Out of the blue, noticed
The haunt of soulful eyes
Aging eyes with wrinkles
But the same vibe and charm
Sunken eyes grew misty
For sensing same ardour

The cragged moon, a curdled, midnight bloom,
Where veins of frost, dissect a shadowed room.
A galaxy of mold, on lunar stone,
A whispered legend, soft and darkly known.
It weeps a brine, a sharp, celestial tear,
A pungent phantom, banishing all fear.
Then, amber relics, in a glassy tomb,
Where time's slow fingers, weave a spiced perfume.
Each wrinkled emerald, a sunken, ancient eye,
That holds the secrets, of a bygone sky.
They swim in brine, a sun-kissed, golden sea,
Where sharpness sleeps, and tangy memories flee.
These kindred spirits, in a twilight tryst,
A marriage strange, by starlight's silver kissed.
One, a moon's decay, a noble, bitter grace,
The other, time's own kiss, upon a verdant space.
A symphony of tang, a whispered, aged lore,
Where phantom flavors, haunt forevermore.
A taste of ages, in a shadowed, secret place,
A paradox of pleasure, etched on time's worn face.
A velvet darkness, and a sunlit, sour dream,
Where sharpened shadows, and aged sunbeams gleam.

O, Heavenly Father
how long must you keep me here
standing on sunken cities?
I am still crying to you in anguish
tired of being torched by the flames
of enemy forces day in and day out
Shield me inside the caves
you have built
on the outskirts of these cities
create a way for me in your presence
to keep me from being devoured
I will praise you O, God
for your rain of deliverance
and the inner strength gifted within me
to stand above these sunken cities
and bring
glory to your name

An old octagon table
with a laminated press board top
Left outside it may soon rot
legs of steel make it heavy
Lifting it alone not quite able
dragged it out the back door into the mud
For rest sat on it with a thud
steel legs sank deep into the soft ground
Now a bench on display
for in the back yard it now stays
Still should move it not really an excuse
but it is a nice place to roost.

Respect for the Sunken Sea
David J Walker
Call home the bison to blacken
And roam freely the prairie floor
Once more as if farms failed and
Farmer flailed about a desperate ruin
The rains run north or south but never
Here nor never there
The dry air invites the sun to
Turn the towns left to rust
Into the dust of simmered measures of
Unremembered history
Call home the eventual grasses guarding
The parched ground where the
Sound of the wind winds and refines
The prayers offered to departed fathers
The passing path is shrouded in silence

In the sunken garden of love,
Pure water is conserved.
For-get-me-nots grow from above.
Fragrant roses are served.
Love will make our scent sing,
Birds fly and thrill with zing,
I feel i am a king.
Time up says the warden,
In the sunken garden.

I look into the mirror
I barely recognize myself
My skin is pale
My eyes sunken in
Inside is broken,
While the outside withers
Who am I but myself?
Something broken and dead
I feel my own heart
A steady rhythm
My thoughts are scattered
My smile bland
I feel like I am dying
Inside I am already dead
Who am I?
I no longer feel like myself
Hopeless and withered
My heart to break again

A sunken face on all sides pale,
As the owner’s head keep supporting a pail,
Then, to the also saddled younger,
He flung a suffocating order:
That he his own suppressive load take over,
And if he so wished bear it forever,
But must not any bitter tale,
Dare to their daddy tell,
About a sudden disgraceful inability,
Or a shifted responsibility,
As all hearers would judge it disguised hostility,
And to him ascribe lesser agility.

The long guns trained upon my fragile refuge,
yet still to find forgiveness in contrite cadence' known.
Will you discover the dream has died-
in defiance of a love so giving...
to find the day's child-like grasp,
of world and wonder worth living.

Love Walking with a sunken pain,
I limp every next, for pride.
No faith, no belief, not even greed, in my losing stride.
Wasted for good, wasted by glory,
I seek an emotion.
Slapped by fate, robbed by time
sensing a premonition.
Well, the times shall change,
the times shall sail.
But the love, for a soul that blessed
my world, shall never ever fail.
I Love you
You Have No Clue, How Much I Love You
To the rest of the world you must be just another man,
But to me you're the one who makes me smile, 'coz only you can.
You give me friendship, you give me support, you give me confidence,
Meeting you in life, was definitely no coincidence.
You are the one who is made for me on earth,
And I was made for you, right from birth.
I can imagine myself with no other but you,
I love you so much so much & you actually have no clue.

Haunted Old Ocean;
Specters swim throughout the sea;
For many a good ship has,
Met its final doom;
Within the tempestuous,
Waters and cannot move on.
On stormy nights you
May see a ghostly visage;
A ship that no longer sails.
Know that beneath lay,
One in its watery tomb;
It’s calling to warn…”Danger”!
Its last memory
Before fate let the waters,
Collect another victim.

Oh my dear, I do see your silhouette;
Sad as it seems your tears steadily drip,
crashing to the floor but oh so quiet.
My love, I do fret I cannot quite rip this
puppeteer of pure pain behind your eyes.
“Come closer my love,” but she stood quite still.
Though the tears become puddles as she cries,
the dark fears cannot break desire’s will.
Oh how her shadow now fades glowingly,
broken promises pry pleasure from pain.
She smiles finally and, knowingly
in her eyes no more tears; her sky no rain,
for she’s found solace in realizing
the grace of having a heart still beating.

Broken hearted, I hand in my resignation
From seas of disappointments I’ve suffered
At your hands in stagnation
You nurtured, progress snuffed, your ego puffed
In your Ivory Tower where power
Looms strong on the agenda
You pursue every second, every minute, every hour
Regarding back to sender
As top priority my concerns set at the bottom of the list
You draw up
In the crib where you brandish the fist
That knocks out hope from the cup
Overflowing with judgment errors
Which you deem insignificant
In the context that mars
The relationship you can’t
Defend in your pursuit to overflow
Ego tripping
Slow, slow, slow
Heaping, snipping, whipping
Up no regret
I remind you time to let go
At all no secret
No more bliss to forgo
In a circus I dare not watch
Hearts sunken
No longer in a mood to catch
Empty promises spoken, broken, forsaken.
