Contest Description

This challege is from October 1 to October 31, midnight 2022 (New poems only)

I will finalize November 1, 2022

_____________________________________________________________

READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS TOP TO BOTTOM.

There will be multiple placements, so, if this is something you do not feel comfortable with, perhaps skip this challenge. Don't complain later.

No names on poems as per Poetry Soup Rules. Not mine.

I do not decide the order of the winners in each group of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc that is done by PoetrySoup.

Overly sexual and any sort of hate, rant, or ugly poetry will not be considered. I only want beautifully penned poems for my Writing Challenges.

Please do not add too much additional information at the bottom of your poem, though some limited information about the form you are writing in is okay to add.

Do not use the poem you write for my challenge in another ongoing contest until this challenge is finalized.

You must follow the "T" form descriptions on THIS sites, Types of Forms ONLY, no other will be considered. Although I usually encourage creativity I have to be strict on this to be fair to all who enter.

NOW FOR THE CHALLENGE . . .

1.  Write your NEW poem in any "T" Form listed on PoetrySoup Types of Forms, SINGLE SPACED, except where stanzas are required. REQUIREMENT *

Can be centered or not centered.

2.  DATE WRITTEN, CONTEST and SPONSOR at the bottom (requirement)*

3.  Title is 1 to 6 words only (requirement)*

4.  The following quote MUST be put on the TOP of your poem in quotation marks, with the Author put after and then LEAVE TWO SPACES before beginning your poem. (requirement)*

"recently scenes of early life have stolen into my mind, like breezes blown ..."

Quote by _Samuel Taylor Coleridge (from his writings)

5.  Theme - past memories

6.  Check spelling and grammer, PS Grammar Checker is excellent for this and also offers alternate word choices.

Check rhyming if required by form, I will verify with RhymeZone, (I will accept near rhymes but your rhyming and pattern must be very clear).

Check syllables if required by form, I will be verifying on HowManySyllables .

7.  PRESENTATION ... I am very strict about this, no white space on top or bottom of poem, no roll over lines, (end all lines) Your poem must be neat and tidy, if you cannot center, don't,  as centering is not a requirement.

Check your "My Poems" to verify your poems presentation looks okay (requirement)*

8.  Make your poem easy to read, if I have to run for the dictionary to find the meaning of words in your poem, it ruins the flow.  I am not impressed with fancy words, keep that in mind as I will just not place it, if I cannot understand it.  Deep emotional and meaningful words and lines impress me more. You could add the meaning of an odd unusual word at the bottom, that would be fine.
