Contest Description

READ THE CONTEST ...

Please read the all the contest description because it contains important information.  The reason most poets will not place is because they did not read the contest description.  Contact me if you have any questions by soupmail. Sometimes it will take a day or so for me to answer.

Multiple placements.

Write a NEW poem of Fifteen Beautiful Lines, for this contest only, any form (be true to the form as described on PS), any theme.  Make it beautiful, dark, sad, deep, meaningful or just fun !

The TITLE is FOUR words only.  It should relate to the poem. Do not use contest title, be creative.

The NO'S  -

NO double spacing, NO all bolded poems, NO AI poems, NO plagerism, NO sloppy poems, NO poems with empty white space at top or bottom. NO old poems accepted.

ALSO-

Check your spelling, grammar, Grammar Checker on PS is very effective for this. Check rhyming if used which can be true and/or near rhymes but your poem must clearly rhyme with an easy to follow pattern, and for me a few rhymed lines within the poem does not equal a rhyme poem.  Check your syllables if used in a chosen form, it can be PS Syllable Counter or HowManySyllables, and the PRESENTATION on the page is very important to me !

Optional, you can add a quote at the top of your poem that relates to poem, if yours put by poet, if not mention writers name

Optional, you can add images, video, audio. Should relate to poem.

POETRY SOUP RULE FOR CONTESTS -

Add nothing to the bottom of your poem, no contest info, dates, nothing.  (Optional put in Poet's Notes or at top of your poem.)   NO to putting names on poems or in titles, or any identifying mark, no copyright symbols or info. This is a PS contest rule, not mine.

Get creative and write me a poem !
