Breath of light, casting shadows over the night
Soothing stars and moon in her gentle embrace
Hurling nervous sea against beaches so white

Gentling the surf with a calm time can’t erase
Cobalt sprays fall against the sandcastle reefs
Stirring wells of euphonious tones of grace

Mists of joy, glazing the trembling cloverleafs
Sunlight glow murmuring peace to the coastline
Sand dollar stories emitting soul beliefs

Playing through my heart, songs no man can define
Bruised thoughts fill my mind, singing praises to Him,
Who guides my spirit, causing my light to shine

Across the beach, into the sea, hearts will swim
Compelled by laughter, joy seeks the light so still
Jesus wants more than just living on a whim

He loves His children and means their hearts to fill
He amazes, nothing can be more real
Love deeper than the sun who eases dawn’s chill

Dew drenched mists flow across quiet seas to heal
These are the days God gave to ease our spirit
He is the light to whom I’ll forever kneel

Walk in the light, there’s no reason to fear it
His tears are falling on the wind, just hear it

Premium Member Song of Silence

Stillness floods my soul
Rhythms of peace, to console
Lifting me higher, like hope
Restoring God’s grace so I can cope

Quiet whispers, a song of grace
Pouring forth wonder to gently embrace
Singing through the thunder, praise
His sweet voice will surely amaze

Silent prayers, lifted to the skies
Meant to bring glory that is life size
Revealing the music that plays inside
Those who are servants who ever abide

Remembering the feelings, the glory so wise
Startling the moments with His wonderous surprise…
Wherever we are, whatever comes in our life
He is the answer to all doubting or strife –

He is the reason we can know peace within
He is the wonderful who has always been…
The still in the breath, the song in the wind
He brings forgiveness to all of us who’ve sinned.

I’ll never stop believing He saved me completely
His love flows across my heart, so tender and sweetly
Bringing me assurance that His light will never dim
Because He is the song of forever – the joy in each hymn

Premium Member Romance’s Chorus

Prompt: (Sand promises)

In the morning, as silent stillness flows
My mind is filled with songs of gratitude
For the chorus of your love’s gentle mood
Erasing tears with dreams despite shadows

You are the dawn’s heavy breath of daring
As night falls, you point to the moon and stars
Twinkles stirring the voice of life’s memoirs
These are joys your love is always sharing

Years pass by and I’m caught up in you smile
Sensing the wonder that comes from this love
Passions still burning, like the sun above
I’ve left fear behind since it’s not your style

You are the song that stirs my heart to dance
Your music plays my life’s finest romance

faded songs, pulsing

Premium Member Dying Screams

Gusts thump the windows,
Never seen, but always heard,
Hastening to meet the tallest oaks,
Urging them to sway, bending,
Leaning as if to waltz this way, that way,
Wherever the curls and turns,
Wherever the wind’s song impresses
Them to move – east or west,
North or south, this way and that way,
Every way leads to the lingering burst of wonder,
Amazement found on the crisp edges,
Shadows betraying the notes, the music,
Revealing the laughter of a breathless moment,
When the wind meets the heart,
Silences the doubts and reassures there is hope,
Wherever the wind lays its trembling fingers,
There is the promise of a fresh, cool breeze –
Bold and strong, releasing the moments,
One by one, fading the dark, the fear,
With the dewlike sparkle of a clear joy…
Thumping at the window, impetuous and warm,
Willing to color the world in hues of soft gasps,
Wind’s song invites even the past to hold on,
Because it won’t be long before she is gone.
Just listen to her scream, then – suddenly…
She just up and leaves – the whole world,
Quiet as can be, quiet as the softest grief…
Her death such a mystery!

Premium Member Spring Praise

Joyful hues, salient, vibrant and bold
Splashed against a backdrop of forest pines
Whispering light so serene, like pure gold
Drifting across dew dripping petals, signs

Spring has arrived. touching hearts with wonder
Singing a caress across souls, like psalms
Breaking through plans with rain falling, thunder
Laughing oak, birch and walnut with no qualms

Rushing winds sigh, breezes of blissful hope
Encourage hearts to cry out with concern
Like the thrill lovers feel when they elope
Spring rides the tempest with wishes that yearn

Breath of faith, amazing grace, crooning praise
God’s light shining bright through soft, soothing gaze

You are the music to my lyrics
The shade of rose beneath my blush
The heavenly light awakening my hope
The gentle touch that caresses my soul

Not Affraid

Enthralled in his word as it gives me joy,
Everlasting knowledge is what I will gain.
Knowing of his grace humbles me to a little boy,
For my tears of joy may rain.
My spirit is filled with his joy as it takes me over,
For no other name sounds so sweet off the tip of my tongue.
For my rejoicing I shall not cover,
For I shall not be ashamed of the blessings which is brought,
Unto me a joy that the world didn't give and it can't take it away.
I would give anything just to spend a day,
In Gods kingdom I shall thank him.
For he always will make a way through every unseen pathway in life,
When times get hard but he will always be your light even though life may be dim.
My heart's song is his song of praise,
For unto this day i just want to say thank you for everything.

A Long Wait By the Silent Telephone

If I transformed myself into something
that feels no joy or expresses no feeling:
like those stones in the wilderness
that feel no warmth or coldness,
I'd get rid of this carnal lust...
not fearing what it may cost!

A long wait by the silent telephone
is like dying slowly
without  ever knowing why;
I trusted in you like I trusted in God...
my mistake is all too believable:
I shouldn't have and spared me some misery!

I can't look out of this window
when winter covers these memories with snow;
loneliness has never been so despised
by me as it is right now, because my joy has faded
and it won't be remembered in spring...
when all the joyful robins sing!

A long wait by the silent telephone
is giving up the little hope I have inside...
as the evening invites the angry wind
to scatter all that was beautiful;
I fight with my anger: hardily seeing or learning...
losing the wisdom that brings understanding!
