Solemn Seduction – for contest
soft winds are swallowed
by my wings
stolen
as the breath of lovers
waiting
unblinking eyes seducing
darkness
prying truth from camouflage
rotations of twist top head
listening for the silent
in silence
clinging to a white birch perch
moonlight’s searchlight
shifting shadows
nuances
of prey
soft wings and sleepy eyes
floating focus
beneath the star strewn sky
talons tensing in descent
striking
without pick-up line
the owl’s loft
for dinner

Fear,
To some,
A chance to
Show character,
While to others, a
Huge adrenaline rush;
Heart pounding, muscles tensing,
To confront the danger head-on.
Opportunity or enemy?
Not truly known ‘til we face that moment.

Mom kissed me on the forehead and tucked under my covers.
There is a chill all over me as I look over at the dark closet.
I am afraid…
Swallowing hard, I felt my heart beginning to race.
Alarm bells are going off inside, someone is watching.
I can feel it…
There are eyes looking back at me, I can see them.
I remember the light switch is at the foot of the bed.
I am pondering…
I look briefly at the light switch and then back at the eyes watching me.
Can I turn on that light switch before something jumps out and gets me?
I must prevail…
My muscles are tensing up as I get ready for flight.
I leap at the light switch while reaching for the doorknob.
I am safe…
In the living room, I told mom I slipped turning on the light switch.
After using the bathroom, I walked over and closed that closet door.
Lights off…

Awakened by consuming desire-electrifying fusion,
gently hugged, intensely jubilant!
Knowing lips moisten, now our passion quickens -
rising…surging…tensing…undone!
Volcanic waves x-ray your zenith…

Ah Gabriel!
How hard a task was laid on you,
how hard the trust,
how hard
to travel through
the empty miles of space
unto a cloistered girl
who knew no man,
to startle her
and race her heart
past fear,
and then announce
strange words --
that she would bear a son of destiny
who would be named
as Yahweh's chosen one.
Was all the gospeling
the holy one commanded you to speak
some comfort to her then?
Or did her face grow white
as stone?
And did her knees collapse
with all the gloried weight of you?
Were you to her
a hollow wind,
within the tensing air
a shadow blurred,
a light askance
just there
beyond the corner of her eye,
an echo of a voice beyond the upland hills?
Or did she know you then for what you are,
God's able bodied one,
God's might,
and look you eye in eye,
and calmly kneel
in smiling awe,
amazed at all the golden splendor
in your wings and wake,
with gentle handmaid's reverence
and, grace inflamed,
said yes,
hands crossed
along her heart,
her belly swelling quick with majesty,
reducing you to tears?

With bent torso, fenced horse Corso,
Tows corpulent gent Morse into a Kent forest.
This portly source torments tense Corso to such a contentious extent
That he sends them off course with vehement force to show his discontent.
“Whoa”, vents the incensed Morse
With voice tense and hoarse from onerous discourse.
“Endorse a gentle course,
And dissent from one so dense and coarse.”
With sore torso resentment, Corso forewent his horse-sense and sent
Enormous Morse into a torrential watercourse from Trent.
“You senseless, offensive, violent horse,”
Chorused the tortured, drenched Morse.
Yet, Morse lamented and swore to descent his portly content,
As soon as Corso implements his chores back in Kent.
And to mend his sores
From his hell-bent horse,
Reinvented Morse reinforced his orders
By tensing the cords toward extensive fence borders.
With a consenting snort for repented gent Morse,
The contented horse, relented pretenses and wended a short decent course.

Our skin, embracing the touch
While the penetration of deep breaths succumb
Soft lips breathing hot about my neck
My lips and hands tracing the outline of your body
Fingers intertwine and our legs climb about each other
The sheets, they seem to tangle
Just as our clothes are sprawled across the floor
The heat of two bodies starts to fill the air
Making eye contact as our mouths dry
Licking our lips and tightly holding onto each other
We don’t want it to end, hanging onto the sensation as long as we can
Switching places now; your hands up and down my back
My lips resting on your shoulder
The smell of your skin and hair corrupt my mind
As I feel you deep within, controlling my movements
Breathing exciting warmth on my ear, like a whisper
Our hearts pounding so hard, we can hear them echoing in our chests
Our bodies begin to shake uncontrollably
Grasping your arms tighter then before
Our breaths are getting louder, more intense
So intense they’re turning into sounds
Shifting about the bed, fingers through my hair
Movements are getting faster and faster
The sensation is getting closer
Chills are beginning to take over my body
Your body is tensing up; there’s no going back
Our lips embrace once more as the sensation is released
Now our body’s resting side by side
Trying to regain our breath
Letting our skin touch
Eye contact; lips intertwine

Epyllion
Beelzebub arrived between the christmas lights strung inside my dorm,
Buzzing on my walls and brain to display what he must warn.
Voices scream inside my head when no one is around,
Dragging me deeper into my mind where I'll be lost and unfound.
Falling with legs above my head into an endless pit of black,
As electric currents shock my spine and ride along my tensing back.
My breath has become the only sign that I am alive,
As cirrus shadows swirl in smoke poured from a hornet's hive.
The shaking nest rocks back and forth before me on a fishing rod,
Spitting out the stinging insects who laugh at thoughts of god.
In and around my head they go, zapping my unzipped dendrites,
Picking and pricking my epidermis as cortisol calls my inner flight.
I cannot fight for I've lost my might that I've let spill from a mason jar,
Out it poured and what filled in its place was a heavy goo of fearful tar.
Heavier and heavier I sink to the floor as the tar in the jar does settle,
And my brain is bombarded with sound from the steam of a blowing kettle.
"Where is that damned kettle," I beg from an empty space that offered to help,
I'm trapped and overstimulated with no one around to hear me as I yelp.
Faces of Keebler elves appear on the walls and laugh with greedy grins,
Spread across their chubby cheeks that bounce atop their long pointed chins.
As the laughing and cackling wallpaper spits and spews some insulting news,
The wifi slaps my wrists in wispy waves of nano-soldiers marching two by two.
It sucks me into the internet where my neurons have been displaced,
Now I'm a refugee left in an IP address which cannot by me be traced.
Welcome to the carousel of cranial overactivity which round inside me goes,
A parade of paranoid delusions galloping along to whatever the wind will blow.

violent power seduces within
moments equipping assurance,
swirling senses of embrace,
separating
circumstances
confusing the present.
our bodies succumbed-motionless
form clouds above, trembles of loneliness.
outpouring rivers of wine,
her innocence,
my softness
aching squalls of temptation,
tender flesh
discloses nature
behind fine-combed meadows
parting our conscious,
consuming
lavender harlot kisses.
bearing our weight-drumming,
steady-cadence-of- passion. numbing
spilled breath heavy as
saturating coastal fog.
peacefulness of sleep,
caresses shivers across my legs,
whirlwind tremors
begin tensing her thighs,
(a suffocating serpent)
imprisoned between heavens
softness of touch, across abdomens.
for a moment,
shivering,
exposed true nature,
life becoming no parenthesis,
bodies wrapped in
weightless vertigo-

I see-the•! I brea-the•!
I pant, gasp, and hea-ve•!
Spirit crushing monster, inside.
All strength, mu-stered•!
Turning him aside.
Invisible clones attacking,
from every side.
My concentration stacking,
my training will preside.
Each movement must be crisp,
sharp, some soft, all intense.
Devastating strikes.
Impenetrable defense.
My master watches.
Burning eyes, bird of prey.
68 years and deadly.
Him the artist, me the clay.
Channeling air,
waves of the ocean.
Tensing dragon,
crippling explosion.
The dead are woken,
war cry ringing out.
Shadows flee the fire,
of paralyzing shout.
Certain of death's blow.
There never was a doubt.
I pivot, I block!
I counter, I stalk.....
Flowing like water.
Stance of solid rock.
Reaching, growling, snarling,
inner demon is unlocked.
A snap! A flick.
Another broken wrist.
A smash! A crash!
Ribs give beneath the blast.
Last man standing.
I use him as a shield.
Vice of choke, 10 seconds.
Consciousness to yield.
As I come to the end,
I hear the watchdog bark.
"HAJI-ME•!!"
It's time to begin.
Again!......Again!....
and again.
It is the Goju way.
Karateka perfection,
to survive that fateful day.

A LADY
"No lady am I." she would say with force,
tensing her shoulders and shaking her head.
I would smile and say, "Yes dear, but of course."
knowing she was truly a lady bred.
A spirited woman by her own design,
Dianne would speak out just what she thought.
Biting her own tongue was just too benign.
Being equal to men is what she sought.
A lady to pamper, that she was not.
A woman to love is what I knew well.
Inside that body was a love so hot.
She kept it hidden beneath a thin shell.
Woman of passion forever to shine.
I love you my lady, forever mine.

Tensing, and about to move,
Clouds hover twisting with hoof,
Lingo parapentes this flush body:
Hurling shavings’ stop the prove.
A whale, psycho or streetlight:
Moss convenes the hefty truss,
Armoured spears fling to the bat,
Frozen in time to lure the buzz.
Naked! Bereft of pen and paper -
Paparazzi’s might slithers in dipole:
Collision kills this vapour, tribe, vibe;
The soul fraps, flapping a gold taper.
Whence is thy labour parapet -
Where are your stations and grain?
Why are solid requests paraphernalia?
When adjustments are fisture gain.
How you loath me - the self, soul:
Incanting verse and troth to fight;
Whilst proxy, spread, call, sound,
Legitimise oozing, sore canons - tight.
Butterflies come from caterpillars,
The human comes from trait, said dead,
Poesy loves grammatical technology,
And diversity clothes in personal thread.
O self, worldwide! How do you drift?
The miniature scoops cleaving the spirit:
Fine detail creates the abstract flint beside,
And structure charts float the pixel’s sift.

Tail-rhyme
Even in a place such as this
Our thoughts, unwanted will come
And feelings that I did not miss
Will march in, a quickening drum
It picks up my heartbeat, takes it along
But slows my mind to a halt
Looking around me, I still don't belong
I'm a speck of pepper amidst pure salt
Face burning eyes closing body tensing
The lack of attention I'm sensing
Giving me the edge I need to retreat
Off into the cool January air
Glasses off, hair down, release heat
Release every worry, every care
At home the bed feels amazing at last
And tomorrow too close, too far
I close my eyes, I know I fade fast
looking up towards my favorite lil star
"Goodnight"
I whisper to the shadows on walls
A silence that echoes in the grayened halls
