Light Snow

Light snow falling soft
Brushed gently on the firm ground
The icy wind hushed
Pale moonlight pearled the flakes
In landing the snow awakes

Moon-Pearled Rose

when maple sun melts
along orange ice of dusk
brisk-ballet shall breathe
in pale love's snowy scents for -
I'm your midnight's moon-pearled rose...

Withering Leaf

withering leaf

   cascades on its thin ribs...

Rough To Smooth

From
lake’s front
cliff stands proud
harshly sculpted---
rough

Till
fine grains
tumble down
like pearled beadwork--
smooth

Quadro--Shadow's Lamp

Your shadow returns
In pearled tinges to calm wound’s ache---
Still, I grieve for death
When final lamp of midnight burns.

Her Chair

hush now my daughter
let lamplights crown your damp hair
waiting for beaded prayers
to bathe teary sky
empty Mom's chair rocks no more…
heaven sails with her pearled lips

Janice Pearl Joplin

Deep down inside her earthen throat
God fashioned a pearled railroad...
Her freight train soul gifted the world
a bouquet of thorns and blue hearted roses.
An existence of devilish fire and heavenly rain
Shot glasses of needles and stem rose champagne.

Organic Matter

Although I was afraid of the great flood
I also knew that clay could come from mud
And the organic matter was in which portrayed the molding to a pearled sea shell
When opened confined a treasure
And the floor depth of no exact measure
A grave shallow as six, Lifted and went a drift

Calm of Waters

clear
waters
ripple down
like lace finery-
circling hedges bathed by sprays of pearled mist

how waves' rhythmic symphony grants relief
as gush of calm
quells pained soul--
healing
me

Beyond the Abyss

The sun shines nigh and ice is pearled,
White clouds rest upon mountain peaks,
In this new and wondrous world
Winters winds gently kiss your cheeks,
Oceans filled with joy and splendid bliss
Gently flow far beyond the abyss

Sassy and Sultry From the Twenties

Sassy and sultry from the twenties
Not these twenties, those twenties.
She shows an arrogance unseen for a century.
I am in love with her pearled quail feathered headdress.
Vibrant and alive, she wows me in the best of ways.
Her art deco owl oversees her unique awesomeness.
I feel pride as her artist. She is the ultimate in sass!

Water Lily Mermaid

She lives among the vibrant water lilies,
She lives in the clear, freshwater pond,
She loves to tend her flower bed of peace,
As sunbursts tend the gardens of beyond!

She revels in warm, rife saffron sunshine,
Relishing the finest of two exotic worlds,
Like canaries plunge, upon grapes to dine,
In gold summer shine or moonlight pearled!

Apathetic

Bleached shells catch the sun
and throw it back again,
pearled cup-hearts smoothly clean,
long ago picked bare,
the forgotten feasts of ghost birds.

Waves lick forlorn sands
but cannot coax those dispassionate shells
to frolic in the happy surf;
empty, they choose the dry beach
just out of reach of happiness.

Where Luna Treads

Where Luna treads are silver threads, the wisps of clouds that slide

through sky of night, and shining white, they part so she might glide

serenely through dark twilight’s blue with slow and regal grace.

And to our world, with aspect pearled, she turns a beaming face.

Bifurcation

I believed it was the end of the world. Prepared to leave, the mortal whorled. Into the domain of the spiritual pearled. Into the darkness and absurd. But the butterfly made us realize. Death is the starting point that applies. I've evolved into a spiritual not demonize. From a seasoned butterfly and eagle eyes.

Blind

Azure eyes gleam
touched by summer sunbeams
burning, melt and bleed salted tear streams
this morning's first extreme
stilled eyes close like protective
pearled oysters lost in dream
blinking wide as cleansing teras
bleed their vision clears
somber gaze consumed solar rays
as vision dulled
surroundings fade until night's shade
failing to monitor time
summer laser rays blind

Stranger In the World

R-ighteous stranger in the world
O-n the eighteenth of January
S-tays strong in her faith,
A-waiting the blissful glory.
L-et the stranger in the world
I-ntensify her hope and love;
N-ever does she disobey the Lord,
D-oing the will of God
A-bove.

T-he heaven's street is gold-paved,
A-s the great gates are pearled,
N-o more tears in the eyes
O-f the stranger in the world.

The Sun

The sun is a spotlight
Illuminating this colorful world,
A lake, a flower, a scenic sight,
A waterfall, frosty and pearled.

It creates the evening
when it falls behind some mountain,
the dew and exploding stars blending,
forming an astrological fountain.

The sun comes back to create another day
after the cold darkness and night air.
The day and night competing
like the tortoise and the hare.

Jack Frost

Joyful this heart a-fluttering, As the golden drift of soft light Cascades on hands, laden with ice Kneading whitened snow into balls, Frozen like a moonlight’s pearled orb Releasing its crystal glaze of nights Only a winter thrill can dare... So, let Jack Frost swing brightened tunes To dance on lanes, a- wandering! 12/4/2015 Acrostic: Jack Frost Contest Sponsor: Shadow Hamilton

Sunrise In Summer

Red is rising misty veil from the cliffs,
red is sun unfolding –
looking through the gale,
radiant look withholding.

Land of spires, flowery valleys,
reddish rising beams.
Longwise piney alleys,
rushed are streams.

Pearled blossoms leaves,
life that gropes with sun meant,
to burst its sheaths,
flourish meadows’ scent.

Rocks with flowers girt,
sun-flooded scree,
birds in chirp
and their singing glee.

The Doll

THE DOLL With Mona Lisa wiles, unfurled. Her porcelain lips with tight grip. A button dress antique and pearled.
Her glass eyed threat. Unnerving doll — she’s quite a trip. A poignant face, pompadour curls. Her long stem rose replaces whip? Alien smile out of this world — impenetrable craftsmanship. I broke in pieces as she hurled
her glass eyed threat.

A Spring Morning

Nothing is more beautiful
Than a morning in the Spring,
With dew-pearled grass, glistening in the sun,
And flowers so beautiful,
It makes one’s heart sing.

Birds singing in the morning air,
Dogs playfully barking here and there,
Flowers unfolding for the sun…
I feel so happy, I just want to run.

Spring is the most delightful
Time of the year,
When Winter gasps her last breath,
And resurrection once again is here!

Serene Snow Morning In Ireland

Hushed morning.....
A winter scene from my bedroom window
of soft pearled fields sloping to the sea
Rose hips, blood red with white frosting
Naked branches as snow falls from bough to bough
Pale melon sun shines, as a thaw struggles in

A steel grey sky mirrors a stilled ocean
Shadows of Spruce elongate the milk carpet
Pistachio ivy clings to the tree trunks
freezing fog lingers, the feeble sun waning
as a blackbird hops, mirabelle beak pecking

Romance

Cheeks are brushed with powdered roses
scented like natural freshed born of lilacs
And heart be racing and dearly love exposes.
I am one who flies to him with brokens wings
and aching throats that sings with flowers to bring.

Romance- Brighter and far more lovelier than the stars
and the round pearled moon that glares from afar!
And I am soaring high like a bird, Singing melody and notes
in aches through my throats for the love that makes me float.

Wonderful

Whitecaps, buoyant pearled sea snow;
Overhead crimson-coral clouds bend low
Nourishing earthbound beauty starving souls
Desperate to fill the inner hole.
Eloquently, nature's hymns to God abound,
Rising in waves of color, light and sound,
Filling the gaping wound in my breast,
Uplifting me in God's perfect rest:
Love's evidence brings healing profound.
