Someone will come for you,
Someone will have your back,
Someone will stick up for you,
And some is what they will lack,
Someone will make you smile,
Someone will make you laugh,
Someone will make you cry,
And some won't do anything above,
I can be that someone to make you laugh,
I can be that someone to make you smile,
I won't be the one to make you cry,
I'm more to be a lover,
Not a follower,
I'm not just someone,
I am the one,
The one to lift you up,
The one to hold you high,
The one who won't make you sad,
Yet the one to make you mine,
The one to give you hugs,
The one to help if I can,
The one who won't forget you,
Even if those someone's who can,
Your my best friend,
Your my Someone,
My Someone to complete me,
Even when we're gone...........

A longing feeling fills my heart
I lean over to my love who lay cuddled up in the grass next to me
This is very new, as I never believed I should feel this level of happiness
He has taught me the love I truly feel I deserve
Always giving me the first bite
Always flocking my feathers that stick up on my left side
Always waddling beside me at just the right pace
Soon one stary cool night we entertained the big next step
Ruffled feathers swirled around us as our bodies intertwined
Your river-scented musk fills the air
Feeling the pressure inside of me until we both beautifully pop
I had never had such a smooth flight to a destination in my life

Hey! Your hair is sticking up!
This news flash is from a seven-year-old.
I know, I tell him. It’s Dad hair.
I can’t do anything with it.
I have two cowlicks.
Sometimes they both stick up
looking like horns, which goes well with my personality.
You could comb it, my husband says.
He has bought me combs.
No idea where they are.
I have no interest in my hair or the hair of others.
So of course God made me the mother of three daughrers.
Two of them do their hair.
The other one is like me, we don't even like to wash it.
Tonight a male beautician asked me what I wanted.
I said “do whatever you want. I hate hair.”
“Great!” he said. “You will be the funkiest grandma in town.”
“I am already the funkiest grandma in town,” I informed him.
“Do a Mohawk. I don’t care.”
When he finished he said “I forgot to do the Mohawk.”
“That’s okay,” I told him. “My boss is conservative.”
But I did leave him a big tip
for not taking my advice.

Let me preface my poem with saying that this is a narrative of what I saw from a video. I don’t agree with violence nor profanity. I do however understand a man wanting to stick up for his wife. There is enough crazy to go all through this situation.
Chris Rock told a tasteless joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
Will was not amused.
It was no shtick, that slap
it was adamant
unabashed
didn’t care if anyone was looking
preferred it
“#$@& you” he yells,
after the heartbreak
if a husband stares into his wife’s eyes
and he drowns in the cold shark abyss
for her heart has been suddenly hurt
watch out…
surely the shuffle of feet
you’re quite lucky
it wasn’t a full grown punch

I don't wish to sound an alarm
But ladies are losing their charm
My thingamabob
Appears shish kabob
And they aim to skewer the farm!

Cats taught me how to be myself, to like myself, to play and roll.
As kittens they showed me what being annoying looks like.
They showed me how great it is to show myself, to live my soul.
Enthusiasm dancing and hopping, they were more fun than my bike.
They taught me that they will pout and hiss and stick up their nose.
If you make them mad, they will most certainly wet on your shoe.
Cats do not like snake-like things especially not the garden hose.
But they also taught me that cuddling will help if you are any way blue.
Cats taught me to be your own person, to be your own happy clown.
Taught me it is great to roll your tummy up and take a nap in the sun.
Joyful and fun, cats are happy to use you as a nest, patting you down.
They taught me that living life is all important, the goal is to have fun.

There’s a little guy, who you may know,
He’s friendly, pudgy, and plump.
And he puts on quite a funny show,
When he plays he likes to hop and jump!
He’s mostly colored all black,
With a tail he can stick up and make fuzzy.
He has a white streak down the middle of his back.
Can you tell me, which animal is he?
Yes, he’s a skunk and his name is Tater-Tot,
And he lives right here at the zoo.
He loves to play and eat a whole lot,
But he’s not stinky and he can’t spray you!
He’s a mammal and an omnivore,
He eats all of his vegetables and meat.
But when he’s done, he always wants more!
And he always spills food cause he’s not very neat!
He’s up all night and he sleeps all day,
He’s nocturnal and can’t see very well.
He’s cute and cuddly and loves to play,
He may not stink, but boy can he smell!

Dad or Bad.
Broken homes
And
Lavish dens
On Benefits
Or in a benz
Got enemies
Some call Friends
There's
Stick up kids
Gangs with shivs
And the thug addicts
Selling drug habits
There's the good
Bad happy and sad
Who am i
Im now a dad

I tossed a stick up in the air
To watch it fly around
I waited for that stick to fall
Before me on the ground
It must have been a special stick
That did not make a sound
For when I searched the ground ahead
That stick could not be found
I never did retrieve my stick
That disappeared that day
Perhaps the stick was mad at me
For throwing it away
The moral of the story is
Be careful what you say
For if a stick can resurrect
Then you should learn to pray.

and a fearsome blue mask
What do you mean
"Is this a stick-up?"
How dare you ask

I miss how you used to stick up for me even if I was wrong.
It’s been a while since you’ve passed, and it’s been too long.
You’re my grandmother and always made me feel free.
You accepted me as me, even if my actions you didn’t agree.
It’s been awhile since you’ve passed, and it’s been too long.
No more can I call you, when life seems like it is all wrong.
You accepted me as me, even if my actions you didn’t agree.
I wish by the water I lived so I could talk to you by the lovely sea.
No more can I call you, when life seems like it is all wrong.
Always, no matter what obstacle I was facing, you had made me feel like I did belong.
I wish by the water I lived so I could talk to you by the lovely sea.
Then by the water I would talk and then I could just let the negative be.

“Let’s have a party- it will be fun!
You don’t turn 60 every day- It’s a milestone!”
Words told to my husband about his upcoming Birthday.
He acquiesced, so…
I invited everyone we knew,
Secured the venue,
Started the lists…
Energized by this looming event.
The RSVPs started rolling in
Including the ones from those we were sure wouldn’t come!
The week of the party the Nightmares began-
Wave after wave of them invading my sleep…
Depicting ridiculously insane scenarios and
Setting off anxieties that seemed to stick up their heads whack-a mole- style.
A few cancellations came in….
And I’m starting to wish I was one of them!

Somedays I need a little push
To reach the closing bell
Owners push to the point of exhaustion
Creating a workplace of living hell
I am at the point in my life
Where I dont hold back my words
I stick up for my coworkers
Even if I'm labelled as absurd
I've always gone down swinging
So those who push me be aware
I strike back like a venomous cobra
So push me if you dare.
Political correctness is bull
Created for pussies with no spine
I will say what's right regardless
If I cross your precious line
Men used to carry themselves with pride
And stand for what is right
Now they are afraid of hurt feelings
And lose their backbone to fight
You may not like the words I speak
I really dont care how you feel
I wasn't created for your good pleasure
But to have integrity and keep it real

I have not been in a bathroom with the door closed for nineteen years.
This is what being a grandma is all about.
If I closed the door, I would either pinch little fingers
or the baby punk’n carrier seat would not fit in there with me.
I have willingly given up the luxury of privacy, and here is the perk.
When I lose my mind for good I plan to stick up a mean-looking
Convenience store with bars on the windows.
Something in a seedy neighborhood, where the owner is apt to be packing.
One of three things will happen.
One. I will be shot dead by the clerk who does not know my gun is fake.
Two. Death by cop. I am sorry, but if it is to be, it is to be.
Three. I will be taken alive, and given a cell and a roommate for the rest of my life.
I can stop making house payments, and luckily, I already know privacy is no big deal.
Think of all the money my children will save by not having to pay for a nursing home too.
