That's the Way It Is

Thoughts of growing old
To turn witherd and grey

Though it isn't now
It will happen some day

Does the idea of death scare you?
If so it does to me too.

I don't remember being born
So maybe I won't when life is torn

Makes you wonder what this life is
How many people will be there to mourn

Forget money and power.
Forget fortune and fame

Family and friends are what matter
Unfortunately though they have forced us to scatter

Divide and conquer seems to be the play
So what will you do today?

Make our way. Or pray for a better tomorrow?

When I die. I don't need sorrow
Don't grieve they say

The spirit has left me in a way
Expired now

Thats just the way it is

B.L., interesting thoughts well-expressed. "morn" should be "mourn." Be sure to watch spelling and punctuation because they bring a reaction from your readers. This is a fine piece of work.
