Christmas Waves of Joy

Beneath the palm trees, Santa sighed, forlorn,
His sleigh stuck fast, his reindeer worn and still.
The Florida sun rose bright that Christmas morn,
A far cry from the frosty North Pole's chill.

The elves devised a clever, timely scheme:
They called on dolphins to replace the sleigh.
With flippers strong, they swam like in a dream,
And Santa laughed, "We'll save this Christmas Day!"

Through waves they flew, with gifts for every child,
A coastal cheer spread warmth both near and far.
Santa proclaimed, his heart and face beguiled,
“Even the tropics can't outshine our star!”

Premium Member Rudolph's Broken Leg

Santa's problem was Rudolph's crutch.
And, also, Rudolph whined way too much.
We need help pulling the sleigh tonight
Another Reindeer might fix our plight.

An animal rescue said, "we've got
three dogs, ten birds, and an ocelot."
We'll take the dogs and birds and thank you.
Okay, so what should those ten birds do?

Amazing, but they flew pretty good.
Santa said he was betting they would.
Dogs left 'neath trees for children to pet,
and it was named, "The Best Christmas Yet"

Although the weather was quite icy,
Rudolph's broken leg healed nicely.

Last-Minute Sleigh

?? Dashing through the mall,
With a coffee in my hand,
Frantic gift-card haul,
This wasn’t what I planned!
Sales are all but gone,
Shelves are looking bare,
How’d I wait this long again?
This really isn’t fair! ??

Chorus:
Oh, last-minute sleigh,
Rushing all the way,
Why’d I procrastinate?
Now I’ll overpay!
Last-minute sleigh,
Racing through the fray,
Next year I’ll shop early—but
Not today!

?? Amazon won’t ship,
It’s cutting close to time,
I’ll never live this down,
The guilt is now sublime!
Grandma’s scarf’s a bust,
My nephew’s out of luck,
Looks like it’s socks for everyone,
Or cash inside a truck! ??

Chorus:
Oh, last-minute sleigh,
Rushing all the way,
Fighting in the checkout line,
For candy canes! (How lame!)
Last-minute sleigh,
Holiday cliché,
But when we laugh about it all,
It’s still okay! ??

By moonlit skies December chills
Winter wind rides sleigh for thrills
Stars twinkle from afar silvery
Two hearts together blend shivery

Santa's Sleigh

Santa's Sleigh

A silent Moonbeam slides across the sky
Like Santa's Sleigh up-in the sky
Snowflake's softly fall upon your roof
Like Santa's Sleigh softly resting

Snowmen smiling, there eye's are glistening
Watching Santa silently entering
A sack of present's upon his back
Wrapped with love, bows and ribbons
Left below your Christmas tree

Mince pie eaten, Carrots are missing
Rudolph's eating, his nose all glowing
Sleigh bells ringing
Santa's Sleigh up-in the sky
Riding the Moonbeam across the sky

Premium Member Strong sleigh

Strong sleigh is needed to carry the peace,
a light candle is burning,
blow it out with a wish.

Premium Member Sleigh Bells

Sleigh Bells

Those who believe are hearing
Santa’s sleigh bells nearing
Loved ones endearing
Gifts we’re bringing
Jingling bells are ringing
Youth are singing
If you just listen
Reunions we’ll bliss in
Icey snowmen glisten
Scarlet poinsettias on display
Midnight mass exult in pray
Carolers chant ‘jingle all the way’
Prancing of reindeer on roofs
Imbued their paws with magical hoofs
Lies upon Santa, the burden of proof
It’s that time of year
Of merriment and good cheer
Joy to all, Christmas is here

Premium Member Away In a Sleigh

Away in a sleigh
No gifts for today
Santa's gone on holiday
Reindeer unyoked, stray

Mr Claus found a clause
In his contract, to pause,
When boots on reindeer paws
Were threadbare without cause

So folks, its pick-up collect
No delivery to home direct
No gifts in stockings decked
Myth of fee-free delivery wrecked

Mr Claus searched high and low
Tried every courier, fast and slow
But the sticking point for no go
Was chimney drop, to down below

The reindeer are lowing
Stars in sky are glowing
Cause Mr Claus forgoing
Has taken up sewing

Premium Member Santas Magical Sleigh

Santa’s sleigh turned magical at midnight on the twenty-eighth.
The elves were amazed. One yelled out “Isn’t this great?”
Not sure yet, said a peppermint stick named Sourpuss Tate.
Where is the sleigh going, and does it have any toy freight?

That sleigh just raced over the hill, yelled Gingerbread Nate.
I think something fell out of Santa’s sack, maybe a dish or a plate.
A reindeer ran off to chase it, but lost sight of it at the gate.
I guess if we want to figure it out, we’d better sit back and wait.

I wish it would have started off sooner said Santa. It is too late!
But it is magical, argued the Christmas faerie, from Iowa State.
Come back here! Yelled a persnickety sugar plum, holding some bait.
The magical sleigh raced away from them all, taunting his fate.

Premium Member Sleigh Ride

I love riding in an old-fashioned sleigh
Tightly bundled against the frosty air,
A fine snowy winter evening getaway.

The two of us snuggling giddy and gay,
Enjoying ourselves without a single care
I love riding in an old-fashioned sleigh.

Listening to harness bells jangle and sway
Occasional snorting of the dappled mare
A fine snowy winter evening getaway.

An exquisite ending to our perfect day
Snowflakes falling softly onto our hair
I love riding in an old-fashioned sleigh.

So enjoyable a ride we’d love to stay
But others are waiting for turns over there
A fine snowy winter evening getaway.

We’re delighted by the children at play
In the snow, and still, they stop to stare,
I love riding in an old-fashioned sleigh
A fine snowy winter evening getaway.

Premium Member Sleigh Bells Jingling

snowflakes mingling
sleigh bells jingling

under rooftops sparkling with snow
visions of gifts and gingerbread
fill children's dreams, asleep in bed
hoping that Santa soon will show

visions of gifts and gingerbread
unfold on this magical night
as nine tiny reindeer in flight
fill children's dreams, asleep in bed

snowflakes mingling
visions of gifts and gingerbread
with Rudolph's red nose shining bright
fill children's dreams, asleep in bed
sleigh bells jingling

sleigh bells jingling
snowflakes mingling

Premium Member Santa Uses a Sleigh

Santa uses a sleigh
A race car!
A sled!
A tambourine!

How do you use a tambourine?
He drummed out a beat.
We mean to get around
To travel

Oh, that’s easy.
He has a limousine.
We are in ready-to-punch-each-other mode now
Just then Santa flies by under a helium balloon

Premium Member Moonlight Sleigh Ride

A brilliant moon casts its mellow glow,
O'er fields covered with glistening snow!

Skeins of geese fly on high silhouetted 'gainst the moon;
The scene is all set for a sleigh ride, so very opportune!

The sleigh has been shed of a years build-up of dust,
And its runners have been waxed, a requisite must!

Dashing Dan was harnessed with jingly bells of course;
For generations he's drawn the sleigh, this gentle and faithful horse!

Mom, Dad and the kids snuggle 'neath quilts warm and snug;
"Giddy up" says Dad and Dan leaps forward with a gentle tug!

They sing 'Jingle Bells' and other Yuletide tunes with joy;
Dad reminisces about sleigh rides with his Grandpa as a boy!

They sip mugs of warm cider and coffee to ward off the chill,
Hailing others with 'Merry Christmas', wishing them goodwill!

Arriving home and after Dan was stabled and the sleigh was stowed,
They sip cocoa nigh the hearth to warm up from the cold!

Precious memories were met this night for future family lore,
As they anticipate next year's moonlight sleigh ride once more.
