To the broken hearted - Bradley Smith's Blog

If I have learnt anything these past years it's this, there are no smiles in a bottle. I have felt my heart break, I've lost touch with reality and made myself an outcast. Disillusioned with the idea of love, and I have lived the life of a depressed functioning alcoholic. Now am I better? I don't think so... SO what do I have to say about the broken hearted? Grieve if you must, and while there is sure to be dark times, the sun will shine again. Cliche I know But there is truth in it. Time heals all wounds, again cliche but you will find love again. Something even better than before. Why, because you deserve it... Do I? Now i am not sure. Which is probably how you feel right now. But thier are lots of beautiful broken souls out there. You just have to find one that fits your broken pieces. But who am i to talk, all i can do is listen, and tell you what i heard a long time ago. Now they say what you love will end up killing you, which is true with loved ones as well. So how do we love again? You have to jump in to swim as they say. And while you may feel broken, someone is out there who is perfect for you. SO I guess. What do I hope to accomplish with this blog? Every week I want to shine a little light on those living with darkness. Because I know their is a lot of people out there with no hope. And I should know because I am one of them... I felt alone, like you probably do as well. But if it matters, I am in your corner and there will always be people who care for you. Trust me, they are out there. Sure, they may be hard to find, like the diamond they truly are. Those that didn't burst from the pressure, but somehow learnt to shine on those that need it the most. Yes. Your heart may hurt. Or you may have been hurt in the past. Listen to me ramble, like I have any idea of anything. I am a schizophrenic, to poor and crazy to make any girl happy. But every girl I have ever met, I fell in love in some sort of way. Now, this may be my own mental masturbation, who knows. So I'll leave you with this. In this life, you will get hurt. Kicked to your knees, with a face full of emotional dirt. But you are stronger than you most likely know. So shine on bright, you will find love again. Like bob Marley said. Every little thing is going to be alright

Andrea Dietrich Date: 3/2/2021 12:27:00 PM i know your struggle because my mother's first husband had your illness and it's VERY hard to live with. I'm so sorry it is your cross to bear. i can say nothing to help except that I hope you find some moral support in your community and with family members. My dad managed to marry several times and ended up with a woman who was extremely patient and loving. It might be possible for you too. We can only do our best in this life and be kind to all. I’ve struggled with alcohol. I lived in darkness and I’m a hopeless romantic. I have a close family that has a mental illness. Because I am an introvert by nature in normal circumstances already I have survived because I know how to entertain myself with projects and hobbies but not without some broken places in my heart also. I think it is also why when you fall in love with someone, you sense - you know, that it is much bigger than just the two of you.
