Only those who chose to leave their Forts will get to meet other Good Sorts

Putting all our effort,
Into building ourselves a fort,
Will few problems sort,
If unlocking the gate does not seem worth the effort,
When others won't come out of their fort,
Afraid to trust anyone to guard their port,
When they leave their fort
To drink our port,
And toast another good sort.

Those Time-Distant Parishes

Neon and noise.
Night-world horrors.
Whose reflections, whose echoes
Showed not, nor shook
Its panes and doors.

Conscience-singeing.
Waywardly flapped.
Strange appeal! Once sought but through
A moonlight kiss.
A round dance. Clapped.

Citizen Rain and Those Khichuri Days

From an earthen pitcher, a few intimate letters
fly away as birds, written in the language of water.
Flowing across the breast of the R?-manobi in the bridal chamber,
the leaves from the story of the wild rose in the eyes of the forest doe
cause no loss of life.
A blue whale rises
from the Pacific Ocean and plays football
with a village boy. Then no one remembers
the cup of the melancholy emperor. On the restless heads
of cows and buffaloes, I too keep sprinkling holy water
and continue searching for
the botanical life of unmarried kholamkuchis.
Citizen rain and those khichuri days
had increased the fertility
of my disappearance

Premium Member Those Marble Eyes

Somehow among the hidden leaves of time when quietude swerves on a road
leading me to reach for waning hours
there is a hush of evening's breath
                     panting inside those marble eyes ;

that I learned to live unkissed...until
gazing long enough into darkness
             your iced look might blink,
to open windows that are locked
by hinges of our angst enmeshed :

The distant screams paint your irises
jutting out from a frame of hard lids
    buried deeply on frigid weeds--
while I...I filled the night's chalice
     with knots of desire...
as the night finally loses its elegance ,

and how your misted tears invade
the gloam behind the braille of lamp
in your eyes-- then I learn to understand
how confidential this stained time is
  when you fade away,

knowing not I am there. just there.

Those Things

Tangled tree bark on the ground,
hear the bush sounds all around.

Birds and leaves are here with me
and other things that I can’t see.

Even trying very hard, there are those things
from which I’m barred.

With those things I cannot see,
the bush has given peace to me.

Premium Member those autumnal feels

It felt like Autumn
on this morning’s run
I want it to be fall
with its syllabus of vibes

I’m signaling a stance
I’m autumn’s undoubted champion
wearing my choice like gangland colours
- I could give my all to fall -
summer only ever had my subdivided attention

Summer’s just too needy: it demands relaxation,
bare legs, sun block, beach plans, hydration,
barbecue, and relentless fun, with scant variations

I want the visual promise of leaves falling
the flattering autumnal colour palette
my whole devotion crowns shortening days

fall always serves as a competent stylist
complete with venti pumpkin lattes
and mornings with a costume of frost

Unbind the theatrical heats of midsummer nights
and let the season's advance revive us
show us falls slanting golden afternoon light
let crisper darknesses harbour counterfeit witches
and lengthening dusks warrant winter wishes

Let fall assume her russet throne
and give us autumn’s cool agenda
without the influenza
.

Enthralled By Those Eyes

Please note, it is for Let's Do It ! Poetry Contest of Nette Onclaud, Aug. 11, 2026.

I expected to see you
In the mild nice field of rice
Yet, I saw that neat cute cat
gave me a nice wink!

The attraction principle for seeing those you know in the past

If it is right now
In last is bread and butter
   Before first was bread

Premium Member Enthralled by those Eyes

Your sapphire sighs stirred my heart,
and I burn amidst love's waves,
swept by delirious blues,
willingly enthralled...

                                   A moment of intense gaze
                                   so strong that time disappears
The fire that ignites my soul
                                   stay with me tonight

Premium Member Enthralled By Those Eyes

Your eyes meet mine as we wed~
time has gone by as time does,
here I am old and bent still
enthralled by those eyes.

To those who see me

I write this to those who see me
For through my mask, you see me cry

Through this mask I wear from spite
That lays unfit upon my skin
That leaches off my fears to candy your eyes
You see tears I've shed

I only wish others could truly see
Even I cry

To those who see me
I wish I could see you cry
And help you find your bare self
Just as you helped find mine

Enthralled by Those Eyes

emerald eyes lure me in
two inscrutable verses
thrilled at their diaspore depth
I wade in your love

your eyes with dense black lashes
casting colors of sapphire
wet with ensnaring passion
hook me beyond flight.

ENTHRALLED BY THOSE EYES

As you walked into the room,
I was enthralled by those eyes.
Bewitched, bewildered, entranced.
Instantly in love.
