Take Advantage Of Poems | Examples

A Smiley Faced Pill

I once took a peer pressured pill that sent me in to a hypersensitive thrill. A smiley faced white pill , I was forced to endure to not be labelled a buzz kill. After the effects started to kick in my body began to sway, hallucinations of demons closed in on me which I could not fight away. I was a souls trapped in a human body trying to jump ship, my skin burned to the surface whilst my stomach did a back flip. My peers laughed at me whilst I lost my mind, some tried to take advantage of me on the dance floor with a grind. I felt helpless like I had no control, and I had shed my skin I left my body on the floor she was oh so thin. One tiny pill took my life I followed the reaper to the golden gates whilst he gripped his scythe. Don’t do drugs they take your humanity, addiction paid its price and cost me my sanity

PROTECT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

Protect your mental health
At all costs rather it's
Dealing with family who
Uses the word family
As an excuse to have their way
Or take advantage of you
Stand your ground and
Protect you because if
They really cared,
They would never use the
Family card, which they use
When they want something
From you or when it benefits them
Ask them for a favor and see
What happens, and the ones
Who love to put there two cents in
Let them do it

Lessons I Follow

If someone walk further than you
Do not be offended. It always happen.
Take advantage of you being alone
It's good for the mind and health
If you're not happy with your work,
Quit. Find job that suits your will
Don't compromise with your enemies
This will find them more insulting
Don't be humble. Be a personality.
Always regard importance of yourself
Work always with love in your heart
And you will find contentment in life.

Not Knowing

Not knowing is scary,
	It’s unnerving.

I wonder everyday where you are
	And how you’re doing,
And if there’s a new me in your life.

But you said there’s no one like me.
	Was that a lie?
It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve lied.

The scars on my limbs are the only reminder of you.
	Such a sad thought.
That only way I remember you,
	is through my pain.

The echoes of your voice,
the things you’ve said to me.
They seem to ring through my head,
like a bell rings in a church.

You never truly loved me,
you loved the memories we had.
		The good times we had.

I hate myself for that.
I let you take advantage of me like that.
Something my mother would never accept.
Something my father would warn me about.

I don’t know.

	Not knowing is scary.
		But I know I’m right.

Thats what scares me.

Premium Member Bad ideas never die

Social Media influencers on the racist right
said us Jews control radio and TV
That we rot the roots of morality’s tree,
The implication is clear; there’s no society free.

One TV personality invited a guy
who spouted reasons for Hitler's views
As the real deal, I wonder why
So much dumping on the Jews

They talk of the 'noticing' - a kind of right wing 'woke'
where folks wake up to Jewish control
They take advantage of a center that's broke
Old ideas corrupt a bewildered soul.

Some shout that we’re pushing everything gay,
Yet many gays march against Israel today.
On campuses now, free speech has its price—
Debate is forbidden; it just isn't nice.

Even China got into that social media bed
plus it helps Iran, the Houthis, lots more could be said
In Brooklyn, some blacks punch Jews in the head
In America, some Jewish blood spilt and ran red

Yes, it’s true we have fools, that cross red lines,
Who chase after causes that darken our times.
But most of us build, most of us mend—
Confuse friend and foe, and you hasten the end.
Bad ideas never die
Let's stand firm against the lie.

SUCK UP

Move or walk
With those you confide in
So you can do whatever you want
Without being fearful or timid.

Pay attention
So you don't, fall a victim
You never pay twice
Maybe you lost attention
Letting your opposition
To take advantage of you again.

Stay strong, stand firm
But be fragile
To those
Who wanna see you on top
Not low, so they can glow
Your circle, your elevator
Into another realm or level
The people you keep either make or break you, be aware!

Premium Member What It's Like Being Deaf

My ears knows only silence/
It's an empty darkness, a quiet void/
The world snaps, grows frustrated, mad/
When words must be repeated/
But they don't see the truth of our quiet lives/
It's not our fault, so please be patient/
Growing up, through every season of life/
We face the bullies, the ones who take advantage/
They don't understand, we are a culture/
Of our own/
Bound by language of hands and hearts/
We live with the silence that surrounds us/
But within, there is so much to say/
So show care, show understanding/
Repeat yourself if you must/
Because we do ultimately hear you/
Even if it takes three tries/
Be patient, be kind/
The deaf are people, too/
We feel as you feel/
We dream as you dream/
We cry as you cry/
Do not bully us, do not mock us/
Do not take advantage of us/
Because we are human, too/

'People Pleaser'

Every day when I wake up in the morning
I promise myself that today will be different and I’ll change
So that I’ll be able to finally sleep without my head hurting
From replaying these lucid agonizing moments relentlessly

When all I could do is please, support and trust people
While they are constantly stepping on me to move forward
And I just can’t say no to them, it took me a while to realize
That when you let people take advantage of you, they’ll never stop

I’m always deceived by the typical two-faced people
Prioritizing their feelings and their impression about me
While neglecting myself, feeling bad and the urge to be kinder
But at the end of the day, I’m the one who keeps losing to people who didn’t even try.

Daily Illusions

Living in a false vision, while creating illusions of bad decisions. In my past when my footsteps became ashes,I was stealing for others who really need it.I position myself in danger countless times for strangers with smiling faces who take advantage of kindness, weakness, and talents. But now that Im polished in my craft,Im well balanced surrounded with solid knowledge and display my wisdom that pays attention and listen before I solved them. With tunnel vision deciphering through the rumble and rewritten for those who gets misguided.Cause in my experience language is the true connection of us breathing, while others sleep and dream about living, manuevering through life in a empty body suit in flesh, that dont bleed or shed.Barricaded themselves in there own prison, even there reflection denies its own visit. Its ashamed many dont realize in life we have options to disengage derange or grab on tight to what feels right.I tend to go down memory lane, visualize those precious moments in the past, were all lies, giggles and laughs. But now that I found God,I disgarded my mask,to show my true demeanor and pave my positive mission everlast.

Twenty Brief Springs

Take advantage of those non enduring things,
they are similar in swiftness to evanescent time:
it's the cleverest thief stealing your last dime,
who saves in an amber jar copper pennies?

Does youth only last for twenty brief springs?
Staring into the clearest mirror simply deceives:
that smooth face will no longer glow with beauty,
fine lines and wrinkles could appear after forty!

Wonder why movies stars look younger than us?
It's not privilege or favoritism: it's the tons of money
that make miracles happen: while we turn green with envy;
don't be angry with yourself, avoid any unnecessary stress!

Throw away the expensive cream jars, they create false images,
they can't give back the radiance of lost youth as believed;
Aphrodite knew that secret and kept it locked for endless ages,
Eros was her admirer and lover: no elixir was ever needed!

Never Again

God asked me is that really what you want?
A man that truly doesn't care about your heart?
Who will take advantage of your kindness and only think about himself?
While you would put his heart above everyone else,
At that moment I thought of the past and now,
And how God weeded each of them out,
And placed me alone again so I could see,
I no longer felt trapped, and He gave me peace,
A freedom in my heart I can't quite describe,
Even through the pain and the tears in my eyes,
Like I could finally breathe again with purpose to thrive,
Like I've never felt more alive,
I thought of the apostle Paul with his words that I could now understand,
And I remembered that feeling of being alone again,
Not alone in the sense that you think,
Got engulfed my heart around everything,
All of a sudden I could focus without interruption in the way,
And I realized not one man I chose really loved God this way,
They didn't respect the faith and the love I held for God,
And at that moment I thanked God they were gone,
Because the distractions were taking me farther away,
Away from my first love, diminishing my faith,

Premium Member God has given me many talents

I am a cartoonist; have been drawing them since I could hold a crayon.
I will dabble them on paper, cardboard, metal, wood, and rayon.
But I did not know until I was over sixty that I am also a painting fool.
I did not learn anything about either from a mentor or any school.

In ten years I have painted over sixteen hundred of my cartoons.
enough stacked in my garage to make me one of several buffoons.
sure, I am a writer too, and a poet, especially fond of rhyming.
things have come to me automatically, not my own idea or timing.

God has graced me with many talents, and I am overjoyed with His grace.
If I did not take advantage of these gifts, I would feel like a disgrace.

Premium Member Relish Life

“Life is short. Relish it from beginning to end, and share your joy in it with friends and family." by author of poem

Sip the delight of life as if it were fine wine.
Savor it as you would savor every morsel of a delicious feast.
Life will not always be easy,
So you must take advantage of every precious moment.
Dance, sing, laugh, chase fireflies, and watch the sun rise and set.
Such simple things as these are free.
Life is a gift, and once you open it,
It is more important that you share it with loved ones.
Teach your children the joy of living so that
Your joy in living it will extend itself for generations to come.

Premium Member tough talking Sadie

Sadie liked to talk tough
because she was soft, an easy target
she fell prey to people who take advantage of nice
her tough words kept people away
it is not that they feared her
it is that they thought she would be tough
not understanding how easy she was
she often bragged that she had slugged or slapped someone
Fake advertising that had the desired effect.
