The Absolute Worst

Small things become
large in a life at times,
appointments made 
that hang like a sentence 
over one's head,
incarcerating you in fear
for a week or more.
A pain that won't go away
growing into a dozen
self diagnosed causes, 
some serious, some benign 
until you remember 
straining to lift
a heavy pot
yesterday or the day before.

You wanna know what one of the worst things in the world is... 
depression 
Yes depression is horrible it eats away at you and  makes you feel empty pointless and non existent.
Non existent you may think how does that make sense well let me explain it, it eats away at you that much it

I step out to face the night, 
shielded like a medieval knight; 
and count my victories boldly won, 
need not count far for that is one; 
drag my fingers roughly through my hair, 
and stumble on the bones of some lost hare;

more time to volunteer
more time for naps
I can sit around in sweats and tee shirt
(in summer shorts and tee shirt)

insomnia
not as much
