My hands,
Eroded by life’s troubles,
Quake in fear,
I see it approaching,
Intense and meaningful,
Is a subtle death.
American beauty
grass is greener on all sides
the power of denial
Angela left underdone
structure and discipline home
the world we leave behind
disappearing in the morning sun

this life
this love
what if it's all
nothing but illusion

Always quietly
Listening, while feeling lost
In either their words
Or in all of my musings,
Although, never confusing.
When will it rain?
Rush to the river
Igloos forming
Throughout summer
Enter the main stage
Remain there and reminisce
wishing for happy days
the sun begins to shine
effortless and meaningful
the rays of light so bright
a new day is born
The smell
The feel
The taste
The sound
The sight
These are your five senses
Useful they are,
When getting a haircut
invited to join
after-dinner ritual
scotch in the man cave

When you finally
Pass a phase of character,
You soon encounter
Someone all the same as you
Were before who you are now.
The fork goes on the left.
The poor go on the streets.
And the crock sits on the table
when the date has blessed defeat.
Faith hides ~
All is lost
in the scheme
of things
Faith abides ~
My every breath
a pair of wings
Stabbed subterranean with a feudal dart
Crackled, corroded and combusted on every part
Heart is the only part left apart.
Time permits limited patience & heartbeats
being understanding & holding on
Not hearing from you skips another heartbeat.
seldom spoken words
across the void of sound shown
I see the loud noise

Chanukah is here
special time of year
her bright message so clear ~
A tiny flame displaces
much darkness and fear
What you talk and say
as from within you born
fruit of urgent printing
of your accumulated senses
for lifetime repeated
some so very small
others as great as the sky
and many between -
regardless of their nature
all moments are meaningful.
each day echoes the
last one, a cosmic cycle
of gray, cold mornings,
and trying to find purpose
in every single moment.
Restive meadows, silent stones, shallow graves
~ in words their meanings emerge
Roses aren't all red and violets all blue
the grass is green most of nature is too.

broken my will without you
will tomorrow come
