Premium Member The Man In the Moon's Surprise
The man in the moon crooned such a tune

That the cow jumped over and mooned

     But a methane gas

     The bovine did pass

The man struck a match and kaboom!...

Early in Earth’s History,
Toxic gases floated here.
Methane ratio was too high,
But God had a plan.

You Are What You Eat
You are what you eat.
Pig meat is for those who like
to wallow in it,

whatever "it" is .....
Beef eaters are fat, angry
methane producers.

You are what you eat:
fruits, grains and vegetables make
happy, healthy folks....

If dinosaurs breathed methane,
And plants gave off CO2,
What in this world would they do?
When methane was gone…

Olfactory Overload
It was a sultry summer eve
When what did my nostrils breathe?
Methane with a touch of green grass
Permeating across the room
Look to the right and look to the left
I swear that weaner giggled with a smile...
As I threw her out the door....

Dinosaurs that roamed the earth
Breathed in methane from the air.
CO2, which they exhaled,
Made earth plants flourish.

Experts Insist On a Bovine Contribution In the War Against Climate
I'm Olive, a once flatulent cow.
Spinach is all I eat now.
That silly green grass
is a thing of the past,
for a new wind is blowing this hour.
To methane reduction all power!
If you're a cow too,
show assent by a moo.

Comment:
What could be odder
than this switch to new fodder?...

There was an old Santa from Limerick
Who became so odd as a maverick
He drove all his reindeer insane
When they showered him with methane
And lived the rest of his life choleric.

He was nominated Santa once more
When the weatherman forecast rain to pour
But his reindeer had all passed on
Tender and rare the steak all gone
When having shacked up with the local whore.

Premium Member Now Blame Methane
What can we do to avoid further mess
as our indulgent ways cause climate stress?
Seems we’ve a problem with our livestock gas,
the methane from the digestion of grass.
With see-o-two it joins there in the blue
and making much worse mankind’s evil brew.
Is it not time that we stop eating meat
and change to a climate friendly diet?
Perhaps we longer be carnivore
and return to our roots as herbivore....

Premium Member O, Bright Shining Star
O, bright twinkling star
   shining speck in the sky
Your place in the cosmos
   matters not to my eye

I don't know if you're arid
   your surface bone-dry
Or covered with water
   your seas swelling high

If your atmosphere's toxic
   filled with methane
Or inundated perpetually
   with punishing rains

So many questions have I
   aflame with curiosity
Yet they all swiftly pale
   midst your luminosity...

Premium Member Voldemort, By Contrast, Was Vanquished Easily
Changed climate is not a surprise
With drilling for gas on the rise
Where can life forms hide
From carbon dioxide
And methane let loose in the skies?

Neo-druids auger gas wells
And add fluids with sulfurous smells!
Are poisons they've tapped
With their magic wands trapped
Evermore by sorcerous spells?

Votes and news seem not relevant
The unrelenting elephant
In all our best rooms
Is fossil fuel's fumes
And toxins we can't circumvent...

Premium Member Dont Blame Them For Climate Change
Rain, rain, rain, unending rain; insufferable, unstoppable; sky-diving baubles dancing, drowning plants, flooding land; keeps me running to the toilet... Fools blame the cows, say, “It’s caused by methane” but, Bovine’s have been around for centuries; blaming them for global warming and climate change is the equivalent of blaming insomnia on a pea!

Holland
Holland

In Holland this sweet clog walking land
have too many cows realising methane gas into the air.
There are many gas explosions in Holland
no one has yet to connect the gas with the cattle.
But it is difficult for them the have fewer cows.
Once I met Prince Hans of Netherlands, I drove his stuff up
to his farmhouse and he never paid me, and that is way
they are successful living in the middle of Europe and
somehow voiding paying tax....

Rhapsody In Blue
In the methane blue
of Neptune’s stew
I wildly whip my wind lasso-
a-hunting for the Dragon of the Cloud!

Through icy fleece
I stalk the beast,
a thousand miles an hour at least,
beneath this sapphire atmospheric shroud.

I’m born of wind,
and thickly skinned-
with Neptune’s swirling vortex twinned.
I hurry hard and bellow out aloud!

To catch him fast
and so at last
undo his necromancy past,
and join again the nation of the proud!...

Simply wants all of the world’s cash
As bills smell in congress they pass
Laws resembling methane gas

Like bad memories as congress passes
Their bills smelling like methane gases
Like moles complain of smelling mo__ lasses
As the politics of fresh air clashes
