Happy man but no heart

Got a short fuse
Got a heart to abuse

With what you call romance
I refuse to dance the dance

Of trying to love someone
Who will always run

Away from me
Even if they

See me for who I am
A struggling man

With a hole in his chest
Looking like he's got nothing left

No heart and desires
Just burnt out fires

And a deep dark hole
Deep down in his soul

Life full of love
More like a life full of pain

It's truly a shame
That I might love someone

Who doesn't love me
In the same way

I guess I'm fine with
Not giving my heart away

I won’t be mad
I won't be sad

I'll be humble
And I'll be neutral

                                  Consider a smarter analysis
                            - loveliness immortal with a squeeze

                                     If you have a short fuse
                                            - learn to lose

Premium Member God and Man - the Great Divide

Compare the evidence of a real divide
so far apart are truly God and man
the comparisons are really traumatic
consider all that covers this great span

God is far greater than created man
always eternal knows everything
fully perfect with no hint of sin
fully spiritual with great blessings to bring

God is never irritable, edgy, fatigued, or depressed
nor is stressed, moody, or never at all blue
His anger never ever had a short fuse
this God's word reveals what is true

Our God is above all possibility
of being touchy, cranky, or temperamental
instead is infinitely energetic, so unbounded
but also like Jesus was meek and gentle

This God is by far the greatest
He far exceeds all that's human
being eternal has always been here
so ask God to do what He can!

Review Some Ideas For Soul Repairing

"Life is a gift"
    Let's look for it not to be
     absent...

   Buy property at the plant
    Of course it doesn't need to wet...!
    Just as someone who plants himself...
    even if it's inside
    in the garden, it does not bear fruit... !

     short fuse person, escape
     up close... the fuse
     it's over soon and device explodes,
     don't stick around...!

     hot person actually
      calm down, you can warm up...
      Me for example, I'm a
      little "hot"...
      but it's just to warm up
      my dear love,
       without burning... he, he...!

      argue biased,
      in no way deserves
      answer...
      When you neet a biased, send:
       VADE  RETRO...!

Premium Member Thoughts

This invisible being has come
alive inside my mind
She roams freely
thoughts and me entwined
Tossing and turning
she puts me into a bind
Looking for things that she can find
I’ll give her this, she’s behind
my poetry, this mastermind
She refuses to lift a finger
And often springs to mind
And at times she’s certainly not too kind
She has feelings which she often ties
around my neck like a noose
And takes offence, if I don’t think
And sulks when I refuse
I dare not falter, she has a short fuse!

To Cease Increase Police

for all crime to cease
need to hire more police
so they will increase

as i am aging
year after year engaging
war against waging

up emotion built
while we had watched ourselves wilt
caused by greed and guilt

putin do deplore
has a head which seems so sore
dull and a big bore

was known to imbibe
how putin would you describe
evil and connive

has short fuse and stem
for world problems we blame him
while haughty and grim

had started to search
then God did give me a church
with tress oak and birch

even though may be brief
took a short sigh of relief
from the sin and grief

when God would consent
we always knew what he meant
that we should repent

Premium Member Handle With Care

Everywhere we see the signs,
Unstable, Fragile, Caution;
So why don't people have such signs,
So folks know to take precautions.

For some folks have a real short fuse,
That's sometimes unsuspected,
And when we step on tender toes,
The reactions unexpected.

Other folks can play and tease,
And make jokes all day long,
But if you do the same to them,
You'll find that you were wrong.

With this in mind I leave you with,
Some wise and sage advice.
When dealing with most folks my friend,
Some can be un-nice.

'Cause some folks have a temper,
And unthinking oft unfair;
So no matter what your dealings,
Caution - Handle With Care.

Premium Member Santa's Covid Glitch

Santa the Sinner crossed the Covid line,
With PPE rules he did not comply.
Cookies and milk were swapped, his ample appetizer,
He gobbled up the mask and drank the sanitizer!
For reckless misdemeanor he was fined.

At that point poor Santa’s short fuse blew,
Pandemic? Global? Covid? What! Says WHO?
I ran present production all year from dusk to dawn,
The ones you truly wish for, not bought on Amazon!
No crazy Covid protocols I knew!

Premium Member Black Rose

They call me a black rose,
braided with stains of sterling;
Riddled with enormous thorns,
to some a bit menacing;

They call me a black rose,
dark and threaded with pain;
Stained with the blood of raindrops,
a short fuse tipped with lightning;

They call me a black rose,
petals laced with shadows;
No one every really sees me;
They just question me, my everything

They call me a black rose,
a poem in a world done reading;
Punk fluorescent glows,
a black light for hidden prose.

Not Invincible

He is a poor man
Who makes poor choices
But he has rich taste
And that is his poison

He's not an honest man
He'll lie straight through his teeth
Convincing he will sound
Have you ready to believe

He is a greedy man
Who thinks is it is tough
He has all that he needs
Though nothing  is ever enough

He is a lonely man
Who lives in solitude
Pushing everyone away
Due to his bad attitude

He is an angry man
With a very short fuse
He plays mean jokes
Just to feel the amuse

He is an ornery man
Won't take no for an answer
He is persistent as hell
Like a really bad cancer

But his is only a man
Nothing more to his nature
He is as fragile as us
Even when he is angered

He is a withered old man
Stubborn with fight
He struggles these days
Body weak from his life

His a normal man
He is not invisible
His time will come
He is not invincible

Premium Member A Case of the Blues

The world's changing so fast
that my forever dreams no longer last.
Time swiftly slipped away:
for only yesterday
I felt life was all play,
while all those moments now lie in the past.

My hair is mostly gone;
old age advances with each breaking dawn.
I can no longer run,
and I've no time for fun;
friends have dwindled to none;
I've learned that I am no king, I'm a pawn.

Cell phones befuddle me,
I find their complex screens too small to see.
And they connect online;
while most would say that's fine,
I can't even use mine.
And what's an alternate reality?

I am yesterday's news,
just a cranky old man with a short fuse.
And I'm telling the truth,
for it doesn't take a sleuth
to see I've spent my youth;
and it's left me with a case of the blues.

Playing the Long Game

Shortsighted ambition
is the wide path of many
Greedily get how much you can,
anyway you can
Snatch it from the poor,
the widow and the orphan
Ungodly ... beastly
Porcupine fingernails
pick the shark teeth
Light the short fuse on your anger ...
when you don’t get what you want,
when you want it quick
Curse the clouds when it rain,
curse the dry ground when the famine came
It never occurred to you
to spiritually play the long game ...
Eternity is what I’m talking about
You spat out righteousness,
whenever that holy word foamed in your mouth
Playing the long game,
some don’t have the patience required to win
Coming up short on the losing end,
it’s always God they choose to blame
