Fluffy tailed rodents chasing rings around trees
Cool air, bringing a realism with harsh new breeze
Leaves redressed in yellows, oranges, golds and reds.
Nothing but brown ugly things in my flower beds.
Autumn is here, tooting her coronet about winter.
The wood on the porch is rotten, the edge has splintered.
Jackets and sweaters are searched for, I discover my old blue.
Mittens are almost never a match, you find one, but not two.
Fall is a reminder that the world is tensing up for snow.
Frost and sleet, ice on the roads, hope you do not have far to go.
I scrunch down in my chair surrounded by fluffy fleece.
Eating warm foods like potatoes with gravy made with grease.

A bird on a wire
Taking in the world
Looking around about to fly
Into the beauty of the sky
Ruffling of feathers
Body tensing for take-off
Jumping from the limb
Flapping of the wings
As it soars majestically into the air
Stretching it wings to full length
Sweeping down into the Valley
Hunting for its prey
Screeching through the air
Stretching its claws out
Grab what is his
An afternoon delight

I got tensed the other day
Asked myself will there be heat in the may,
Some stupid question over the bay,
Tonight I learned that I may not be the one but always bright as day.
Tensing is not bad in the breaks,
It lets you flow like the water of the lake,
Make you more of you and less of fake,
Flowers in my hand and life on stake.
I asked them to get me a cup of tea,
So that I can beautifully tense near the sea,
Short, sweet and soft but it got me hurt by knee,
Maybe a sign to stop having the beautiful tension baby.

Absent of pride, gave their lives, those they owed,
bloodlines warrant one soul's intended quest
persuades a past, that they constantly sowed
pastoral guides sculptors essence is blessed
Readiness spurs insights, smoothing passion

their unbidden stare on death's face, cash in

Suffocating
By my own hands.
Falling apart,
I’m my own demise.
When last did I breathe?
Why can’t I now?
Falling off
The edge of the cliff,
Failure to grasp
Onto something;
anything.
Beneath the water
I plunge,
Sinking down.
Should have learned
How to swim
When I had the chance.
Lungs filling up
With water,
Air stolen from me
By the thieves
Of the sea.
Shackles weigh me down,
To the bottom
Of the ocean.
Not a breath
Of air
To be found.
Body trembling
In the ties
Around me,
Muscles spasm,
Tensing
With fear.
The need to
Get free,
To find an escape.
But I’m drowning
And shackled
With no one
To save me.

Anger sets in, deep in the mind.
Amygdala fires up, logic becomes blind.
Tightness of chest, muscles tensing, preparing for fight or flight.
Anger sets in, deep in the mind.
Thoughts crash and topple trying to find.
Scrambling to make sense, to rationalise!
Eyes widen, jaw stiffens as adrenaline flies!
Anger sets in, deep in the mind.
Darkness is craved from the logical side.
Trying to find somewhere to hide.
Quiet needed now to temper the mind.
Alone with yourself but of a different kind.
Anger sets in, deep in the mind.
Rage containment, holding back the tide.
Sitting still, of warring will to contain the anger inside.
Draining strength to cool the blazing fire.
When anger sets in, deep in the mind.

This time of year
the lake is an island of cool
in a cauldron of heat.
A few months ago,
the surrounding grass
was fed by flood
and stood tall and green
in a bog.
Now it is bleached, bent over
and crackles underfoot.
By January, the landscape
shrivels up and tightens
into a parched,
knotted ball
tensing for the burn.
Baked and blackened,
its ancient soul readies
to resurrect again,
breaking out
of its charcoal sarcophagus
with a green shoot as if
it was giving a raised finger
to fire.

Tensing, and about to move,
Clouds hover twisting with hoof,
Lingo parapentes this flush body:
Hurling shavings’ stop the prove.
A whale, psycho or streetlight:
Moss convenes the hefty truss,
Armoured spears fling to the bat,
Frozen in time to lure the buzz.
Naked! Bereft of pen and paper -
Paparazzi’s might slithers in dipole:
Collision kills this vapour, tribe, vibe;
The soul fraps, flapping a gold taper.
Whence is thy labour parapet -
Where are your stations and grain?
Why are solid requests paraphernalia?
When adjustments are fisture gain.
How you loath me - the self, soul:
Incanting verse and troth to fight;
Whilst proxy, spread, call, sound,
Legitimise oozing, sore canons - tight.
Butterflies come from caterpillars,
The human comes from trait, said dead,
Poesy loves grammatical technology,
And diversity clothes in personal thread.
O self, worldwide! How do you drift?
The miniature scoops cleaving the spirit:
Fine detail creates the abstract flint beside,
And structure charts float the pixel’s sift.

is that a tremor
calm down, take it easy
sure it is, distinct this time
fingers trembling slightly
get a grip now
no, I can't
I can't grip my pen
my fingers are shaking now
O, the vagaries of age
one goes from light to dark
in the tensing of the neck
and the knot of the stomach

Fractious feline
sensuously stretching,
languorously lying,
soporifically slumbering
(monocularly monitoring).
Meandering mouse!
Tail twitching...
tautly tensing...
Predatory pounce!
Salubriously surfeit!

When i feel you
under my body my pupils dilate
my arteries conscrit...
You make me rise temperature.
my heart skips a beat and races...
My blood pressure skyrocket.
You take my breath,
my respiration becomes
shallow and rapid.
You impulsate my brain,
put fire and burns me in
electrical vibes....
Secretions spit out
and i have no control
of my glands...
You cause me spasms
pressing my muscles,
tensing my body that
i feel i could lift tremendous
weights...
I feel violent, ugly, messy...
But as a miracle all in
love way...
I am grateful for all
incredible feeling i
carry inside when with you... !

Taffy and I walk together
finding golf balls in the heather.
A true friend as we slog around
a best partner so I have found.
Wanting my dog to have a proper name
in line with respect for this noble game.
Named for rotund William Howard Taft
a golfing president that sounded apt.
Though a pedigree mongrel hound
we share moments that are profound.
Off we go to our little town course
Taffy watches as balls hit the gorse.
Traversed the front in level par
felt a tinge of confidence thus far.
Breezing the back with a birdie or two
misses catching up, maybe coming due.
Tensing Taffy sniffs birds of prey
looming ravens, an omen they say.
The last before me, the count at three
can I shoot my age, will it ever be?
Taffy and I stood staring at the hole
needing an up 'n down to make my goal.
Set up for the chip with breath quicken
Jumpy, trembling as I struck it thin.
A shadowy being leapt from the right
Taffy had snatched my shot mid flight!
Then he dropped it right next to the cup
I stepped in quick and cleaned it up.
From now on, no matter how I play
Taffy and I will have this one day!

Suddenly I Awake
Suddenly I awake
Nightmare, dreamscape
Pulse racing, heart quaking
Brow sweating, hands shaking
Body quivering, muscles tensing
Mind racing, senses awakening
Eyes opening, reality seeming
Subconscious, what meaning
Body erect, mind spinning
Awareness, just beginning
Questioning, reasoning
Acceptance, forgiving
Quieting, stilling
Darkness, fulfilling
Calming, breathing
Heartbeat, repeating
Suddenly I am awake
Suddenly I am aware

Daily rushing,
Anger on freeway,
How can we slow this down?
Daily rushing.
Clenching my gum teeth,
Level 10 Hostile
Daily rushing
Lower back tensing
Is work worth it?
