Unkempt Moments
Not sure how it happens
But love can get a bit disheveled
Unkempt moments, untidy interactions.
Perhaps it becomes like an old flannel shirt
Worn, wrinkled, frayed at the collar
Yet still so comfortable
We overlook its appearance.
Remember when her eyes….
Those faded blue orbs
Swallowed your every thought
Eased your very soul
Calmed your apprehension?
Go, stand again on the edge
Gaze into them anew
Whisper cross

Unkempt
Dark desires unkempt,
tease and taunt and tempt,
so what is the source,
of these cravings coarse?
Pausing flow of thought,
the Gordian knot
loosens to reveal
what we truly feel.
What we seek is bliss,
rapture of God's kiss
but see not the light;
pitiful’s our plight.
Stooped is our soul's stance,
so we take a chance,
choosing staid silence,
sans thought violence.
If we're resolute,
in time we reboot;
call

Mine Slovenly Unkempt Appearance Spelled Embarrassment
Mine slovenly unkempt appearance spelled embarrassment
spurred by most recent therapy session
with Renee Cardone
whereby thematic thread
stitched how yours truly sewed
coping modus operandi,
viz avoiding emotionally volatile situations
courtesy mine trademark signature reactions
rather than be in compliance with expectations.
Said nonconformist passive rebelliousness
especially affected our eldest daughter
me and the missus begot
even when she became potential human,

The Unkempt Soul
Deep in your soul's unkempt ground, fear has grown
Harvested by a heart of weaker means
As you stare in your field of the unknown
You will hear the sound from a soul that screams
To search for answers and quell its haunting
In a realm of choice, decisions are made
You'll choose fears growth when your soul is wanting
It grows

Mine Slovenly Unkempt Appearance Spells Embarrassment
No rhyme nor reason why
yours truly recalled how
me late mother
(earlier in her fitbit livingsocial years)
non verbally communicated disgust
(insync with audible sigh)
quite often ultimatums
blasting fulminating nauseating
scathing well nigh
she loosed loathing against
grungy looking son (guess who)
futilely escaped wrath of Harriet Khan
clamoring upon rooftop high
offering birds eye view
out of earshot and eyesight aye
catching sunbeams while smiling wry
cowardly lion

Unkempt
certainly he
was unkempt
but she hadn’t
found that out
until it was a
tad too late when
the dishes were
being washed
with cold water &
he hadn’t a care
in the world for
the so-called
“law,”
now one might
say that she saw
it coming but they
always put their
best foot forward
when they be
seeking the prize,
man & woman
are both guilty to
the core for
such an impulse &
sooner

The Unkempt Grave
Once loved but now to natures gentle care given
Forgotten gone old days of care a passion driven
Now just there moss and an empty pot
Walking past you realise it too will be your lot

Parading the Unkempt
Countless in our days
Of lives seize with easy.
Alas! Guns off fashion
For many of them
Fathoms its symptoms.
Enters the Polished clean hands
Reddish with stabbing ,
Answers they have not.
Dollars dump in bin
In search of them
With forensic eyes
And better long nose
To sniff out the doers.
With fanfare, we welcome the
Three wise men from white color above.
A vote lost in
