You have deviated from 'the run of the mill' type of haiku. Enjoyed the image and keep wondering at the artistry of the bird. All the best, dear Tom.

Ah its so amazing how nature works, and i think for those that experience four seasons every year, they see more of how Gods magic through changes in nature and surroundings! Birds must be excited and so will the rest that see again colors and blooming flowers and birdsongs filling the air! Pleasure reading your haiku! I missed this contest! Sending you light always

Tom, it is that time of year. I'm always amazed at how much content appears in so few syllables. You did this one so well I think I can see it, hear it, and feel it. Smiles, sir!!

Thank you very much Duke, it's finally arrived here, yesterday was glorious with plenty of warm sun, of course the day began with the sweet sound of the dawn chorus. Tom

Smashing write, Tom. We live in the country and our dawn chorus can be deafening. Put up some extra nest boxes this year. Made a sparrow ‘street’ (4 boxes in one unit) and within days, wouldn't you know it… at least two are occupied… by blue tits.

Thank you very much Terry, I never get tired of hearing them, I know that summer will soon be coming our way (hopefully lol), that's a great idea 4 boxes in one. You'll have to advertise the other two in your local paper. Lovely to see though. Not long back from the Forest of Dean, my travels have started again. Hope you are keeping well. Tom

We had a beautiful variety of birds this year because we decided to feed the birds. The one I watch and wait for and who melts my heart the most is the little Carolina Wren.Next are the Eastern Bluebirds, Blue Jays, Chickadeees, Titmouse, Thrushes, Juncos, Cardinals. A most entertaining menagerie. I love spring.

Still dark here, Tom. My serenaders have not yet begun to sing, but soon... Your Haiku is an honor to lady, Dawn.
