Land - Ocean

Land uses dress style according to the climate. . . . changing with seasons Ocean is moody chilling with a windless day. . . . raging with tempests Ocean does not care how land looks or if she’s rough. . . he hugs her shoreline Written by Andrea Dietrich For Linda-Marie's Contest: HAIKU HODGEPODGE ..TRIO ... Andrea, first, cangrats on a well deserved win. Second, I just went on a cruise and you described what I saw, perfectly, because the ocean was really rough and it was bouncing me all over the place. The lines "Ocean is moody" and "Ocean does not care" is not only, poetically beautiful, but actually the truth and I found it out 1st hand. This poem really hit home. This is why I proudly have you on my 'fav's' list. ..............Cheers.....R.Ronthorpe

congrats andrea, this one is perfection! I love the personification, and love that closing image of ocean hugging land, very cleverly written...I just read vienna's and she used similar personification for tree and leaf - I love both poems! :-)

You are a very faithful commenter. I was surprised to find that one pop up. I have to do these little tricks sometimes too, to keep up. You've given me an idea. By the way, great trio here and a winner. Love, Joyce

Haiku is nice but clerihew is nicer! Your Haikus are always outstanding Andrea like this one you have just written. I love how you personify the ocean and the land. Thanks for following my works. It is true, I have a special child which keep my life interesting in addition to all the interesting things I am doing. I am about to write another clerihew which is related to my observance this morning. Name is fictitious. Dalila
