I saw my doting mom, approach
with a plate of vomit and fried cockroach,
saying, "Eat this with buzzard dong,
and you'll grow up to be big and strong.
Eat your spam parmesan, a la mode
and salamander nematode,
your casserole of braised rat butts,
sprinkled lightly with scrambled guts.
Tell me - would you be predisposed
if it were slightly decomposed?
How about some lukewarm carrion?"
That's why I'm a vegetarian.

I'm not going to eat that worm ~

I don’t know how
You can look but don’t see
I don’t understand
You listen but don’t hear
I can’t explain how
You feel but aren’t touched
How can you think, yet
You don’t understand?
How can you so easily turn away?
How can you so readily betray?
Their eyes of innoncence; oh what wonders await?
But quickly widen, fearful of the death and the pain
It hurts my soul every single day
My head, my heart, in every single way
I try to reason, and I try to forgive
But I bleed from my heart, you won’t let them live
Such short little lives, destined to die
Torn soon from their mothers, you don’t hear their cry
I hate you for doing this when there is no need!
We can live well without making them bleed
Oh I thought we had compassion, I thought we were wise
I thought we would easily see through such lies
I hope there comes a time when all the pain and the fears
Will fade and be gone and there’ll be no more tears

"Eat your veggies," as a nipper I was told
but I'd hide 'em on me lap so Mum wouldn't scold
then all the quicker feed 'em to the dish-licker
before they were even cold
now I'm older not sadder but wiser
and do enjoy a tasty appetiser
they may appear to look like a pear
here's a myth I wish to quash
tho' they're fruit chayotes taste like
zucchini cucumber or squash
against the fence homegrown I grow me own
and me garden's full of chokos
"Choko-bloc," one might even say
I'll do a prickly pear or two
but still don't eat veggies to this day
Eat everything that has the best
Vegetarian plants to yourself
Beautiful people are happy to see.
Everything is beautiful that I plant
I don't plant much, I can plant enough
To collect enough to take care of it.
Plant everything that is useful to you
Plant near to your house and backyard
Vegetables, spicy plants and herbs.
As your fruits of your labor comes yield
No need to go to the market to buy for cook
You'll have an errand plant besides your held.
Indigo moods within my chest
Not choosing foods like chicken breast
I’m gently beginning vegetarians quest
And I’m pretty hungry I must confess
I still eat butter I still eat cheese
So I’m not exactly following lead
Of strict vegans who’d turn up nose
Because I haven’t let dairy go
Now I do enjoy almond milk
The taste of cows milk makes me ill
Maybe it’s ok in bread or cake
But for cereal almond milk is the way
When I think of my daily meal
I avoid how slaughtered animals feel
Chalk it up to nature and green needs
Ignoring the facts of animal cruelty
My monk friend is a vegetarian who
Even prays for people and animals too
I don’t think I’m as strong as she
But bit by bit I’m changing how I eat
Vegetarian fox invited new friends to tea
His old ones had disappeared rather suddenly.
After they were drugged, he remembered he was a carnivore.
He ran to get barbeque sauce from the fox next door.
Here I am.
From top to toe
A meat-free human
Don't ya know
People asked me
Why the shoes?
I do not eat them.
I'd often muse..
But now I'm older
And life's moved on
With larger issues
To dwell upon
I'll soon be forty
Years a veg.
No highland castle
Or trust fund hedge
My account is clear.
My conscience too
But still with plenty
More to do
It thrills my soul
The human-race
Denies nutrition
With a face
A greater cause
Now lies before
The victims no longer
Just legs of four
The truth is out.
Our selfish ways
May just have numbered
All our days..
And who'd have thought
To cure our blindness
We must return
To love and kindness.

Vegetarian fox offered his services to me.
The other bunnies said no until they knew he was free.
He’s a cabbie, I said, and he takes all kinds about.
They watched him carefully for years with bunny minds full of doubt.
Vegetarian fox finally asked us for a dollar a night.
The bunnies refused, they are incredibly tight.
Since we get paid ten for each gig that we do,
I took it out of their salaries, and I paid the fox two.
There was a beef lover under duress
for mocking leeks and watercress
But meat he’s rejected
so he’s now been elected
to give the State Of The Onion Address

Greeness they swollen
Raw or cooked
In a non-meat and non-gluttony way
A truely remarkable act of
Protection of wild life and pets
Maybe a good proposal for
A future memorial day
Being Veggie
Here I am.
From top to toe

If a cat could talk
Would he bark
If a bird could meow
Should he fly?
Man am I hungry
If a mouse ate pizza
Would it be topped with anchovies
I dunno No I like my fish raw with milk
Yeah, still am hungry
If a dog had 2 tales (tails)
One for waging and one for lying
Would he be the devil's dog
And why is this squirrel steady laughing
Rabbits are cackling
Sparrows are dancing
Robin's has got nosebleeds
Man am I hungry
Moths offering a handkerchief
Robin says thank you please
Why is the squirrel steady laughing
Chickens hatching guess wit my raw fish, dish
I'm gonna have milk, rabbits and sparrow stew
Yeah, I am hungry
Yeah, all this and yet guess what
I just realize I'm a vegetarian

Not reacting you can stop the pain,
Not reacting you can change the fate
Not reacting, when the world needs your voice
Not reacting, when there is no choice...
Being passive, when the world needs your action
Living only for your own satisfaction
Your own personal cell is the whole world for you
Take a look outside someone may need you...
You can stop the wave of death by positive noise..
You can stop the killing by making a choice
You can save the animals and be the rebellion force
Standing against the evil empire of suffering and gore.
