died
born into freedom
you didn’t decide

History owes nothing but the offer of wisdom
live for tomorrow, you are not a victim.

Premium Member A Lot of Nerve

I prefer raw dates to most candidates
        Robert to Bill Gates
     Watching mine to lifting weights
        fewer versus more states

Some call me a rock-ribbed conservative
but they all have a lot of nerve
My day is filled with uncommon verve
in my swivel chair ~ Watch me swerve!

   Of Efforts Show;

Psalms, Psalms,

VOICES

Wake up!
The voices in my head keep screaming
Open your eyes
The voices keeps echoing
Always waking me up
Whenever life hits me down
From the mountain top
Down to the depths of the valley.

Look up!
The voices keeps yelling like I'm in the well
You miss a lot of blessings, when looking down
Look up!!
So you can climb that mountain ahead of you
Time and focus is all you need to get there
There's a lot to enjoy at the mountain top, if you conquer.

Keep going, no matter what!
The voices in my head, keeps saying relentlessly
If it's humanly possible
It's possible for you, only if you keep going
Stay on it until you manifest it, it's the law of nature
Tap tap tap tap... Until you've receive
The voices keeps hollering in my head and mind.

Premium Member Tanks-A-Lot

Hey everyone
A new job I got
From none other
Than Tanks-A-Lot

We build large tanks
Two everyday
And that is how
We earn our pay

Hey everyone
We’re going to ship
Thirty two tanks
At ten mill a clip

So let’s give it
Our very best shot
Courtesy of
Tanks-A-Lot

Hey everyone
Now we can play
Here come the tanks
From the USA

Let’s rush them out
To the front line
Those Tanks-A-Lot
Are sure looking fine

     ---------

Hey everyone
Those new machines
Just blew my house
To smithereens

Along with my neighbors
Now all in a mess
How did they do it
Tanks-A-Lot, I guess

Hey everyone
They’ve blown our town
Into rubble
Everything’s down

What did we do, are
We ‘X-marks the spot’
Thanks a lot
Tanks-A-Lot

    -------------

They’re just bulls-eyes
To raise money on
Money that’s borrowed
To blow up their town

Each dollar borrowed
Profits big shots
Then they spend it
On Tanks-A-Lot

Interest is owed
Money is made
Out of thin air
It’s a charade

That’s dirty business
Making people rot
To profit the top
And Tanks-A-Lot

Premium Member Actions Says A Lot

Do you think life as you know it/
Is all that exists/
Wow... you are blind to think that/
When God says no God before him/
Is God admitting there's other Gods/
This life has consequences/
We really are judged/
When we leave this life/
Whatever God you believe in/
You are judged by your actions/
You are judged by your heart/
Your actions says a lot about your heart/
Lose the hate/
Lose the ostracism/
Lose the discrimination/
Lose the bullying/
Lose the social distancing/
Lose the slander and defamation/
Those in power sets boundaries/
Those in power sets restrictions/
Those in power are not God/
Those in power are judged, too/
God or any God, any Goddess/
Only cares about our actions and our hearts/
Learn to understand/
Learn to develop agape love/
Because this life is not the only reality in existence/
Love is the universal keyword/
Agape love is the universal keyword/

Missing You A Lot

A summer ago, a gift from you
A melancholy autumn, without you
A summer ago, there's no one but you
The summer looks like a game
Excitement bring fun to both of us
It's great but lasts a little
Spring come, I'm missing you
Looking your picture I have you
Hope you will come one day
And fill this emptiness away.

A LOT OF ERRORS

I hadn’t seen her for ages,
But I’d know her anywhere,
With that finely chiseled profile
And that mass of golden hair.

We’d had a rollercoaster romance.
I remembered the thrill of it all,
As I raised my hand in greeting,
Across the crowded hall.

“Sold to the man in the back row,”
I heard the auctioneer say.
“If you’d like to sign the contract,
That’s twelve hundred pounds to pay.”

The girl I’d waved to came across
And I realized my mistake.
She was a perfect stranger.
An expensive error to make.

The day was a calamity
And ruinous at that.
I’d bought some garden furniture.
And I live in a tenth-floor flat.

Premium Member That's A Lot Of Crap

Release the hounds

Call out the guard

Some simple fool

Crapped in my yard

Oh woe is me

Oh heavy sigh

Look at this poo

Piled a mile high

No words will help

No song be sung

Just tell me now

Who flung the dung

Premium Member I wasn't sure what it was he said but it meant a lot to me

#1. I wasn’t sure what it was he said but it meant a lot to me.

Losing a lot more

Time has gone slow and I've lost the way,
Neglecting myself even more every day,
My confidence shot,
I don't have much go,
I can't build up my energy,
And make my blood flow.

I've lost my belief,
On a future undone,
It's sad how it happened,
The loss of some one,
That some one was loved,
More than they knew,
Life now without them,
Is one I'll get through,
But I need to recover,
And look out for our son,
Fill in what is missing,
Quite simply "HIS MUM".

Premium Member he wanders a lot

He wanders a lot
Calls it meandering
Different from a walk
Just a melancholy movement
Passing through the moments
Registering each sunbeam
Following its arc
Watching its dance
Laughing as it skips
Across the puddles
Teasing the hawk
With its shadows
He is not lonely
Nor is he alone
There are those
He takes with him
Telling their stories
To the dandelions
Sharing a joke
With the jonquils
Tossing snowballs
With the trees
He leaves a lightly visible trail
Wonders if anyone
Will follow it
After his meandering
Has found
A place to rest
