“back to the seasonal future”
i dreamt of waking
to a night where
a pillow fight
did break out out
in the garden bed
a puff of goose
down now
lays on the ground
and sugarplum fairies
dance in my head

Christmastime
Green evergreen trees - candles aglow
Family and friends - wreaths with red bows
Cookies and caroling - sugarplum dreaming
A babe in a manger - a star brightly beaming

We hardly knew we were children
When we trudged like soldiers
Through the new snow
As it draped the barren maple
Trees
Of the northeast
In a new winter coat,
We barely knew another world sang like
A mutable wind,
Beyond the phantom of
Small town madness
Where matriarchal rules
Danced like the sugarplum fairy
Right into the minds of its youth...
So,
Some of us hitchhiked out,
Long hair and guitars in hand,
Some flew to colleges out west,
And those that never left
Couldn’t believe there could be
One small bit of grace
In a new chorus of thought
Right smack in the middle of change,
So they stayed,
Just to be sure the four
Precise seasons
Still snapped into place,
And they too
Had children
Who didn’t know they were children
Year
After year.

Waves of romance caress her dreamy shore,
Desire in its rise and dips
I only want to hug her more
As the gift of love flows from her fingertips
And I tenderly kiss her sugarplum lips

You are gluttonous, wrathful, and frigid
I’m always watching you, even as you sleep
We're killers with murderous instincts
I’ll annihilate all that hurts you, spit on their low life headstones
We’ll fill the grave yards, my psychotic sugarplum
Floating on surreal beams, you never smelt so enticing
You’re my deranged priestess, the faith healer I will always come too
I’m feeling raptorial and incubus
I’ll stuff you in my mouth, pull your hair, cut your wind slightly, and eat you out slowly.
My love your provoking wrapped in a filthy fashion, you are royalty
Let’s make the weak bleed through their throats
The murder of blackbirds sings are song during sunrise
Body bags full of rotten heads covered in sores
Their bones pulverized to dust
This is immortal condemned agony
Darling lets continue this unholy heaving
Bite my skin and drain me
Let me feel your loving emotion through your fingers
Please enter my mouth, while I hold your chambers with sweat and covet
Sing like angle frenzy, your nightgown is compelling
Beautiful and terrifying, let us be in suspension

When duskfall glints across a lustrous arc
Deepening the green of our Yuletide pine;
My eyes capture this eternal wonder
As a ladder of bulbs surrounds the pole:
Joyful these hours , graced by a ritual
Every late October , Dad’s tradition
And I , an eve- daughter am still beguiled
By such gaiety so markedly engraved,
Adorning bright twigs with vintage décor--
Then a candle is passed , our wishes shared
While Dad tucks an angel crownng the top
Till Mom gathers us for sugarplum fare!.
Though older now this gift of ardor lives on
My family decking the Christmas tree,
Same time of the year, late October:
I hang gold baubles knowing that a presence
Lights among the sprigs, the winding branches…
For Mom and Dad are felt in this moment
By the glitter of pine, candles aflame,
A tree magic eclipsing all my seasons.

At times, I sank low
At times, I felt on top of the world
Questioning why ebb and flow.
Why the bitterness creeps in, I asked?
Nobody knows, I wept for night to over
Memories of my mother kissing on my cheeks!
Wish I could fly back to her before dead separate us.
I wish I wish ……
Growing in her wings was like having sugarplum.
Nostalgic dream, while holding forth her care
Would it‘d be enough if I live for her
At any cost, pouring out her heart.
Simply cherishing her boundless love!

When you see sugarplum reindeer pulling, a chocolate Santa in a golden sleigh It may have not been the dragée little protégée when you dance with a ginger man, at his house when three Christmases, become a nightmarish hole, made of marshmallows. It may have not been the snort of whiskey, in a mug where fairies, spirits or witches have their way dreams and your papaw becomes grampus hell bent like Krampus it may have not been the dragée little protégée it may have not been the snort of whiskey, in a mug but you were bitten by a little thing called, the humbug

rambunctious conundrum
rambling about some dumb outcome
you can try if you want
but this guy can never be outdone
can't stop now, I'm having too much fun
don't like what you hear
you can find the exit
by collecting the sprinkled cookie crumbs
heaven is tasting
your honey pie kitty cat sugarplum

The sun shines in like honey
across a sugarplum lane
laden with icicles dripping slow
or freezing fast suspended un-dripped
where the water flows not
or does at the whim
of the sun, wind, and clouds
these days cannot last
but indeed it seems they do
yet the cold lays out a path
in which spring will soon walk
making happy the moments
born of sweet desire to be warm
in ways that only winter's child can know
so we find in that momentary sorry
the seed of tomorrow's joy
and as our toes freeze tonight
we take pleasure in knowing
some warmer pasture will bloom
when we can appreciate our life
that is how it feels to be
in the grip of love or loss
and in that grip we know
the pendulum will swing again
and that alone gives us some cadence
to appreciate the moment for itself
full and graced in every way
if only we can look through
beyond the mirror of our constraint
and see the pretty day rising
as it always does

IS IT JUST ME?
Is it just me? Or
Does everybody secretly
-Want to lie down and roll in a
Huge clump of bluebells when they see it?
-Think that pepperoni pizza
is just about the tastiest food in the world?
-Realise how wonderful it is to
Embrace someone they love deeply?
-feel almost brought to tears by Pacino’s “blind” speech
at the school in Scent of a Woman?
-wish that Tchaikovski had written about 100
Different dances in The Nutcracker,
Each as beautiful as Sugarplum?
