OF TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
We’ve encountered worse,
and have always overcome:
Likewise, with today’s:-
Of Trials And Tribulations
We’ve encountered worse,
And have always overcome:
We’re red-cap ready:-
Despite trials, and we’ve had many,
with tribulations, felt lost at sea,
we get up each day
with an effort to say,
for our freedoms we’ll fight, to be free.
Life is a roller coaster its up and then down
It has multiple curves yet throws you around
One minute you happy the next you confused
You have all the answers then don't know what to do
You live and you learn, what's next after that?
Either you continue to push or throw down your hat.
I've experienced life from all angles that come
As one day i have plenty and one day I had none
But do i complain? I ask what's the use
At times I wanna give up and just let it all loose
So much on my chest though I try to withstand
And manage these obstacles cause I'm only a man
I try to do right, do the best that I can
But get hit with these curve balls,I don't understand
I was told it would get better with each task that i face
But yet it all seems to explode in my face
Without trial and error i guess life is a bore
While seeing what lies behind the next door
Contemplating my next move calculating my steps
Without trials and tribulations then what else is left?
Our trials and tribulations are nothing compared to what Jesus went through
I
A happily married man is he
Who weds, not for love, but for policy.
His life will be clover
If his wife will sign over
Not the deed to her heart, but her property.
II
A woman who weds for the pleasure,
May live to repent at her leisure.
When she's no more excuses
For her husband's abuses,
A close bond with her lawyer she'll treasure.
I
When a spat leaves you blue-faced and chokin'
This advice may keep love's bond unbroken:
Don't go angry to bed,
Listen to what's being said
And not merely to what's being spoken.
II
A man marries then struggles the rest of his life
Trying to keep his home free from all worry and strife.
It won't enter his head
'til long after he's dead,
That he might should have wed a less extravagant wife.
III
A new wife was installed as the queen of her house,
And for a while quite content with no reason to grouse.
T'was a cruel trick of fate
When she found out, too late,
That her mate was a souse and a louse of a spouse.
IV
A husband, fed up with his wife's constant yammer,
Went ballistic and bashed out her brains with a hammer.
At his trial her removal
Won the jury's approval,
And his (suspended) sentence, six months in the slammer.
They're once in a lifetime
These moments of joy
The first time you rattle
That colourful new toy
Your first day at school
With the rest of the kids
Your hair all slicked down
Bad smells Mom got rid
The ultimate joy
Of your first tender kiss
The shock when she tells you
Her period she missed
A puff from a cigarette
Makes you dizzy and ill
The beer in the closet
I remember it still
The joy of first child
The smell of their skin
The softness of touch
Their sweet tiny grin
Your first big promotion
The raise that you get
The first time you notice
A grey hair NO NOT YET!
Middle age quickly follows
With a sickening thud
It's all over now
Your life is pure crud
The sixties are next
And retirement awaits
Where did it go
You're in a hell of a state
Then someone says wryly
You've had a good life
'Whatcha crabbing about?'
But it still cuts like a knife
These tender sweet moments
You experience through time
You'll remember them fondly
And treasure the climb
Hold on to them tightly
They won't come again
They're once in a lifetime
They're to treasure my friend
“let us make easy, the seeming complex
with love and silence, our default reflex”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If
we were
love enabled
from birth itself,
following conscience,
free from fear and desire,
what then would be our journey
thus aligned with love and joyous?
Would such a life be a boon or bane;
there being no fierce striving, all readymade?
Earth life is a hard school; the climb is steep.
Immersed in darkness, we rise by faith
in childlike trust and firm resolve.
Learning is firmly ingrained,
step by step over time.
Yet here too centred
we may ascend
in stillness,
here and
now.
Repeated immersion
Into earth life turbidity
Tests our identification
With transient duality
Adding to our woes
Is mind-body limitation
Choosing stillness slow
Restores bliss elation
The degree of difficulty
Rises moment to moment
Consciousness stability
Determines bliss quotient
Dream seeming like reality
If response be detachment
Bliss renewal in continuity
Flows in quiet contentment
I think the Lord is trying to kill me & only true depressed people can feel me, the energy in my spirit is getting to strong for my body it's like point blank from a AA-12 shotty
Some days I feel like evolving but I have Cobi & that would be a problem with no solving, some days I feel trapped in the trap with no strap no map just a wealth gap no cap , I'd rather go to jail for trying to provide for my child than for child support that would be wild
Trials And Tribulations
Love comes in many shapes....
As many shapes as hate.
For they are inseperable in
What we call on this earth, A Life.
Sadness follows close behind,
This giant feeling we call happiness.
They are, but a hair's width apart,
In most times of life.
When we cannot seperate them
With a will of own, then it is sad....
Feelings and emotions are
what we humans fashion our lives on.
We shape our spaces
With any feeling that we give power to,
Or deign to identify.
When pain, hate, sadness skips in
Close behind pleasure, love and happiness,
We do not want to entertain the former,
For we are ready to welcome the latter.
Yet, come to think of it,
The opposite give life to similar.
Then and therefore,
We are but powerless to banish
The one we do not want !
So we learn ......
To endure, to make do, to live with,
to forget, and to learn to try to change,
What we do not like.
Such are the tribulations of our life....
The changing times grant the saddest of goodbyes.
Saying such gives you a power along with a mighty burden.
The power is of choice, to choose your destiny in a way not yet defined.
While the curse, in all of its splendor, acts as a lead weight in your heart.
As well as a net for all the pain we can choose to feel.
A pain so hot, it burns away all of the love left in your heart.
Causing said recipient to try putting out the fire with sweet numbing liquid.
It works, though the solution is only temporary, needing constant reapplication.
Its during these times, we are tested.
A test of the metal of our character, refining you to be one perfectly broken being.
Now incapable of feeling the fire present in the our souls, the croak in the voice.
Of times long since past, numbed away from the slow burn of the sweet liquid.
Theres a demon in my soul ever clawing for control.
Yet with everything that i am i tell him no.
For through this war that binds us so.
I want nothing more than to grow.
So keep clawing demon scum
For in the end its I who have won
And though its hard to carry on.
And its so hard not to give in some.
I must continue on till the final dual is done.
Before the light breaks this morning dawn.
Admit your defeat, battered and begone
And with a smiling face i meet.
A darkness i never seek.
But to my friends i must hide.
A demon on the other side.
With blood and bone.
Bile and stone
A horror i must face alone.
And in the dread and sorry state
My body acts upon my fate
With bruise and break and pain to feel
It is the cost for this dark deal
i see no light in this darkened pit
With demons, devils, spawn be lit.
With in this hell my torture sit.
With razor, blade, knife and bit.
And threw this monster that i see.
Shines a light inside of me.
A power all and above my own.
With radiant wings, to the sky I've flown.
Oh woman, Oh warrior Of where does your strength come Years of life and living Experiences are where it's from Within my wings the wisdom does live My ancestors, spirit guides, family My wings lift me, never failing to give Providing for me the power to rise above Trials and tribulations I fear not on my path through life For within the wings that carry me is Love~~~~
