"tis Smoke, My Bloke"

As the mind of humanity’s flesh
Simply wants all of the world’s cash
As bills smell in congress they pass
Laws resembling methane gas
Poof, aloof, savings gone in a flash
Of cash stash, my soul is free at last

Our retirement savings of cash stashes
Like bad memories as congress passes
Their bills smelling like methane gases
Like moles complain of smelling mo__ lasses
As the politics of fresh air clashes
`Tis smoke, my bloke; use miracle glasses

Loved this poem again on second reading. It speaks of common sense reasoning. And it was difficult for me to write on the theme of "Pardon my French" without using profanity in a poem. I tried to get another assigned theme to no avail. Love you, Carolyn

The legislation that's being profered today does smell "like methane gases," John. We need miracle glasses to see through the smoke of their deception. You always seem to write what's in my heart. Awesome, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
