Green Needs

Indigo moods within my chest Not choosing foods like chicken breast I’m gently beginning vegetarians quest And I’m pretty hungry I must confess I still eat butter I still eat cheese So I’m not exactly following lead Of strict vegans who’d turn up nose Because I haven’t let dairy go Now I do enjoy almond milk The taste of cows milk makes me ill Maybe it’s ok in bread or cake But for cereal almond milk is the way When I think of my daily meal I avoid how slaughtered animals feel Chalk it up to nature and green needs Ignoring the facts of animal cruelty My monk friend is a vegetarian who Even prays for people and animals too I don’t think I’m as strong as she But bit by bit I’m changing how I eat

I'm not a vegetarian, but I saw how bulls and pigs are killed so I never eat beef or pork. Mostly I prefer fish.

I see. I saw seconds of a slaughterhouse video and it was too much! I can’t watch more. Thanks for reading Victor!
