Premium Member Thoughts on Immortality

Three wishes? Oh, let's see -
how about immortality?
Hmm, that sounds good. However,
I think it would take forever.

Premium Member Quiet Weather

rain

silence
between pages
the quiet weather
the mind hears its own thoughts falling

Barren

Barren are my thoughts
A wasteland of arid dreams
Blown away by time

Out Of This World

Altho' his feelings
he chose to suppress,
human and Vulcan,
yet, so as to process,
when overwhelmed,
in need of time apart,
and not upset
the apple cart,
to get things off his chest,
emotions, thoughts
and personal challenges,
of all kinds and several sorts,
on board the starship Enterprise,
the First Officer they'd have to replace,
when Spock told Captain Kirk,
'I need my space!'

Random Thoughts

I hate growing up
I hate decisions
They're scarier than the monsters
I used to fear when young
they grow with you; they increase
they haunt you
and worse, there is a right or wrong
consequences, mistakes that could ruin your whole future
guess growing up isn't about a driver's license
it's responsibility, like it's something you have learned
it's caring about others even if it means being in silence
it looks so easy on TV, like it's just another step on the stairs
maybe I watched the wrong movies,
it's more like jumping off a plane and hoping you would survive,
in the sea with the salty water till whenever
So would I go back if I could?
YES, without a doubt, a thought
maybe it was better making faces with clay
maybe it was easier spending the day on a swing, and getting a slight headache
and even then someone was there to nurse you
Yes, life is not easy, and it has never been fair

Penny For Your Thoughts

Spare a thought for tiny penny,
how sad those folks that haven't any.

It's the smallest coin of the realm
and made of copper, like a charm.

Those who don't even have a stitch
they could become immensely rich

if only others to them brought
a shiny penny for each thought.

~ It would have been better had man never been created
Now that he is here, let him examine his deeds. ~
                                               Talmud Arachin 15a

Is man a sparkling diamond, the crown of Creation
         worthy of the angels’ anticipation

In his first hours of existence, Adam disobeyed God's one rule
Our legacy today -- an abundance of fools

The snake tests every succeeding generation
master at disguising evil as dazzling innovation...

When we look in the mirror, what do we see
One who serves friends and family ~ or ‘selfish me’

Premium Member Thoughts to Poems

A thought comes into my mind
lingers there builds in time
So I begin to jot it down
just a thought not so profound
Where will it lead
could it become poetry
Stop thinking it let the mind flow
release thoughts into words sow
rhyming comes naturally to me
but a rhyme it does not have to be
Read it, read it out loud
is it any good somehow
They are thoughts from my head
are they a poem to be read
not necessarily true of me
not a lie meant to be
thoughts to poems, poems from thoughts
should I not or maybe I ought
Do it how it gets done
writing poems with a little fun.

Thoughts of Life,Greeting Death

Day fades into darkness, I cannot sleep.
Like a labourer working the nightshift,
I am stuck in bed, everything still,
wondering what the next day will bring for me.

My last few hours are meant for peace,
yet my mind is loud with thoughts of,
What will they think of me?:

Will they say I am strong
because I won a fight in grade three?

Will they say I am smart
because I built a house at twenty-three?

Maybe they will say I'm weak
because I cried when she left me.

Maybe they will say I'm useless
because in the world,I never changed a thing.

They will say many things when death and I meet,
But on my deathbed,
All I want is to dream
As the life I had was enough for me

In the Clouds

Whenever I sat down
in front of the store,
my mind would go
elsewhere. Huge
clouds surrounding
and lifting me up
where the airplanes
and birds meet.
Over my shoulder,
I hear my mom calling
out to me, "Hija"
translated to English
"My daughter"
then I saw more
voices within the same
clouds that took
me far away from
my corner. Past
teachers yelling
to pay attention.
Former friends fading
into mist after graduation.
All the clients flashing
like car lights mixed
with blue and white.
My head as a potted
plant, too big to sprout,
as the roots tangle
deep in my thoughts.
My surroundings trans-
lucent and opaque,
frivolous to its desires.
The more my vision
became impaired,
I began to see clearly.
No distractions,
No contemplations,
No over analyzations,
just the wind's
gaze blowing
in my direction
...

Burning thoughts of confession

A mind that flows like a journal .
Ideas that stretch as long as river canals.
The ambience is burdened and sinks once in a while.
The focus ,  undisturbed like the Blue lotus of the Nile.

At that moment with everything on its climax,
The surreptitious heart doesn't allow the body to relax.
With simple words to be said ,the throat is choked,
The sensitivity of the heart was poked.

Stuck on the same predicament with no solutions,
This problem exfoliates with the burning passions.
All passing shadows are the regular audience.
The night weighs the duration with an alarming presence.

Sleep feels like a futile exercise with a heavy chest,
All it takes is one word after the other to finally rest.
Are you scared that your words would be what they detest?
Fool, I think telling them is for the best,
Even if your role in their life is of a guest's.

Premium Member random thoughts on the meaning of bliss

a reality check
vibrancy
dig deeper
for peace
abundant
sweet
checkmate
amongst the cosmos
a higher bliss
you and me
this
moonlight
a subtle hum
and warm breezes
old music
and even older poems
poetry
his art
my freedom
our salvaged dreams
forming memories
they are all lost at sea
this is bliss (well.. at least.. to me..)
interconnectedness

Forever waiting

I have so much love to give
But ho one to give it to

It can't just be anyone
Because only one person is special
Some people don't deserve my love

I want to care for someone
Give them my ideas and thoughts
Someone to share a laugh with
Someone to share my life with

I thought I found that special person
But now I'm rethinking it
She's not liking me the way I'm liking her
But I don't think I can ever stop

It's killing me
Every day I some hoe steer my thoughts in her direction
Then I realize
It won't happen

It never will
