L'Orange De Noel

L’orange de Noël

Trump met a girl from the gutter
Who set his heart all aflutter
But she was a chooser
Who called him a loser
Trump really needs a new putter!

Golf Limerick

The was a young golfer whose mother
Constantly around him would flutter.
All over each green,
Her antics were seen,
Until he thumped her with his putter!

Squeezing Full Throttle

There once was a golfer named Joe Jessop
Who liked to eat his hotdogs with ketchup
   His girl opened a bottle
   Began squeezing full throttle
Whoa! That made Joe's little putter stand up!

Chap From Calcutta

There was an old chap from Calcutta,
Who bought a new wood as a putter.
‘A bogey?’ he coughed.
‘This green isn’t soft -’
And swallowed a ball in mid-splutter.

Formal Request

They all heard him say in Calcutta, addressing the ball, with his putter, "Before we begin, I'd quite like to win, so please, pop it in," he would mutter. ~

Better Putters Are Hard To Find

This is start of my poem that over 8,000 other poets
have read.

Be A Better Putter

Was with naughty iron that is a nine,
Which some say has become benign,
That balls seemed slow as molasses;
Did need to take a few more classes.

Rented Sky

Star to let
to a cat lover
and friend of

less perfect dahlias,
to putter-outers of
unwashed milk bottles;

to curtain shifters
and spectacle sinkers,
to all those gods

in Victoria`s long terraces
all waiting for
the flat upstairs.

Trump Butters Up Players

Trump Butters Up Players

We could see all of Trump's clutter;
Golf players up he did like to butter;
The final trigger;
Made hole bigger;
Would play deplorable with is putter.

Jim Horn
C'mon!!! You have to laugh at this one.

Brassie For a Lassie

Brassie For A Lassie

Was great at Golf when she played;
In two drives ball on green than laid;
Was done by a good looking lassie;
Instead of putter she used a brassie;
Took one putt and hole was made.

Sounds like a great game to me.

Rolf Plays Golf

Clyde Rolf
Played golf

First nine
Went fine

Next nine
Not fine

He muffs
In roughs

Sand trap
Oh crap

Tough break
In lake

Bad hook
In brook

Blew putts
Some klutz

Hurled putter
In gutter

O'er par
By far

Disgust
He cussed

Clubhouse
To souse

Pillowed

Beneath the putter
of December skies
twists the Magus,
who floats on dreams
concocted by
mortal lies
ensnared
in flecks
shed from
fear.

Such
wondrous
bounties
consume
vital tissue,
disbursing all
pure matter squeezed
through ecology
like fees tendering
lost gifts precious.

Spring Footles

Mud season
yucky mucky

Hummingbird in flight
zig jig

A flock of robins
swinging singing

New grass
sprout shout

Flying butterfly
flutter putter

Chipmunks at feeders
seed greed

Lilac trees
blooms perfumes

A bright goldfinch
yellow fellow

Tree branches
twig sprig

Snit Fit

Psychologic patterns putter past
teary temper tantrum
abruptly altering an afternoons'
magical moment
fostering feathered friends.

You yawn
in indignant imitation
of outrage only
how humorously
ennui envelops
your yelling
tantrum to trek toward
some stark stumbling
angst anchored
by bloated bile.

When will we
clamly converse, crocodile?

Fatigue

Dragging my dorsal as I glide
sends my energy on a slide
beyond the scope of synergy
until there's not much left in me.

Yawns putter from my monster gape
when I'm smothered flat like a grape
stalled until my vintage accrues,
choking summons such vibrant hues.

The moon above demands my trust
before my flesh breaks down to dust
blowing into the atmosphere
to merge these auras without fear.

You Haunt Me

You’re the tame auspiciously lurking in the still of my nightmares, frivolously evicting the static that haunts my memories, illuminating this frantic mind if even for a second.

Crippling the narrow minded ways in which I’ve become entrapped, a one way road futile in substance and willingness to succeed

The savior of superficiality aligning the monstrosity of a broken roar, promising problems putter to the likening of a minuscule oblivion

By Candlelight

Shadows of contempt spark the walls,
In which eternity calls,
Each billowing flick emanates towards the pall
Of you – I feel enthralled.

Sweet intrusion I feel it, covered like a shawl
Innocent sparks devoured to see me fall
As every beat sees you closer - I stall
Yet this only makes you dearer to all.

Candle light putter brakes you, turns me tall
With this I shall let resistance be my down fall.

Sepia Hues

Autumn colours drift down like aubergine Catch carelessly a crimson columbine Chestnut leaves flutter Auburn tinctures drop down like treasure troves Gather gently from glossy golden groves Amber blades clutter Sepia hues dance down like floating planes Amass amply those amazing remains Ginger fronds putter ~~~~~~~ 08.15.2020 Contest: Tail Rhyme Stanza poetry Sponsor: Emile Pinet

Poor Putter Who Would Stutter So Did Shutter

went on rampage
they never would act their age
creating much rage

what we always did dread
had nightmares sleeping in bed
more people were dead

when willow did weep
we would count the wooly sheep
soon were sound asleep

behind was facade
our minds they would seem to prod
God will love and laud

in field sheep herder
fence supported by girder
news mentioned murder

such a poor putter
when we had heard him stutter
would often shutter

Golfing Mcgee

It was a marvelous day
on the old fare-way
as McGee wiggled up to the ball
waving his putter, when Finn smartly uttered
"Just hit it and cut with the stall"
But 'ole McGee wanted to be
in perfect form for this stroke
So he wiggled again and, Then settled in
In efforts that he might not choke
Then turned to Finn and said with a grin
"My wife's at the clubhouse I fear"
Then, Finn spoke again " It's useless my friend
I don't think you can Hit her from here"

Power

Paper people putter about
Onlookers to inhuman screens
Watchers of those queens and teens
Enthused, amused at others tout
Reaching into an empty drought

Lesson:
This is a combination of Acrostic
and Spanish Quintain or Quintilla
rhyme scheme a,b,b,a,a
It is suppose to have four feet
not sure if I gave it its proper shoes though..
Ha!! Ha!!..It does have eight syllables per
line..Not sure if it does its du, dum or not..
