Almost to the Stars

Long, long ago
in the dense 
warm
rainforest
where our ancestors
swung from treetops
in the canopy,

someone fell -
a slipped grip,
a jammed finger
or caught tail -
down, down
down

they must have caught hold
of a branch
or a vine,
or the hand
of another
of their species,
a friend in a time of need

because two hundred thousand
years later
and all seven billion
of us
have had that dream - 
falling, falling
only

get high rays
and wetter 
on wet days
closer 
to aeroplanes
in lanes like cars 
soldiers of concrete
steel feet in wars
in pillars 
like Lot’s wife
or muggers
with sharp knife
hanging in blocks
or flocks 
stabbing the sky

Prejudice

We have just agreed on paper:
He is to us all  'A leper'
Still leper with his skyscraper,
No less so with his nice wrapper...

Oh Yes! For him some saved pepper,
Bertram T. Noah cause to caper,
For blokes he'd kept at a distance;
Persons elsewhere 'Revered Substance'
We're all clearly turning fiends, 
Who had been his supportive friends,
At the bottom

Skyscraper - In My Dream

Skyscraper:

In my dream,
The snow lay round about,
Showing clear signs of melting decay
As if light rain had fallen on it recently,
And my eyes could hardly fail to see 
The head of a dead man,
A brave Ukrainian, 
Murdered there.

Skyscraper: 

The raindrops 
Falling over my bed,
Upon the eaves of my bedroom roof,
Sound like an army of cat paws treading lightly
Lest they disturb some troublesome foe,
When all I can think of
Is the rain.

Heavens

Have you ever lived in a tall building? Dawn strikes suddenly and irradiates these glass-walled, high-rise rooms. Lisa showed me how quickly the thick windows - if you press your face against them - go from cold to warm in the morning's stark glare.

On the streets below, beneath the horizon, darkness remains
as if there were,

The Skyscraper

The tall pillarized building
Cold, concrete, dictating
Attacked the sky
Making it packed, broken, hurt, scarred
Blocking those lovely clouds and rainbow
The tall pillarized building
Cold, concrete, dictating
Captured modernized hearts
Making them a slave inside
From nine to five
The tall pillarized building
Cold, concrete, dictating
Formed a towering hazard
To the inquisitive patrolling eyes 
Of the nature - lovers
Making them temporary blind

Skyscraper and Arrogance of the Man the Way You Build Higher

The skyscraper,
climbs to the sky,
solemn...upright
by human
imitation
God's...
undaunted
The man
feels
absolute Sir of the world...
the skyscraper,
falls from the sky,
as an icon
of concrete,
fallen angel...
from its fall
the vain
human,
proud
still...guilt
the simple
clipboard...
not his
prepotency...!
and arrogance...!

Ajna’s layered rows
Having several floors
Beginning between eyebrows
Guru above showing the door ...
to the Sahasrara ...
conjoined with the Anahata
A domain of love spacial
Embrace uncaring of stigma 
Tranquil joy & peace radial

Looking up at the mighty skyscraper
I feel queasy at this colossus Goliath
 Human made wonder of steel and glass
Commanding presence that dares to pierce
the underbelly of the heavens
On her top floors the mass of people below
must appear as tiny ants scuttling along
Interacting in social norms to come and to go
under her skirt's shade

Innocent perfection of vibes across the phone line is it you,

If the world is colliding for worst efforts sounds and barrels escape witness
