The beak has broken, and I settle on the shore of painful thoughts,
while the sea sews salt around a shell of feathers—
a cradle carved from a time long vanished, a vapor dream of the past.
I touch it gently—the wings contract like secrets hidden in evening shadows—
fragile bruises, a poem of memories passed through rains of forgetting,
hidden beneath an old echo of lullabies that the wind whispers voicelessly.
But still, the shell splits and leaves behind only silence that drips into the depths,
beautiful things, shattering harder and harder now,
its beak caught in the shell's emptiness, wide and unmoved, a scream transformed into sculpture of silence.
And I—I remain stuck, dreaming with open eyes at skies of memories,
dragging myself through the sand of time, with knees scraped by edges of dreams,
still trying to fit into a space where I was never meant to be.
And the only question left—how many times can you bury a falling star,
that never asked to be held in the palm of an unknown desire?
The sightless amass daily at dawn; a pilgrimage
Arms outstretched clutching away; the sightless.
A winding trunk grazing away to appease the pangs of hunger; the calloused skin of a leg, a cauliflower shaped ear, a skinny tail swaying restlessly
We know not what this is they echo in chorus; mouths voicelessly ajar at the gigantism
Bellows emit endlessly; stomping, churning,
A woolly mammoth perhaps…..Ice age
Clouds of perplexity choking the cerebrum….. the sightless concur….it must be a powerful apparition, a deity
Could it be that mythical monster; Loch Ness it ain’t, NHS perhaps
A Druid dance up the hillside may help us nail the answer
Ah…..we see it now….the answer flying in the wind…
Not as you like it, but “ASDA”…a medieval bazaar!
You are the caressing silence, a silver star in the pure night,
The world's secret, a deep sea that carries me, full of magnificence.
The more you estrange yourself in your veil of mystery,
The more you become my dream, the pearl hidden in darkness.
You, cold moon, yet luminous, with rays that fall upon the crown,
Speaking in whispers, voicelessly, over the jadestone sea.
Sometimes I feel how you stealthily approach me with gentleness,
And you rise in my heart, a fragile morning star at dawn,
An unspeakable longing, with wings of wind, that flies through my dreams,
You, a trophy guarded by the night, a splendor that reveals itself late.
And again I confront my passion, my battle is a storm,
Like the waves that break against your secretive shore.
And in you, I cherish the coldness, the fierce beast that tears at me,
Which with a raw beauty, shines at me and wraps me up.
I'd like to break your silence in half, to have you only as mine, tranquil,
To lend you from my fire and to keep you in eternal light.
But you are free, you are the necklace of the skies, the long strand of stars,
And each distant step turns you into a dream and overwhelms me, surreal, with them.
You used to
lovingly coax my
keys with your
melodies
flirt and tease so playfully
high-note hitting glee
We enjoyed
taking tunes apart
upside down
inside out
syncopated Beethoven
bobbidy-boo beats
No small feat
with shimmy and shake
boogie, blues
jazz and all
the razzmatazz I could take
late nights wide awake
You kept me
in good company
playing wild
playing loud
fiercely proud of the sounds we
would make all our own
But something
eventually
changed and our
songs became
sad and few, in shades of blue
slowly fading out
Dreary now
mahogany dull
no longer
loved, cared for
forlorn, faded wallflower
voicelessly, I grieve

Another Shadorma form/ personification poem... What I *wish* my old piano thought of me. In truth, I think the 'old girl' is RELIEVED not to be bothered by me anymore!! (Music is sadly not one of my talents.)
Heavens right here
It's all right here in your heart
Spirit feeling, moving, breathing right
here in your chest
and it's all right here in you
Those things you find hard are easy
and it's all right here in you
Those things often masted that is called hard
and it's all right here in you
Those troubles you're used to are so pleasing
Now is, it's so irrelevant it becomes a part of you
Some people are giants
Some people are small
Everyone else voicelessly praises God

The men of clay, mouths dehisce wide
Voicelessly pass
Arms at their sides; feet stiffly tight
Perception dull
No meager light softens their skull
Inside my head their voices scream
Nightmarish dream
The words conveyed I try to hide
Menacing threats infuse my ears
Two bare knees
Oblivion, morass of grey
Lethe embraces. Here I will stay.

Oh Aphrodite! Mother of my two pearls
Venus of my night sky
Commander of my world
I fell for you like a comet
I burnt for you like Mars
Abide in my trajectory
While guided by stars
Your sonnet dedication metered
All is written in quatrain
I'm completed in your presence
In your absence I abstain
Diurnally blinded by fire in the sky
Cupped my hand to shade my eyes
And thirstily complain, about the lack of rain
Elongated animals on savanas and plains
Nocturnally beleagered but eternally yours
Seeking answers in ash , while staring at coals
no one hears my guitar so voicelessly strummed
Flames my desire , so forsaken my soul
A hundred thousand embers
Sparked a thousand million stars
Explosions in the ether
Flashing diamonds that we know
Unprepared for this journey
Undeterred my savage heart
Skies are ripped and torn by thunder
Clouds adrift and left asunder
Lonely cloud goes East and cries
The other West, and melted... dies
softly, whispering
featherfalls on silent stone
winter, gravity
lost in the fog, birds
grieving morning voicelessly
remembering love
dead diamonds, ditches
glittering cold promises
fossil furrow froze
darkness, deepening
the womb and the grave hiding
secrets and shadows
in the ground, waiting
the souls of springs children sing
muffled lullabies

WAIT, ALLOW ME TO GET THE DOOR WHORE
Yes, that couch is the only thing of yours in this room alone
And I’ll always remember the aroma of your favorite cologne
You may as well take the cat supplies if you get another cat
Oh, and don’t forget that cute frilly little purple hat
For you must take your leave as you grow bored of me
And I grew weary of the things you ignored of me
But I recall the fragmentary time on earth we shared together when you adored me
I put your favorite stuffed pony in your pocket book
And perhaps you want to take one last look
See the bed upon which we made love seem like love plus a garden that grows cotton candy
And the candlesticks given to us from Kenny and Mandy
And don’t forget to tip the newspaper boy
As you run away voicelessly and steal my joy
There were so many little quirky things I loved about you
As you’d stare deeply into my eyes of cerulean blue
So take what you want and almost all you can see
But remember Sugar, there may be something in the universe that can’t keep you from loving
me?

A misbelief
breaks into rags.
Still I dream of some gods
on black pages
piecing together the words
of light. The rains come
in the cage of tears,
voicelessly.
Striated muscles of splintered faith
go to cramps birthing
the avatar
without a mother.
I will pick up now
nothingness
from the bounty of silence,
of a stunning question.

Envy eats at my eager overtone.
Airing aspirations of me alone.
Resenting ruse, requiring need.
Festering famine, for you I feed.
Covet creation, I crave carelessly.
Desiring deeply, damn fearlessly.
Greedily grasping for others gain
Invidious intrusion, idly insane.
Spitefully starving, stalking prey.
Jealously jaunting, without delay.
Longing lust, loathing your term.
Craving prosperity, cash I affirm.
Rendition of riches, reasons resent.
In umbrage euthanizing my consent.
Tilling your toils, for me you taste –
Conceding to my monetary embrace.
Eagerly empowering an envied state.
Devouring dignity, a diligent debate.
Victoriously vigor, voicelessly vim.
Gluttony so gracious, greedily grim.
it hides its face, like the sun behind a cloud
it screams voicelessly, for me to turn around
I feel it close, but I will never touch
this elusive dream that I want too much
it resides in the shadows, hidden from the light
it's there for a second, gone from open eyes
it whispers my name, it says "I love you"
but when I listen, I know it isn't true
