He plays me like his violin
puts me through the gamut of emotions.
Each note is plucked just right to harmonize
with jasmin shades of bloom.
The breeze hums its chant of loneliness
for anyone willing to listen. It's an open
invitation to every lonesome soul.
A heartbeat and its echo resonates,
bathing in a mellow atmosphere
of honey drippings in the dark of night
where broken hearts will soon gather
and try to mend under a sullen moon.

Let us all sing a happy song,
A Jolly national sing along
Melodies of Friendship and Praise
The past is becoming a misty haze,
When we hear voices loud and strong.
Let us all dance today,
Helping our troubles fade away
Dance any way you choose
With bare feet or high-heeled shoes.
Put your talents on display.
Let us all get the beat,
It is cool to feel the heat
Of the beating of drums and vibes too
The sexy saxophone and the Kazoo.
What a glorious musical treat.
Goodness, I've got carried away,
I'm afraid that I have to say,
I used to adore singing and dance
Music still puts me in a trance.
But now, I happily wave and sway.
How long should beauty wait while ugly chance bellows and dance?

Calling card, heart shaped, scented with strawberry
Dot point offers plant remote scenario seeds
Swirled responses confuse clients, strings tangled
Caught in pitiless draught, swung by fastidious song
Men attempt to measure vapour, mind's desperation
Digs hungrily into collapsing burrows
Tunnel bends suddenly, bright Saint rays blinding
Instilling whites to irises burdened by jutting brow
Bosom bandaged in gilt silk gown rhythms innocently
Kimono openings brush bristled necks in eroticism
Tension simultaneously softens perception
Velvet weaves an inlet, secrets under her cummerbund
Unfamiliar ocean floor coral organism submerges
Carbon crumbling flame surmounts ash, absorbent
Finite fire paralised by Siren's immortal smiling
Fingers deftly unthread rationale, star array unrationed
Mild explosive conceals danger in magic
Moss pubis rises to challenge, a next breath
Taken as death's ultimate verdict, torture of relief
Vixen innoculates victim with vibrant vial of uranuim

Palm Sunday 2016_ I AM SWAYED
Dressed in white and black with wide smiling beams;
Oh! how I miss 2015, its palm and serenity_
2016! you see four corners of the colourful room
Childrens' ward is where thou shall be
Frowning at the challenges coming my way
Acceptance of ones life_is easy to say_
then peace shall come your way_
One year is not enough for acceptance to come
Fallen trunks, brown branches of Winstons' wrath
School building standing tall_seems lost
Even though activities going on
Centrifugal wind force waking up the soul
Which junction have I been blown?
Trudging the muddy road with stones
Tripping and falling, standing up seems to be far away
Even though carrying my cross used to be my motto_I AM SWAYED.

The writing’s on the wall but, a life decision can sway destiny.

A Brian Strand 1,2 or 3 line Poetry Contest
Brian Strand
With such feminine flamboyancy
this maiden sways in breathtaking movements
flashing, flitting, flaming a sweet minuet--
beneath a mural of moonlight’s alchemy,
her flared gown fair as sequined feathers
that midway, in birdsong's sultry melody,
her flight of fancy floats on my garden- floor
and like a magical sylph in tints of magenta,
she mingles with blooms on lawn's mainstage—
oh this femme fatale; a Mayflower,
mantling the pageant of summer's first festival!
For Brian Strand : Alliteration Contest
and I walked along Hai Ba Trung looking
for peace and reconciliation but only found
whores and foodsellers
and the former shouted,"come in sir!",
and the latter spilt grease on to the sidewalk
and paid no attention the the swayers
so I shouted back, "please no I'm gay",
hoping my lie would send them away
and a long-legged gal shouted back,
that's OK fellah,"I,m ladyboy Lou
(and a look that said I wouldn't have
to pay)
so I sloped away with my morality
between my legs and the thought of
a cold beer with a view to the street
