I quest for stars...for calm repose Lingering far from darkened sea beyond weaves of tranquility. Noises from my barbed mind grow dim As I reach this quiet of trance Engaged in one mystical dance. Through solitude...fear vanishes This thorn released in quiet time When minutes drift from pause sublime. And tracing imprints…sand from heel Gentle the lift , from nowhere came Where healing breathes…as I the same. Till moonglow touches my skin bare, A flow, a sigh...I turn to greet Lightness of soul, my day complete. First Place

Nette, it's been years.. but I dropped in today and saw that you are back to posting your amazing poetry. Reading "Whispers of Tranquility" was like walking quietly through the soul of a dear and deeply cherish friend—grateful for that inner connection. With beauty and truth you took this reader on a somewhat spiritual journey. You offered sanctuary in the solitude. The breath of stillness had the fragrance of reverent wonder.
