I tried to be good as a kid
But it never worked out for me
If there was any kind of trouble
Right in the middle is where I'd be
I tried to escape it but I never did
Trouble was like a shadow to me
Like a mosquito on a summer night
Trouble would never let me be
I tried to be like everyone else
And I didn't argue or even fight
But no matter how much I tried
I was always in troubles sight
I tried to talk myself out of it
That made the spankings worse
Even as an adult I cannot hide
I'm caught in troubles curse

You tried, tried
And you cried
You never gave up
You found hope
As a last resort
Because you fought
Until the last drop of blood
Until the last shade of mud.
You are my angel, my hero
You refused to fall and to go
You cried, cried
And tried, tried
To succeed against all odds
You were strong and you wore pads
You tried, tried
And you cried.
Heroes cry too
And Angels cry too
You are a model to me
I respect your bravery
You are my inspiration
And my endearing passion
You tried and cried
And I too tried and cried.

jesters are fun, hilarious, lovely, they make you laugh Shelly said.
This one is creepy, scary, goth-like, he makes me think of the dead.
Shelly laughed and said it was all in my mind, then there was a cough.
The spooky jester was behind us. Shelly turned, screamed and ran off.

I tried to cut my toenails, but I couldn't bend.
It gets harder and harder the nearer the end.
And there's just no hope for a remedy.
Your body's becomes the enemy ~
and death a yearned for friend.

Every work we have
Is measured in gold in heaven.
Everything we do here,
Is tried by fire to know what material we are made of
Is your material built by gold, hay or stubble.
Everything that is gold will be saved.
Everything that eaten by fire is justice from God discretion if save.
The soul is the business of God for salvation.
A wise always look at the end of life,
The fool is a lazy fortune seeker.
Train yourself to be industrious in everything that you do,
Here or hereafter in life.

Its my life so i decide,
That you'll be forever on my side
I know Im gonna be a happy bride
For our Love, is my joy & pride.
my happiness i cannot hide
I have a family who support & guide.
Until your loyalty had been tested and tried
what you have done i cannot described
How long did you hide
The anger you build inside
I thought you just want to divide
The things i was gladly provide
Turns out your just envy inside
All the bitterness in your heart collide
Just wish u just put the hate aside
Considered everything in good side
The people i love, You spied.
And Spread bad rumors so wide
Suddenly your not on my side
I am shock at your betrayal and pride
How can u be so mean to me and lied
You took everything from me, even my pride
The only thing i can do is sigh and cried
Dont you know you broke me till i almost died.?

Some women control their men
We tried to warn our cousin Flynn
He was quickly taken in
By a widow named Lucy Kin
Lucy Kin was slick you see
Has ways as wily as can be
He fell under her spells easily
She was as nasty as could be
Flynn never goes out with the boys
Lucy has taken all of his toys
He is very quiet, makes no noise
She is a deceiver with deceptive poise

my eyes tried to tell you
golden and round the setting sun peeks
over sloping mountaintops
while cobalt shadows inch into the rust-brown crevices
like a silent blanket smothering the light of day
the moon will be full
or so they say on the six o’clock weather report
there is no sign of rain until the clouds reappear
and the ring around the moon squeezes harder
you wanted to see the rising moon after sunset
and i laid both at your feet
while watching your wide-eyed innocence
as if the circus tent was filled with elephants
it was the only show in town
until i hugged you just before you cried
and we talked all through the rising of the moon
about old songs and dead poets
i searched for words to comfort you
but it was darker than the moon could illumine
and my words were thin as tin foil
though my eyes tried to tell you

I Tried to Unlearn
……. his name , his face, his memory
but each morning they kept resurfacing;
rubber ringed feelings that would not sink
no matter how hard I pushed down.
So I journeyed to places
that had rooted our relationship:
The park where the broad-shouldered oak
unwrapped delicacies of intimate memories
then leaning in much closer
it shared a consolatory shadow.
The river that coiled past
churned up affectionate thoughts
then rippled onwards to twist back
with a scornful smirk that made fun of me.
The café where he teased
about expressoing our shared ideas
and consolidating coffee compatibility.
Then on the butterfly wings of symmetry
our relationship seemed to fly to new heights
but was I another Icarus on a solo flight?
So the past that I had plucked at
offered no signs of warning, no signals of regret;
sadly the present, the here and now,
yields no guidance on how to….. forget.

I sat with pen, with page snow-white,
to sculpt a verse, to birth some light—
but all my thoughts just slipped away
like shy young clouds who won’t stay.
No poet’s muse knocked at my door,
no thunder-voice, no metaphor.
My words were socks without their pairs,
just stumbling down unwritten stairs.
My rhymes were cracked, my rhythm weak,
I tried to write, but couldn’t speak—
for every phrase that dared to bloom
got lost and left the quiet room.
I rummaged through my mind’s old shelf,
but found no magic—just myself.
No dazzling terms, no lofty art,
just beating pulse and stubborn heart.
So I wrote not with golden fire,
nor borrowed lines from grander lyres,
but stitched each verse from threadbare thought,
and hoped it showed the care I brought.
A lack of words is still a start—
the ink runs best from honest heart.
And though no muse stood near to guide,
I found my poem—tucked inside.

I tried to reason with the Lady of Shalott,
"Be content! Don’t be so distraught!
You may long for the world of Lancelot and Guinevere ~
but let me tell you what’s about to happen there ~
they're about to lose everything they've got."

I've tried and tried
Oh how I've tried
To reach out to You Lord
Unanswered prayer is all I get
I wish for so much more
Lord I know You hear me
And I know You really care
Do You have an answer for me
Or do my feelings just lay bare?
Lastly, I want to offer my love
To a God Who is so good
I will pray yes I should pray to Him
I will trust Him as I should

The earthlings when looked suspicious
To life elsewhere rather gracious,
On how men destroyed earth--
Men of so little worth,
And doubtless, the sure sign
Of their concern genuine
Be that none’s tried to contact us.

Sun-tried tulips
Dried daffodils
Cold cardinals
Skeletal swans
Pupa in pulsation
Birds in migration
Deer in separation
Winter vegetation
Each
And every such
Are tested
And tried
Towards
Resurrection
