like a gurgling stream
laced with frothy white chiffon
life flows on quite smooth
their love too grows steadily
hurtling to a confluence

I’m hurtling through time and through space
And I’m driving at a record pace
But the more that I drive
The later I’ll arrive
It’s time I did an about-face

sprung from reality to fantasy
the day my soul recognized yours
and i turned onto your path
now you are bound to me
and i am bound to thee
hurtling together
towards something we cannot see

Plunging, hurtling, misting beads,
Scouring stone shapes.

Hurtling up steps
scaling the heights
Steaming ever onward
no end in sight
Remove the blinders
dear friend, anticipate
each moment ~
ere it alights

Leaping, though mud-soaked
Splattered of face
Out those rains, with toads.
Less in disgrace!
Hurtling, though with burs
Bee stings o'er me
Down those steeps, bump, bump
Summer-possessed,
With flopping lizard.
Not so distressed!

Today I’m grateful for the journey I am making
on this spinning orb through hurtling through space…
because as the native nations understood:
Between who I once was
and who I am becoming
is where the dance of life takes place

A fleeting glance in a crowded room
Electricity hurtling through space
Drawn like a magnet, carnal lust unleashed
Wisdom and sanity scattered to the wind
Lost in a hedonistic desire for the unknown
Loveless fornication in an unquenchable sea

All those dancers and cheerleaders
Dealers and losers
Faint hearts and beacons
Before me
Its Up to me, down to me
I may resume the matter
hurtling footsteps
Sir Lancelot waiting
working out the price of time
Derange all boundaries again

Hurtling through the universe
wings across the cosmos
Maneuvering midst galaxies
his body a joystick
Experiencing a heady freedom
like no man before him ...
What did he lack ~
Why return to a broken home

A mirage shimmering on the horizon
That’s all you ever were
A hazy halo of happiness
Beautiful disaster dancing with my dreams
A hurricane of hopelessness hurtling around me
A bomb which blew up in my face
Deadly shrapnel piercing an already damaged heart

TOBOGGAN
Freezing fingers, freezing toes,
Running eyes and bright red nose.
But he’s oblivious to the pain
As he clambers up again
Then hurtling down the hill he goes

In all of this space, why my spot
Days bygone for just a little dot
I'd whisper to a passing asteroid
Hurtling toward what it may avoid
Don't sit high upon on your mound
Leave it all just as it was found
Do you remember where you started
To be alone is not broken-hearted

A great-big mouse just dashed by me
dressed in a suit and tall striped hat.
I thought I could not be more shocked,
but then here came an angry cat.
While hurtling by in hot pursuit,
he shrieked, “Hat snatcher! Dr. Seuss
made ME that hat. Now give it back.
Why this transpired, I can’t deduce!

Hopping into the mist,
Which was growing colder,
With each dwindling dusk sunray,
I was hurtling into mysterious night dark,
Quite despondent and hapless,
By the lurid events of the day,
I was held afloat,
By a dozing nightingale on a twig,
That still harked,
Do not worry,
Tomorrow will be another day.

In dreams I go hurtling through the night
Snatching at jumbled images of my past
Running but always unable to catch up
Then falling down, down..awake at last
My pillow drenched with perspiration
With relief I breath a thankful sigh
But there will be no more sleep tonight
For the devil might catch me if I try

The ending
A slag heap collapsed with the speed of a Mercedes
with two batteries hurtling down a motorway in
an industrial landscape, grey as a Vera’s lonely life
amid crime and poverty.
On a night like this, how is it possible not to despair
battling a mass of sluggish dreams of endless harms
in a world bent on nuclear destruction.

can we term love as the piercing pain of bliss
heightened rapture we are unable to bear
presence set afire by Divine Mother’s kiss
even as we burn we remain self-aware
whilst hurtling down an ethereal abyss
wherein strangely we’re poised with nary a care
trusting God’s sublime currents to carry us
which is assured because we ride His bliss bus

Weeping petals made of roses
Soft like your smile
Foolish am I for waiting
While you haunt my heart
With insincerities
Smothered by silence
Crumbled is my desire
Thirsting for the river
Glistening like silky flesh
Of the only love I know
Caught in its own end
Hanging across a barbed fence
Hurtling through corridors
Dulling slowly
Fade to black

This thing is a personal engagement
I faced it with trepidation so it doesn’t engulf us
But the thing is us…
an eternal green mile
We chose to embrace distance
Hurtling between disguises
and a glaring scream
It drowns wishes beneath a filtered
wail…
but we lived side by side with it...
always distant,
We learnt how not to love…
but sometimes I forget

I do not know?
Heavenly body, hurtling forward, carrying me home.
Home to where my heart is, home to where my family is,
Home sweet home.
Can you never go home again?
Will it never be the same as my memories?
I need my familiar things, familiar ways
I need to replenish myself; renew the ties that bind
Repair the bonds that must be stretched so far, to where we are now.

From the beginning the end,
And someone travelling towards you
At the speed of light.
Hurtling through the ages:
Bent on finding you.
Traversing ten thousand mountains,
And tearing them all down,
Terrible in his longing to reach you!
But will you receive him when you see him?
Will you give him all you have?
Let him take you till there’s nothing left,
To give you all he has?

Shoulders heavy
with the weight
of Buddha’s illusion,
Atlas staggers
to his grave
Silently he screams
of his elegant despair
and pictures his howls
traveling across the
emptiness
of his small space
until they reach the end
and come hurtling back
adding to the weight
of his burden
and making it heavy enough
so he can fall into the abyss
which he has so carefully dug
