Premium MemberImmortal Soul

Wouldn’t it be sad to live without
A little hope to understand
What our immortal soul’s about
To recognize and represent?
And who would say “Good morning, dear
How’s the forecast on BBC?
I sense the damp in atmosphere
Draw back the curtain, let me see”
And who would answer “Yes, you’re right
It’s drizzling, but the sky gets clearer
How was your blood glucose last night?
No shooting up and down, my dear?”
What actors could’ve played that action?
The voice of yours, your smiling face
Mean more than childlike mind abstraction
We used to cherish in our faith
And what it’s like, remains obscure
But I suppose, “there are more things”
If you could come to reassure
I’ll hear from afar your rings..

Premium MemberNothing

I know Nothing, and I know it well; and that ensures that my head doesn't swell. Nothing is nothing to gripe about, suppressing any desire to shout. Nothing is the stuff of sleepless nights; it's like a deer caught in the headlights. Nothing has no heft or feel to it: the legacy of a hypocrite. Nothing, sometimes, is all you have left; loss of innocence is a slow theft. Nothing isn't easily washed away, even by the tears wept every day. Nothing is frightening to confront, like an empty gesture or affront. Nothing can obscure your path to love; it forces your heart to rise above.

Premium Memberyour voice trails behind me

your voice trails behind me
lost in the shadows of the hallways
silence amidst the din of existence
colors hold no warmth
dawn only brings time moving
watching the children in the park
lost in the joy of playground entertainment
the future has a secure ambiance
a smile wanders across my face
it is a painting hanging in a gallery
your voice trails behind me
lost in the shadows of the hallways
there are no real mysteries to life
only answers in the cauldron
then you walk into the room
and the enchantment in life returns
as Van Morrison wrote
have I told you lately, i love you
conveys the deepest love we share
the breath of Creation

Premium MemberLove being the answer

They beckon beyond the blue
voices mellow with warmth
leaving us lighthearted
and longing to glide
through the starry heavens
celebrating our freedom
and our inherent right to
express ourselves in
the graceful and poetic
language of love

Premium Membersilly songs

I frequently make up silly songs
as I go about my day
- does that sound wrong?

Peter’s quite used to it.
Sometimes he sings along
when he sees fit.

It should be mentioned
that I have an awful voice
there have been singing interventions

I’m sorting my closet
one of the tasks on my
get ready for school docket

(*singing*)

“Look at me
I’m as helpless as a lobster up a tree
and if you
ignore the smell
i’m doing swell
feeling frisky
and so much in lovvvvve

Look my way
and as long as your not driving
it’s ok
in fact
it’s just as well
cause I bet you can tell
that I’m frisky
and so much in lovvvve”

Rewakening

To be constrained
how easily do we conform
to that safety net -
the bonds of social norms

we present our happy face
do not display discontent
wish to be seen
without resentful eyes

when desires are never met
we adopt the commonplace
mask of a busy life
immersed in second best

until one day
we burst the shell we made
dance to our own heartbeat
and leap at life again.

Premium MemberIf It's Possible

If it’s possible, angel baby
Take me to a green side of planet
Let me hear the ocean wailing
Telling beautiful lies, I’ll share it
Now it’s getting a bit too tough
Bit too anxious, bit too uncertain
I keep sending my words of love
Hope they barely flap that curtain
If it’s possible, let her know
That I play her messages daily
At late night, when it’s time to go
So our time is still saved from fading
But if it’s not possible, then
What would be next, don’t tell
There’s no point to repeat again
What I know myself bit too well.

Premium Member EPIPHANY

I have a great friend, she tells the truth and will never bend. We love going out, shopping and eating without a doubt. wow she now tells me, you are a much better friend, then they are to you.

Premium Member Before We Go

Let's stay for a little while
Just before we go
I am smiling to your smile
In the evening glow
I can’t get enough of our
Mutual entertainment
Just a quarter of an hour
Of the sweet derangement
Share with me, my darling
Just before we go
Beckoned by the sparkling
Through the clouds that grow
Just two drowsy people
Lost in loving fun
Two minds getting feeble
Are better than one
My faith is rewarded
With the face of thee
A message you recorded
Says good night to me..

Premium MemberDistance

Distant cars produce their sounds
Distant people pave their way
Distant skies are full of clouds
Distant wind blows off today
Everything sets up a distance
What seems real is out of touch
A precarious existence
Makes a point with drilling crunch
But thank God it’s distant noise
And while I was writing this
It was muted by the voice
Your sweet voice from Chiltern hills.

Premium Memberhow I feel about the TV Show The Voice

I watch the TV show The Voice and laugh off my pantaloons
The judges are hilarious, better than cartoons or old buffoons
People ask me all the time why I love this singing show so much
Because II am a part of the judging panel, feeling completely in-touch.

Premium MemberWhite Sail

A receiver and a sender
I’m a sitter by the screen
While you are a time extender
Lingering your garden green
I remember, I remember..
But the camera does it better
Still I act as family member
Like a giver and a getter
When I see you smile at me
Words you say the time unpack
Like the white sail in the sea
Comes your voice to take me back..

Premium MemberI Love my Great Aunt's Voice

My great aunt eats salmon every day
mentions her Mercedes on the hour
brags that she attends a mega church
my mother’s sister is the opposite of my mother
my mother was unassuming, modest
no kind of braggart or name-dropper
I love my great aunt’s voice so I overlook her braggadocio ways
She has voice inflections similar to my mother
Not her exact voice, but inflections I have missed for five years

Premium MemberPoem My Voice-JU

I write of grace I have known
memories lived I have sown
from my heart with pen I write
not for you but my delight

wistful poems tell of love
warm my heart in favor of
they describe the softest kiss
and ask my soul to feel bliss
