she stole eggs, one at the time
kept it in her mouth she wanted to give it to me.
I took the egg, just as the hen-lady came
screaming said the dog and I worked in tandem.
I gave the lady back her egg
she refused to take it, not surprising,

It never changes from day to day.
I am always only one card away.
I have come close to a royal flush again.
There is an ace, king, queen, jack, but no ten.
After a while, it does not seem so funny.
