Every work we have
Is measured in gold in heaven.
Everything we do here,
Is tried by fire to know what material we are made of
Is your material built by gold, hay or stubble.
Everything that is gold will be saved. 
Everything that eaten by fire is justice from God discretion if save.

We tried to warn our cousin Flynn

Lucy Kin was slick you see
Has ways as wily as can be
He fell under her spells easily
She was as nasty as could be

Flynn never goes out with the boys

I Tried to Unlearn

……. his name , his face, his memory
but each morning they kept resurfacing;
rubber ringed feelings that would not sink 
no matter how hard I pushed down.
So I journeyed to places 
that had rooted our relationship:

The park where the broad-shouldered oak
unwrapped delicacies of intimate memories
then leaning in much closer
it shared a consolatory shadow.

I sat with pen, with page snow-white, 
 to sculpt a verse, to birth some light— 
 but all my thoughts just slipped away 
 like shy young clouds who won’t stay. 

No poet’s muse knocked at my door, 
 no thunder-voice, no metaphor. 
 My words were socks without their pairs, 
 just stumbling

A Soldier once tried to end his life until God showed up and I'm here today

One dark morning at 2am I stood there alone. 
My life in pieces, many things had gone wrong. 
The pain was so deep, no light I could see. 
I could not believe, what was happening to me. 
No other person I thought has felt this pain. 
Mine was the worst, and that was my claim.

I tried to escape you long ago.
'Til fate set straight my own ego.

I tried to reason with the Lady of Shalott

I tried to reason with the Lady of Shalott,
"Be content! Don’t be so distraught!
You may long for the world of Lancelot and Guinevere ~
but let me tell you what’s about to happen there ~
they're about to lose everything they've got."

I've Tried Lord

I've tried and tried
Oh how I've tried
To reach out to You Lord
Unanswered prayer is all I get
I wish for so much more
Lord I know You hear me
And I know You really care
Do You have an answer for me
Or do my feelings just lay bare?
Lastly, I want to offer my love
To a God Who is so

Why no life tried to contact us

The earthlings when looked suspicious
To life elsewhere rather gracious,
On how men destroyed earth--
Men of so little worth,  
And doubtless, the sure sign
Of their concern genuine
Be that none’s tried to contact us.

There was man who tried to rule
Great Britain* like a

Wished He Had Tried Harder with Wife Number One

John did not try hard with his first wife
she was married, he was not
second wife cheated on him
served him right, he deserved that.

third wife was an accident.
They had gotten drunk in Vegas
Too many chapels there
and too many drinks

Fourth wife thought saying “I am his fourth” was funny
Her disposition was dour, she stopped being sunny.
