waltzing to
the sweet songs your
soul sings
in the hush of
a civil twilight.
we tightly
clasp hands,
i n h a l i n g
the smooth
and gentle
melody
that guides our footsteps
through the shadows of time.
l o v e
keeps us surging forth.
You have to be hyper aware in waltz,
of the other person's feet.
To detect the slightest hint of movement.
To adjust your body,
before the wave shows teeth.
To dance around it,
lest it crash,
and you, underneath.
It crushes your chest,
and pulls you beneath.
It might put you to rest,
but leaves nothing to bequeath.
There I was on holiday in the late 70s
at Blackpool on North/West English coast
free as a bird, I was then in my mid-20s
loved theatre then, especially cinema the most
I found a midnight showing for one night
'The Last Waltz' featuring 'The Band' plus guests
it would mean a very late night to bed
but worth it all, put my stamina to the test
It was a fab performance of 'The Band'
especially Robby Robertson taking the lead
bringing back great memories of their songs
a night to remember, it certainly was indeed
Also great to hear Eric Clapton
and Emmylou Harris taking starring roles
two of my favourite stars are still yet
really makes me glad that I scored that goal
This was one of my cinema highs
no doubt about it, truly fully great
an experience to rave about even now
even if that night came morn so very late

Quote 4. "May, queen of blossoms, and fulfilling flowers, what pretty music shall we charm the hours?" - Lord Edward Thurlow
*******************
May brings a breath of brisk bloom,
soft sprigs sing their hymns to doom.
Her petals plait the spans in gold,
and the warm air cast a charming hold.
She graces the day with limpid light,
a whispered tune, and the swamps ignite.
With sky-foam drift and meadow's gleam,
she waltzes shakily into a dream.
May I have this dance
The dance of continued love
Romance from the first day of meeting and dating
Night stars of wonder
Fireworks of delight
Togetherness forever
Hearts touching one another
The caress of golden virtues
Holding hands of assurance
The look and capture within the eyes
Heaven’s blessings ever wise
Walking in the threshold of true love
The Wedding Day
Holy Matrimony
The vows
Distances that were far before, but now we are team
Together as one, You and I in the aftermath
Forever my love
My Queen and your Prince
Walking in our interlude hand in hand
Bliss in the kiss

Starlight spins on silver feet,
a pirouette of whispered beams.
Moon croons low, its rhythm sweet,
and time dissolves in liquid dreams.
A pirouette of whispered beams,
the night unfolds its velvet gown.
And time dissolves in liquid dreams—
the cosmos twirls, unbound.
The night unfolds its velvet gown.
Shadows dip in fleeting grace.
The cosmos twirls, unbound
Light and dark embrace in space.
Shadows dip in fleeting grace.
Moon croons low, its rhythm sweet.
Light and dark embrace in space.
Starlight spins on silver feet.
With charming words you behest
the imps of fairytale lore
to decorate my hope chest
with golden laughter galore.
You hold me close as we dance cheek to cheek,
the fae in the band give music a tweak,
we waltz until moonrise, salsa til dawn,
and wonder-struck at how fast time has gone.
Then in the distance storm clouds are coming,
you laugh and embrace the cold wind
blowing in and chumming~
evil is twinned…
hell!
“Inside, cozy, with the warmth of a crackling fireplace, wrapped in a wool blanket, looking out to a magic snow globe world.” Quote by poet
Winter in an elegant waltz rhythm
And a drawn breath of early chill hum,
Latent boughs by heaven's snowfall,
White downy bedding laid across numb.
Woods once rich with succulent leaves shawl,
Sweetly smudged, quiver, kissed away sprawl
By autumn's thief to come again
In early spring, again prevail all.
Sun's ray stretch across snowfall with a kiss
Of warmth hovers, veils above, not amiss.
Lost in a crunchy white dream, shadows turn
To gather into kaleidoscope bliss.
The soul of nature's shared sound poetic
Artistry sighs, a craving kinetic
Force for harmony, for a slumbering
Village in midnight and silent epic.
Verse 1
Epitaph for the Queen of the Night
A starlit siren, she shone so strongly bright,
The radiant, raving ruler of the night's riot
right.
Her dance a dream, her dress a diamond
delight,
Now silence seals the stage, the spotlight
still so slight.
The final fade, the curtain closes calmly,
clear,
Her music memory,missed moment, mist
most marvelous here.
Verse 2
Epitaph for the Dance Master
The king of the tounship (1) , a crazy champion came,
A body bent to beating drums, a legend's
lasting lame.
He spanned the shebeen stage, a shining
storm of movement mean,
Shebeen queens quaked and wept at the
dancing scene.
The beauties bleeding blushes, threw their
threads,
He leaped from tables,laid problems to
peaceful deads.
His rhythm's a ripple on the river.forever
flowing free.
The dance just disperses,but his beat
belongs to the ground and the sky.

Sat in his prison cell-a,
He said ''Freedom's my only fix,
And my wardens?They need politics''.

Tokelo
Sings with all his joy,
His beats are so very hot,
That the DJ wears a cooling-pot
gentle waltz of fall
falling leaves shadow the soul
memory’s faint call
DANCE OF THE ACORNS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
when the moon replaces the sun,
the acorns shed their caps,
tiny helmets left on the mossy ground.
they dream of roots and branches,
of reaching, ever-reaching,
toward the infinite.
they hurl themselves, unburdened,
into the inky expanse of the night sky,
joining the silent, shimmering waltz
of a million distant suns,
reflecting starlight in their polished skins.
pelting the sidewalk
streams of gentling rain
music who will stalk
dancing through the pain
floods roll as we rock
in wonderment she waltzed to womanhood -
I only wanted a love,
And to fall in love with you;
I’m closing the door,
Just one time more,
To leave you in the rear view.
I desired to be about you,
Not wanting to live without you;
You’re a woman, so pretty,
It’s no mystery;
I thought I had found you –
