Invisible People
To the homeless
You are not invisible
I see you, and you matter.
I know some like to see you scatter.
But I see you
I've been you
I know it's actually a hard job
And that you do get scars
I know the feeling of needing loose change
Or even worse
The thought of a noose doesn't seen wrong or strange..
What a world we live in,
Where the vulnerable are forgotten.
Under bridges or in tents
In the shadow of society.
While the rest own homes or rent,
Content..
Seeing these invisible people suffer and rot
Is not something I was taught.
We ought to do something soon
Because now I know
It could happen to anyone..
