Those beauties

I developed skills with the sky
The significance of beauty amazes me
Mesmerized by the suns rays beaming
The glow is on my face and I'm scheming
Tranquilized by the beauteous be
Of too the clouds above me in sight
They wander in the wind - I see shapes
Like inkblots, too I know the muse
In the heavenly skies I adore too the Greek
The music - the cleft hidden I peek
In the night air I see the beauty too of stars
Jupiter sometimes aligns too with Mars
I gaze a falling star is in my palm
I wish - I toss it like a bouquet
Then times pass by and dawn breaks again
Over and over again the brilliant rays
The melody tuned in my mind
Apollo God of poetry ,music and Art
I paint the pictures my mind sees
The skills? I cope it sometimes flatters me
It's a factor of hope , I meditated again
I love the skies ever dark of blue
Reflections at times in my head and when
I write - I'm tuned to rhythm too
So I've got the beat in my soul so true.

 Chasing Stars like Israelites,
Chasing Treasures like Ghost Ships wrought by Argonauts
Pulling Swords, I'm a Rolling Stone, Forging Legends like Camelot
Think Not! My Shield Wields Fire like Pendragon
like 7 Rishi Stars, I Journey the Havens like Sagan

So Electric like Mozart with the Pen Of Life
Unto The Sun, yes my heart still burns like Saffron
Sway Bright like Luther on the Front Foot,
 On The High Road

To Run With The Wind, To Become, on this Heroic Course
I Am Light Bright like a Wild Horse

Premium Member ME IN THREE

Music of my life is tuned in three moods -
Prelude had been started in my childhood.
Interlude of youth sang sweet symphony
Postlude of old age to break harmony.

Childhood passed without desired love and care.
Innocent child suffered lot : None to share.
       Adversity taught child, simple naive
to struggle always being strong and brave.

Vibrant dynamic youth bubbled in blood.
Zeal and enthusiasm rushed in flood.
Endured failure, accessed success by turn.
Yet not to repent, fulfilled ambition.

My last stage is almost to be complete.
Now found my achievements just obsolete.
        Life, once valuable, lost importance.
Adieu life ! Ready to cast last glance.

Background Music

It’s never silent in our home;
The music’s always on,
Most often from the radio,
Tuned in ‘til dusk, from dawn.

The desktop also pitches in
For jazz or swing or blues
And there’s another radio
That’s only set to news.

The street noise filters in as well,
But I can tune it out,
Unless it’s something extra loud,
Which happens, there’s no doubt.

Yet mostly I enjoy the sounds
Musicians strum or blow
Or pluck or tap or sing, through which
Good spirits seem to flow.

An enticing tale of Sapphire
Embryonic resin —
the dusk’s distilled desire
in marigold attire.
Etched in flame agate,
a mystic sphere—
twilight’s trembling lyre,
Its shimmer sings
to murmuring wings of swallows
as they dance
in dusk’s devout ballet.
October’s veil—
tuned in tangerine,
a hymn to night’s slow sway.

Where the Pacific meets the Coast

The beach climbs are harder
the rocks turn my feet
and I find myself walking on my ankles
wading through sand

But the photos at sunset
or as the moon rise
are such a surprise

Like paintings
like fine art
witnessing the beauty of nature
as it shows us all of the basis for inspiration
everywhere

The sea air is so refreshing
the tang of salt
its cool crisp feel
as it laps past me
and blows my hair

The sheen of the sun and the moon
off the water
and it undulates and ripples
It's mesmerizing and beautiful

I seek out the lighthouse
to capture its beauty on the horizon
Its glow too settles on the ocean
and lights the scene in a way
that makes it seem like a painting

A huge downed redwood tree on the beach
a sculpture in driftwood now
but so big as to be a playground

The natural wonders of this place continue to provoke me
and keep me wanting more
from the tiny bits of rock on the ground
to the magnificent scenes in the sky
my senses are always tuned in

And here I share them with you....

His fingers flew like hummingbirds
across his old guitar
as he played his wordless melody
in the shadows of the bar.

Suddenly the crowd was still
as every ear tuned in
to hear the song without the words
that sang itself to him.

But someone in the shadows listened
deep within her heart
and heard each silent word
his strings intended to impart.

Then, when the lights came up again
he hushed his old guitar,
and as her misty eyes met his,
he embraced her from afar.

Premium Member Dear Mother

Dear mother.

I think that I learned how 'To listen',
how 'Not to worry', and how
'Not to whine' from you, mother.

Mother, I never heard you say,
'Don't worry', but your attitude and actions,
and everything about you said it for you.

Mother, I don't remember a single lesson about
'Listening', but as a beautician, I saw your
ears and heart always tuned in as your clients
confided in you. You listened, and they trusted.

Mother, I never saw you 'Weeping and whining'
over spilled milk. You simply poured another
glass of milk. No, Mother. You did not waste
your emotions and time complaining about bitter
days gone by or bad days ahead. You always
believed in a better tomorrow. Thanks, mother.
I miss you.

Island of Agony

What feeling gives you a belt of happiness?
As if you had obtained the key to Paradise
But it settles in the heart of darkness,
And your soul is on the verge of silence
Memories of your heart getting hurt are resurrected,
How life is full of treachery and pain?
A harsh wakeup call can be toxically echoed
With the shiv decorated red is much absurdly covered in plain.

Your mind is tuned in to the shell shock
The demonic screams turns your heart cold,
And your hellish anger is bestowed from the trauma battlefield
As your whole world is turned into black
The higher you get, the lower you'll sink,
With your cowardly face, it pushes you into the brink.

The colors of the flowers are vibrantly swaying
The wind caresses them it seems with kisses,
whispering sweet nothings inside cheery cores
Daisy’s white pearly petals are speaking
Yellow sepals smiling, too yellow! Spiky discs
spinning peeking at me as I subtly study them
Dance little flower dance so alive,
I just want to hug and squeeze you
until you feel all this love as well

colors so vibrant
turned on, tuned in, so alive ~
 I feel so much love

aligned with spine
slow heat spreads
radially in our back

third eye twinkles
the navel whirs
jugular notch throbs

orifice in fontanel
expands to admit
grace as it in-pours

magnetised palms
poised to heal
hum with power

soles of feet
tuned in to the beat
ground us to Mother Earth

as both Holy Spirit
and organic form
we become the all

Who I Am

~ Self-reflection ~
This is how I feel about me…
I will always be Mom to my two sons
        and Nana to my grands.
How do people last without God to rely on?
  I start my day with praise for His grace and mercy;
He knows my needs before I ask.
God and my family are what I was made for.

             ~ Self-improvement ~
        I’m eighty-one; that’s not too old
to try new things, to use the skills I’ve learned.
I knit baby blankets / crochet dish cloths
to celebrate expected additions to family,
to welcome returning visitors to our church.
I walk with my phone tuned in to Bible study,
the making of desserts for discerning folks,
These help me realize - God is not through with me, yet.

Again and again, looking back to thee, once more,
Days and nights these foamy churns awakened, in parables, mind approached out there, rested on armrest
The verses and the divine bell, awakened on the festive zeal, with the foamy quest on a tempest
The raga-based vibes, orbiting around the tides, ecstatic zeal
From the deepest a sound diphthong, to eloquent most trochaic meandering trail, a hymn
Bhoirobi the three with the sixth, the festive fair of Ramkeli mela, Purvi, armrest, strumming along the whim
Along the foamy tempest through the golden jubilee, joyous, eloquence in ragas through vibes resides in a song, songs among
Floating through the trail of thine, intertwined mine, meandering we
Songs among these will begin a journey to nowhere, in bliss
Trochaic, greenery, forestry, serene, motherland, a yesterday belongs, in tap dance
Along the way the must and the bohemian wind and unbridled they
Tap and tap on and tuned in, around a finely attuned may.
