The Pima Peoples- Omukazi Pima Orikushemeza

He decided organic matter could increase his
overall objectives. he would dig deep holes
fill them with straw and horse manure
in a 600 square foot section measured.
In each corner a large hole filled
with manure. in the center he would dig a hole fill it
with straw and horse manure such then would be
 the sounding function to starting
a new garden.
a Culverts in culvert system was developed
to tackle the scarcity of water problem.
it looked like something someone would use
to describe an alien ship.
Deepest in the center an circle with
pie like dividers that lead center.
filled and lined.
The lining using heavy duty plastics and
stones
drilled holes in the culvert while
the exterior culvert stands to create the well effect
needed to calculate and store waters.Omukazi Pima orikushemeza

Premium Member Journey By The Numbers

There is a story within the journeÿ;
And there is a journey within the story.
Let the numbers both show and tell.

A 17 year old high school graduate
Went some 600 miles North
And stayed for 7 years.
6 jobs, 4 years of college,
2 years of marriage,
And 1 child born.

Returned to the South
And stayed for 4 years.
4 jobs and 1 child born.

Went 2000 miles West
And stayed for 43 years.
4 jobs, and 1 child born.

Returned to the South
4 years ago to retire
With his bride and
54 years of marriage.

When you add it all up,
The numbers are intertwined
With the journey and the story.

So far, by the numbers,
The totals come to 2751.
This number is history, and
The present numbers are yet
Unfolding. Mystery awaits.

But for now,
The story is not finished.
So the journey continues.

Premium Member The Day My Friends Went Insane

They were my gentile friends, ones I could count on
They stood by me when times were tough

A pep talk here, a couch to sleep on there
They kept me from falling through cracks

Year after year, we shared the cheers and the tears
Patient as saints, they helped me conquer my fears…

Until October 7, ’23, the day 1,200 of my Jewish brethren were slain
They felt I was to blame ~ though it was they’d gone insane

  ____________________________________________________
On October 7, 2023, Hamas radicals and 'ordinary Palestinians,'
along with some UNRWA workers, murdered 1,200 people in Is-
rael, almost all of them Jews. (A significant number of Israelis
were raped and burned alive as well.) Hamas also took about
240 people hostage. About 50 of those hostages are still be-
ing held in captivity by Hamas today, over 600 days later.

P.S. How can I, who have lived in Chicago since 1979, be to
blame for Hamas/Palestinians murdering, raping, burn-
ing and kidnappings Israelis on October 7, 2023?!

war part 2

I stand,
No man's land,
I will not sulit.
I have not won.
I have.
But not my men,
For those, i stand,
Standing on no man’s land,
I walk away, and grab my men,
I will not tell you im happy,
Because i'm not, thousands of men died,
Not all survived.
The ones that did.
Where under my watch.
I'm there to tell you.
I am the boss,
For those i stand,
I will make them proud,
But my men.
Stand on the ground.
Cover the dead ones up.
Now may they rest.
Take their belongings.
And uses them for the best,
Any food,
Drink or ammo.
I will take a bow..
I stand for my men.
Although nobody’s happy.
We have finally finished,
Now we all may rest.
I add up,
The time we have spent.
After four years.
Time as come to and end,
We won with 600 men.
Standing on no man’s land

As Broken As a Petal In Your Hand

I didn't think anyone would ever argue that I am broken
Life has thrown up one too many challenges to me
I survived but I suppose i am more like magma from
Volcano
I am like molten rock that's been aerated by fire
I am to be fertile soil eventually
I still have fire in my soul but my substance has been burnt out
I lack beauty
I am ash
I'm told Ash makes great fertilizer
Perhaps I can fertilize your soil
with words
Tired and accelerated ... exhilarated
 it rises
and I see it cresting through my window.
And as it does
I feel as if I am brand new
Granite and limestone
and I am gold
I am frankincense and I am Mir
Lines on the mountains
I am a million years old
I am 600 million years old
I am worn but I'm like that white rock you find on the beach
You can't help but respect the beauty of the lines that show up in a rock
jostled and beaten and tormented by the sea

I am purely round and all of my edges are gone
I am no fairy tale nor whimsical dream

 this small white rock "knows"

pumice that from Volcano was born
only to become ash and then to become soil
and then become the fodder
forth from
new life
Small rock

Move - Tanka 103

                                   Get up and move it
                            Over 600 muscles
                                   So get a move on
                            Yes! 206 bones
God's gift to man on this plane

Pink Hair

Wherever my neighbor goes, people stare.
They can't look away because of his neck and pink hair.
When he goes out in public, people constantly point and laugh.
It's because of his hair and because he has the neck of a giraffe.
His hair offends some men and they challenge him to fights.
My neighbor always wins because he claws, kicks and bites.
He's looking for another job because when he dyed his hair pink, he got fired.
He needs money to feed his 600 pound wife and he is desperate to be hired.
His obese wife eats so much food that the grocery stores can't keep their shelves stocked.
People saw him buying six shopping carts of food for her at a time and they were shocked.
People won't stop laughing at him and he says that it stinks.
It's because of his neck and because he dyed his hair pink.

The Swimming Panther From Brazil

On camera they caught a black jaguar crossing the Amazon in plain day
he was black and sleek and swam like an otter with motion and sway

Head of the wild life foundation was present ready to capture with lens
a special moment that at first looked like a crocodile, this made no sense

Black jaguars are near threatened species in Central and South America
so this big cat swimming the waters of Brazil was more then just la di da

They estimate only 600 black jaguars are left, so it was smart to mention
the footage and raise awareness in order to promote their protection

It was a pretty smart move for that jaguar to pick that boat to swim near
I hope they will survive for I think they are creatures to admire not fear.

It's not about the virus anymore
It's about not killing one another
Six feet is not enough social distancing
I think 600 yards is more like it
or maybe 6 thousand miles.

Until we can respect one another
and wrangle in our hate
we really need a trial separation-
Take race out of the equation
see if our chopped-up society
blossoms or withers
see how the sediment settles
see if the cream rises ..

Are we better off together or apart?

The Bermuda Race

The Bermuda Race

Don't sail the Rum Line lads

To that beautiful isle is quite bad.

600 miles heading just South South East

Is not the way to tame the beast.

A straight course sailors say:

"You can't win that way."

Newport to "The Onion Patch" the saying goes

Is a milk run but depends how the wind blows.

The Gulf Stream is always pushing you back.

It is a humbling current and that's a fact.

If caught in its many meanders

You won't be first to smell the June oleanders

The water temp will tell when in that stream

Try and keep the current hard abeam.

If you are there squalls you may see

Driving rain, lightning.high winds, and seas

Mind the helm and listen to the crew

Your navigator knows what to do.

It is a joy to see Saint David's Light

Then you know his courses were right.

But beware the Devi'ls Isles rocks and shoals

Before you cross the finish and reached your goal.

Premium Member The Isle of Man, My Forever Home

I feel so proud when I see our national flag raised
and sing our Anthem ‘Oh land of our birth’
This island is not the place where I was born
but there’s no place on earth I’d rather be
with mountains and hills, a patchwork of fields
and the ocean which caresses our shores
I love eating Manx kippers, see cats with no tails
view the famous TT races, and ride horse trams on rails
We do not bow down to ’the Adjacent Isle’
that’s how England is known to the Manx
Our Tynwald parliament's made laws for over 600 years
Elizabeth’s our Sovereign and long may she reign
I’m not Manx but the Island’s my forever home
and my final resting place overlooks the blue sea

There's an amazing megalithic quarry in Baalbek
A !600 ton stone block was placed, what the heck
How was this possible
Moving it wasn't plausible
The mind boggles, I need to pause for a sec

Premium Member Swans Sailing

each day I take a walk in the park
and spend time
with the white swans gliding
with such grace
on the flowing river
just watching
I could gaze at them forever
their beauty unfathomable and peaceful
what a gift they are
then . . .
what a surprise to behold
a swan comes floating close
with a baby on her back
I think she was showing me her little one
back and forth she paddles
fluffing up her wings then
suddenly swans
come from the green reeds and wildflowers
paddling quickly in a circle dance
baby swans come sailing . . .

A State Of Separation

He looks and sees yon desk
there'd be, a missing book,
so he searched his tattered mind.

Yet, be surprised wherein, he'd
find, a mind of clear consciousness--
with open eyes, again surprised...

Yon shelf there'd be his book,
but wore a troubled look, for whence
he knew not how'd it came to be.

Afraid, yet ventured 'tis curiosity,
but, for what he feared has now
returned, a tattered mind once again.

With open eyes, he looks around, yon
desk and shelf, and oddly gazed a floor,
as a book, sits unfound once more.
