I only wanted a love,
And to fall in love with you;
I’m closing the door,
Just one time more,
To leave you in the rear view.

I desired to be about you,
Not wanting to live without you;
You’re a woman, so pretty,
It’s no mystery;
I thought I had found you –

Starry Night Waltz

On the velvet mantle of night,
Twinkling, twinkling, dancing stars
Drag me toward their beat
And I no longer feel weighted by gravity.

My feet leave the floor,
My arms spread wide,
I'm flying with the stars,
Their light dictating my moves.

We waltz across the galaxies,
Spinning, whirling,
Liquid motion in the air.

The moon shines on,
Our guiding beam,
while shooting comets leap by,
Adding notes to our cadenza.

In this cosmic ballroom,
As with each nuance of every bend,
I am reminded of the beauty
of letting go and surrendering to the unknown

For in this moment,
in this cosmic dance,
I am weightless, timeless, infinite

And as we twirl and sway,
I know that I am a part
of something bigger than myself
and it fills me with wonder and awe

So I will keep on waltzing
with these twinkling stars above
till the sun rises
and brings me back to earth

Little Bluebird, tell me when
I can dance with you again
I kind of did that afternoon
Inside that Tennessee saloon

The country music playing loud
I stood behind you in the crowd
I slowly moved in sync with you
We didn't touch, I wanted to

You turned around and looked at me
A picture for my memory
For when I looked you in the face
I only saw you in that place

Desire built inside of me
No one knew, no one could see
The time there wished I could extend
I didn't want that song to end

Premium Member I’M GON WALK ANNIE WALTZ- dedicated verse for Shasta Simms

I’M GON WALK—ANNIE WALTZ--
I am gonna walk
I’m gonn tha walk
Grasp hold of ya
Annie walks
With the movement of the clouds
Her sweet mellow whispers
Showering tip-toes
She really moves to the fingering of the ivory keys
She really, really, really moves me
I am gonna talk
I’m gonn talk to her wit mine heart
Grab hold of her attention
And love her a lot
Annie walks
Annie talks
She walks in dignity flight
As a butterfly, fluent, fluent, fluent she’s alright

I am gonna walk
I’m gonn tha walk
Grab hold of ya
Annie walks
With the movement of the clouds
Her sweet mellow whispers
As I hold her hand,
We walk the land
We smile our hearts talk
I’m gon walk

Waltz of Four Left Feet

Can you imagine your life if you haven't met me?

It was a cold day in December when all of this started. You, being the silly you, asked me something out of the blue. It was a request that I couldn't refuse and unconsciously, the best "Yes" that I have ever given.

From then, we embarked on a beautiful journey to brave the waters of love and the dance of destiny. We are soulmates, I know that for sure because I've never felt my soul in sync with anyone else. Oh how I really wish to be one with you. You are the embodiment of all the poetry that I write. My muse, my inspiration, my heart's companion. Oh, to merge my soul with you is like how the skies merge with the shore at sunset. Delicate, beautiful and dark. I don't need anything else to live, I just need you, my everything.

In this waltz of four left feet, there's music and harmony. But sadly, the rhythm is messy. We live in a different tempo and this forbidden dance makes it hard to let go.

Premium Member Silence of the Sea

Waves
slouching
soft
against
the quayside.
My thoughts
stilled;
at peace.
Sky devoid
of seagulls; clouds
contrast with
moody
tones
of the
horizon
above
pav-
onine
sea.

Premium Member The Waltz of Time

a celestial dancer,
through the veil of existence,
paints the cosmos with hues unseen
illuminating constellations
auroras bow,
the moon dances to dawn’s blush,
twilight casting shadows upon the land
where miracles bloom.

Enchantress watch,
the universe bends to your will.

Sinners Waltz

In this vast void of existence, we stand,
Hearts bleeding out, met with the back of a hand.
Alone we stagger in life's endless night,
Chasing shadows, devoid of respite.

We drift, lifeless shells, in an aimless march,
Haunted by silence, under heaven's starched arch.
Bound by ancestral chains, heavy and severe,
I ache for release, for the end to draw near.

We're tethered to a world that cares not for our strain,
Our essence cast into the void, our struggles in vain.
Directionless, we flounder between high and nether,
In life's cruel jest, peace is a tethered feather.

His crown, a distant whisper of hope’s demise,
In its absence, our worth under leaden skies.
I'd embrace the void for a sliver of right,
Than bask in the hollow glow of the commonplace light.

For in the pursuit of that elusive spark,
I find solace in the embrace of the dark.
A sinner's waltz, a hollow, echoing song,
In the dance of despair, is where we belong.

Nocturnal melodies flow up through the oaks, birch and pines
Hues of joy pour over melancholy of a dark foreboding
Music lingers on the heart who knows this is evening’s genius

Premium Member The Waltz of a Poetess and Endless Conundrums

She, suffered in angst and a deep loneliness,
As her jasmined poertry, was new and just growing.
“What good are my poems regarding truthfulness
or honesty?”
Against seas of creative poems, puff-pretty, bright
And glowing?

The icy, winter, rains came and gave her not a
whisp of a warm answer.
Her soul and stomach did crave some reprise..
“No, no, rest, dear poetess,”….words whispered
came in the form of a mystical soul- prancer.

Then..what to do, she most freely wept!
“Stop looking for readers of my poems?”
Is there a wondrous secret being kept?
“Stop, stop”, the laughing, winter-prancer said.

“Each poem you wrote once sweetly slept in
the soft bed of your heart.”
“Let it be go now….and like a newborn eagle..
alight with freedom and depart.”

Dedicated to Joe Maverick in Australia, on the
loss of his cat, Tibbles.! Condolences.
Your kndness to me has always been
appreciated!

Waves moving following the beat of the sea.
 Anxious to conquer the shores
 to claim for calm.
Languid they touch our feet making us dancing~
Turning in and out, the waves
follow the rhythm of our feet.
Zest sea blown by our mind
 on the life's dance

Premium Member The cardiac dance, a waltz of hidden passions

The cardiac dance, a waltz of hidden passions,
has made our feeling a vibrant creature in a fraction of time,
O, celestial flyer, from the vault sprinkled with pure light,
You have settled like a meditation on my temple, gently swayed by a soft breath.
Our love has bloomed in the guise of a budding smile,
In the blaze that consumes us, and the breath that tangles in gusts,
Desire, that worn talisman of dream, perched in a bent soul,
With the breathing of a world that pulses in unison with the year coming to life.
We have concluded a dream, an immaterial pact, sealed with the gold of life,
You and I, in a second and a mute line, remaining at the horizon of our lips at dawn,
From the aftermath of the kiss that transfigured us, in a psalm of liberated love.
Our love has transformed into shooting stars over the serene abyss of eternity,
But where have these stars lain, and in what realms have they dissipated,
Which path did the time take that we tenderly weaved shoulder to shoulder,
While the heart sings, with sweet arrhythmias, a longing forever shared.
