Distant Promontory

The glimmering streets that burned dreams
I can’t grasp its greedy shade
The creep, the rage, and the imbibing crowd
Where do they sleep?
Mist thirsting upon bare and decency
And I refuse to stride with the walls of shame

Where is the promontory beyond this city?
An ecstatic land blowing warm pleasure
Where beneath is a pile of beautiful sunstone
Refracting the translucence of abundance and ebullience
Somewhat hues of the golden hour

Besides its spangled appearance
The independence of my mind
Where water whirls the echt-hands I chase
And love itself shall crash sweetly
Beyond the salty encounters I mourned
And the hymn of the birds
Would bewitch my barely living soul

Look at Me Now

I always looked at people doing wrong
And said I could never do that
But look at me now

I saw people lying and said
I could never do that
But look at me now

I saw people hurting themselves on purpose
And said I could never do that
But look at me now

I saw people fighting to get
Every day, and said
I could never do that. I love my life
But look at me now

But now I look at myself every day and wish I couldn't.

WOMAN BE SAFE

Woman be safe, and put your health before your need for wealth.
Wealth is good, and money is a need, but health and safety are the first and most important thing you need to live.
Woman please be safe, and use all the care for yourself, love yourself and don’t be in a rush.
Take time in your life, to build your life, making every decision that will help you get to all your goals in life.
No need to rush, or make a hasty choice, love and care are the things you need most in life.
Woman, please stay safe, use your time wisely, don’t let anyone rush you into a choice, stay aware and take care of yourself.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

It was always you, never a choice,
last thing I hear, only your voice.

Walk In The Park

How are you with long walks
At night through the park
Where shadows pepper the imagination
And thoughts flow on
With nothing to hold them back?

I love to take those walks in the dark
Both alone and with my friend,
Deep through our mind
To visit lost images,
Memories that live in the shadows,
Remnants of the past.

Do we remain in the shadows
Where my friend with knowledge dwells,
Or do we bring to light those images,
Reviving older times now asleep,
Permitting them a chance to escape?

Premium MemberLISTEN to the Wind

"LISTEN to the Wind as it sparks your imagination giving life to the words you write." By Poet

LISTEN to the wind as it softy blows,
so soft it can barely be felt as I write.
As I find gentle words for my pen to write with,
words filled with love and peace for my reader.

LISTEN to the wind as it blows the leaves,
colorful fall leaves dance across the ground.
Now let my words dance in pretty fall colors,
dance across the written page for you to enjoy.

LISTEN to the wind as it blows in a storm,
winds are picking up with mighty power.
Powerful words can blow in both good and bad,
exciting my many readers saying, wow!

LISTEN to the wind as it blows in words,
windchimes will now start to sing to you and me.
Singing chimes and words can bring love to the air,
for a heavenly choir to sing out loud.

LISTEN to the wind as it sparks my writing,
and imagination giving life to my words,
making my readers celebrate what they have read.

The Double Bind

The sharpest words are often words unspoken –
Hurt bestowed by a double bind
—Bruised by silence.

Wanton desire to be a double entendre –
A quiet imprisoned reprieve
—An empathetic, bound choice.

My vote has been cast in restraint –
In the still of the love I carry
—Averting the cost of my voice.

Premium MemberSimplicity

Heartbeat of my soul
Oh, simplicity come unto me
Flow through me that I may be enlightened
That life’s complexities be rendered helpless

Be not dismayed and be not in awe of me
For what I say I heard from you
For our souls are one
The voice I hear within is you

And all that would enlighten me
Like love, that touches every increment of our souls
For truth unescapable, we will all stand
Entranced by her beauty and completeness

Complicit

Don't know how I missed it,
How I got so complicit,
How I overlooked those parts of you.

And now I'm in danger,
The man I love turned into a stranger,
And I'm starting see we've got more problems than a few.

Holy F%ck do I feel stupid.
How did I even do this?
How did I let this happen to me?

And I still feel like it's my fault,
I'm so bad at love you've gotta launch this assault,
But really it wouldn't matter what I do.

And I'm terrified to leave,
But there's less love than there is grief,
And I can tell I've got no future with you.

I don't know how I missed it,
Or how I got so complicit,
Why I stayed in your shadow,
Or why I thought you'd grow.

I know I need forgiveness;
I know I didn't do this.
I'm trying to fix it.
I don't want to be complicit.

Premium MemberYour Face, Voice, Touch

Let me see
something fine,
smiley eyes.

Let me hear
something nice,
words of love.

Let me feel
something good,
smooth caress.

besides your voice

besides your voice,
your face, your warm
palms, your heart
trembling when
whispers caress
my ear, flooding my
blood like a skilled
sculptor ready to
break the marble,
so that angels can
come out to take
my hand: - let’s go
my child, come,
let's fly to the
nest of stars,
in the air, crushing
your chest,
                       - let's go
this is just a dream

Glass Voice

I spoke in glass, so fine, so thin
each word a thread of fragile sound.
You touched me once, and cracked within
the walls I'd built to stand my ground.

You smiled like spring-like sudden thaw
and I, all frost, began to break.
You carved your name inside my flaw
and called it love for memory's sake.

You said my silence made you ache,
yet never asked what silence hides.
I bent until I heard the quake
the shatter pulsing from both sides.

Your hands were kind, or so I thought,
until they traced what made me weak.
You warmed the glass, then watched it rot
and left just as I dared to speak.

No storm. No scream. You simply stopped.
You vanished like a breath in cold.
My voice, now scattered, echoes dropped
no shape, no song, no tale retold.

Now others pass me, blind and fast,
they touch and smile, but I’m not there.
I live behind the ghost of glass
and haunt the hallways of thin air.

For if I speak, I fear the break
that every word may be my end.
So silence is the choice I make
to hold the shards where once I’d bend.

The Voice of the Rainbow

"The Voice of the Rainbow"

A voice like thunder, forged in flame,
He rose from shadows, carved his name.
From Elf to Rainbow’s crimson skies,
To Sabbath's dark and mournful cries.

A silver cross, a devil’s horn,
He sang of dragons, dreams, and scorn.
In lands where starlight kissed the blade,
His words were spells the gods obeyed.

Small in frame, but giant soul,
He bore the weight of metal's role.
A bard, a knight, a sacred flame,
The stage, his kingdom—song, his claim.

The "Man on the Silver Mountain" climbed,
With every note, our hearts he mined.
He sang of evil, love, and lore,
And left us craving evermore.

Gone too soon, but never still—
His echo roams the vale and hill.
For every outcast, dreamer, seer,
Dio’s voice is ever near.

So raise the horns, and let them fly—
A tribute to the starry sky.
The magic lives, it shall not die—
Ronnie rides the rainbow high.
