The Unkempt Grave

Once loved but now to natures gentle care given Forgotten gone old days of care a passion driven Now just there moss and an empty pot Walking past you realise it too will be your lot

Enjoyed your reflection, Nigel. Thanks for commenting on 'I Believe'. Glad you liked it. We are all free to believe or not to believe. Found it interesting and beautiful that you acknowledge that you still love......hmmmm.....love......that's what God Is. Ellen <3

Hi, Nigel...greetings from New York City. I am deeply moved by your poem which reveals much truth and wisdom. We don't realize that we were born to return to dust, but walking past an empty lot covered with moss the thought of death becomes our stark reality. I would like to thank you for interest in my poetry. I wish success in your future writing endeavors. God bless you for your kindness. Peace and Love, Andrew.

Another week has come and gone and I haven't been able to read as much this week as I had wanted. I am glad I was able to read your poetry today Nigel. Keep your pen scrolling don't let the ink dry up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend of sunshine and joy and find lots of inspiration along the way. Love, Carol
