Early morning workout walk time

Time to have a workout walk

at the local shopping mall ... not.

Better, instead, a walk down a peaceful, country lane

w/ foraging song birds gleaming, the rabbits

frolicking in the grass ...

the springtime sun slowly rising ...

warm on the face ...

He measures mornings in miles,
each breath a promise to begin again.
The mirror doesn’t judge,
it waits—
silent witness to the burn
that makes him feel alive.

He counts not calories but control,
a kind of devotion the body demands,
each rep a small confession
to the god of effort.

Others pray for ease;
he prays for the ache to stay—
a steady reminder
that the heart, too,
is a muscle made holy by use.

There are a few people who motivate me
When I walk in the gym to workout I see
Balances of challenges a sea of humanity
Some with limbs that don’t move normally

The woman in wheel chair with a green smile
She’s moving and meeting her own goals now
The man using his walker has courage so loud
That inspires the lot of us even the small child

In the pool they are free to move
Silly me too embarrassed to try to
I can’t swim and once had lessons too
I’m watching them as I do what I do

You may not know who you indigo inspire
Just by being who you are you lift higher
Yourself and others despite dilemma's red fire
You are an earthly star press on towards desire

Workout

You want to live
You have to get
And work for it.

Workout Your Salvation

As you follow Him
Carry your cross daily and
Work your salvation.

Workout

Workout your figure
To carve out fats and pressures
For healthy posture.

A Sestet of Strength

Strength a labor of time,
A work which breaks bones,
An effort which I have made mine,

While I work once again,
This time I work with friends,
With this I can go through the pain.

Tae Bo

when i got home from school
my mother was watching
oprah again
with a shopping bag
of ice on her knee
when i asked her
what happened
she said

“i dont want to talk about it”

and later i found out
she was working out
to a tae bo dvd
when her knee
popped out of her socket
and nobody was home
and she doesnt drive
and she had no friends
so she had to pop it
back into her socket
herself and she said
it was the worst day
of her life

Flippers up
  Flippers down
Wave those flippers
  All around

Swish your tail
  From side to side
Create a wake
  A water slide

Take a plunge
  Dive down deep
Your body propelled
  As up you leap

Hey, Sea Lion
  Clap your hands
When you perform
  You grandstand*

*To grandstand means to 'ham it up'

I stare where he once stood
Shocked he is here no more
I wait to see him at the door
But hope has done no good

Where is the love he once swore was mine
This day each year he'd hold me through the eve
Thoughts of when we wed shared as we dine
Where's the man who once said he would not leave

Now with just the dim lit moon as friend
I sit and wait for him to turn the bend
To keep sane my loss of love I must pen
And pray we'll meet when I reach my end

Workout

I hear you speaking in my heart bits n pieces throughout my days,
When my experiences match to what's going on, I know your spirit is walking with me,
Reminding me your here with me, to place my trust in you,
That with each step I'm taking your glory will always shine through,
No sooner one leaves, the next appears, so quickly it blows my mind,
Sometimes walking in step with you feels like I'm jogging sometimes,
Because the last experience trickles on to the next, I don't want to confuse the two,
But you always remind me to follow your lead, and put all my trust in you,
It seems like a workout sometimes with some stretches in between,
A rest for a moment to gather my thoughts, and then onto a brand new dream,
The longer we're together I'm starting to see much more,
And I love the way you move, I love everything about it, Lord,
You pick my heart up everytime, and draw me closer to you,
I get so excited watching you at work, I love how you do what you do.
