Rain drops onto the lotus leaf
Builds up a crystal clear pearl
The Breeze rocks and whirls
Non-eternity life bears grief
Lines.
Vascular, photosynthetic ravines,
Cut deeply into the skin;
They morph from scar into the heart's sustenance.

Floating Leaf
by Amy Swanson
Little floating leaf
Softly swirling in the wind
Unending journey
This last autumn leaf
Without resistance it falls.
Then drifting gently,
It lands it's golden form
upon her soft, smiling face.
dry tree branch sways
autumn leaf clings
the last
leaf through photo album
memories of friend persist
a wayward red leaf
drifting from pillar to post~
lost in autumn breeze

bare
branches,
sky-outlined
one last twirling
leaf

In stormy backwoods
Windy wail in huff 'n puff
Thus, no leaves rustling
Tumbling to the drizzle ground
Desolate leaf settle down
Maroon leaves loop the skyline's soft shine,
claret pearls on the sun's neckline.

I was riding a round in my truck
When I ran over an Irish duck
While holding a clover
He knew it was over
He simply ran out of luck
As fallen dry leaf
by the wind was swept away,
that's how I took my life...
all love and all the time,
with all me inside...!
crimson leaf
lets go slowly~
a soft descent of courage
teaching my heart how surrender becomes
its truest strength
Leaves
Colorful, crunchable
Smell of Autumn
Tons raking
Jumping piles
Numerous shapes
Huge; small
Lovable, crisp leaves
Form:
"The wilting leaf aches now for the drops that once caressed its waxy surface as
they slithered down in fury propelled by the rainstorm."
The leaf caught my eye-
began moving with no breeze!
Oh Katydid-
by God's magic, you survive!
Trees,
oaken,
shivering.
Blustery winds
change style with color.
A rich raiment,
till stripping
them of
leaves.
Red leaf
with the stars,
falling.
Maroon dusk
crawling.
Twirling last
dance!
Prettier, livelier
than ever
before.
I sat there for hours
Sprawled out on a carpet of green
Searching for a four leaf clover
NO LUCK!

I, a fallen leaf-
swirling, w h i r l i n g in the stream,
with silent ripples;
and in my d e a t h and decay,
I am- BEAUTIFUL.
found a shapely leaf
in parking lot with a stem
at her blessed feet
her hips a bit out of joint
her circus smile still in place
A Ripple of river playing cheerfully with floating leaf , I enjoy.
