That vision sustained me
  through stormy mid-day

  darkened my way...

Aglow with its light

Honesty’s idle breeze
gently blows whispers
into my blemished heart,
tarnished by metaphors
that hovered above
cloud-covered skies
in search of clarity
upon zephyrs of truth.
Malicious chatter
stirs ill-conceived winds
that rage internally
as sorrowful tempests
squall within my mind
until honesty’s idle breeze
whispers gently again....

of thought forms
gather momentum
we who created them
soon become powerless
to contain the toxins
that they so spew
consuming us

yet there’s a way
a resource available 
immediate and intimate
by which we can extinguish
the demons we’ve created
whose fictional existence
is nurtured simply by
