Contest Description

What to Submit?

1. ONE NEW haiku poem, nature inspired and spring themed. Please do not include human emotions or religious themes. Nature themed only about spring.

2. 5 7 5 syllable counts, in that order, no exceptions. At the end of the second line add a dash, three dots or ~.

3. All lower case, nothing is capitalized, including your title.

4. Please use howmanysyllables to check your syllable counts.

5. Poems written before 3/30/25 will not be considered for placement.

6. Do not add names to your poems, they will be N/A'd.

7. You may add pictures/illustrations, but remember I am not able to view them when judging.

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
